Can't find a place to talk about toons on Netflix in general, so I made one now.
Mod note
- If you're posting video links to trailers, please try to provide a little context about the show as well.

Netflix is making animated shows based on the books of Roald Dahl!
Expect Matilda, The BFG, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and The Twits among others!
In fact, we might be looking at a Shared Universe revolving around Roald Dahl!

This looks hilarious! In keeping with Phil Lord and Chris Miller I expect there to be some profound message/character study along with the over-the-top hilarity.
You can only write so much in your forum signature. It's not fair that I want to write a piece of writing yet it will cut me off in the midGabby's Dollhouse returns with new episodes on August 10.

Netflix is doing two shows based on
Far Cry.
Netflix revealed that another Far Cry anime is in the works. Far Cry is a first-person shooter that debuted in 2004. The latest iteration, Far Cry 6, will feature Giancarlo Esposito and will drop in October. No additional details have been revealed for the Far Cry animated show.
That looks homophobic as fuck.
I looked up who produced this shit and only two or three of the people involved (Cast and crew) are actually LGBT.
That's....not gonna cut it.

The guy who's serving as showrunner is a producer for Big Mouth, a show that's becoming Netflix's Teen Titans Go! in terms of irritation.
That explains a lot.

One of the background artists came out, and he said that the trailer doesn't represent the hard work everyone put into the show.
Someone needs to really fire the Netflix marketing team.
On sidenote, I see lot of people complaining about netflix cancelling shows in three seasons and them not releasing episodes weekly instead of releasing them all at once but like... I agree first thing is disappointing, but its not like they are obligated to renewing shows. I do think it would be more nice if they were more open about it when they take on show though so that show runners would finish story in three seasons rather than ending third one on cliffhanger :p
On second thing is that they DO have user data, so if weekly episode format was really profitable for them more than binge format, they would know about it right? Like weekly format is more good for "weekly internet conversations" and keeping interest in show longer running and such, but thats not directly related to netflix's business model. It sucks for show itself, but again, its not like they do it out of stubbornness right? They probably do have data that says the binge format overall makes more money out of them and they care less about single show having long lifespawn outside of their service, soo uh yeah. Point mostly being that I don't think its about stupidity why they do latter.

As much as I do think the binge format kills a lot of hype and conversation, it sometimes works. Again, it did wonders with Onyx Equinox, which only gained a sizable following after the rest of the series was released. I do think Netflix could afford to experiment with a few shows and compare and see if their shows do better as binge vs. weekly. I know they do this for some of their Korean dramas, but maybe something more "mainstream".
I wish they ordered more animation like they did with Dreamworks, though. Just order several hours of content and have Dreamworks split those up into different shows. Those series actually have a sizable run and have clear beginnings, middles, and endings. Unlike, say, Stretch Armstrong and the Flex Fighters, where they clearly thought they were going to have more episodes, and they didn't.
Apparently, CH Greenblatt once tried to pitch a cartoon to Netflix, but he was turned down.
How did I miss the Q-Force comments?
I'll admit to liking Big Mouth...until I watched I Hate Everything's videos on it. I felt very paranoid of not pleasing someone with a following but the criticisms and mockery were valid.
As for Q-Force, how did they let that slide? I have never seen anyone go that far. I feel even more guilty for my Netflix subscription.

Season 4 of Star Beam comes out June 29.
