Can't find a place to talk about toons on Netflix in general, so I made one now.
Mod note
- If you're posting video links to trailers, please try to provide a little context about the show as well.

Netflix is making animated shows based on the books of Roald Dahl!
Expect Matilda, The BFG, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and The Twits among others!
In fact, we might be looking at a Shared Universe revolving around Roald Dahl!

The general consensus seems to be that it's really good, both from Dota 2 fans and those who haven't played the game.
Started finally to check out The Deep. Not sure I like animation or art style much but not bad kids show I guess?
I watched The Deep a long time ago. Saw all the seasons, I also read the comic. It took time for me not to see the series as an oceanic The Secret Saturdays. It got there but The Deep is a series I would consider informative but something to watch in the background. Also Michael Dobson gets to play a pirate again.
A bit more to do with Netflix in general, but Netflix's Twitter account for genre films and shows "@NXOnNetflix" is now rebranded as
@NetflixGeeked!
Stuff to watch out for!
(And yes, they did spell "Gundam" wrong. They're aware.

I just watched The Mitchells Vs The Machines and it was fucking awesome.
Self-serious autistic trans gal who loves rock/metal and animation with all her heart. (she/her)Very good indeed: funny and quite creative. I like how the cartoonish animations make the normal ones look more real.
But it is a Sony production, Netflix just happens to have bought the distribution rights. This film deserved a theatrical release. We have a work page: The Mitchells vs. the Machines
I just saw the Mitchell’s, and am I crazy or is Linda riding the robot with a lance made of robot parts a visual homage to Tekkaman Blade? It looks remarkably similar but I’m more than willing to think coincidence.
Also the movie was great. Admittedly I was expecting a “Grr, cellphone bad!” movie but it was a lot deeper.
Netflix has announced a trio of animated films with Asian American protagonists and creative teams
. In order -
The Monkey King - based on the famous Chinese folk legend who’s seeing a resurgence from various Chinese films to even DC Comics making a version of the character.
Boons and Curses - from Indian-American creator Jaydeep Hasrajani.
Mech Cadets - An adaptation of the Greg Pak comic from Boom (who apparently do release stuff besides Power Ranger comics).
He's THE Breakout Character of Chinese Mythology. Small wonder he does

EEEEEE! I heard great things about Mech Cadet Yu (the book Mech Cadets is based on), so I'm beyond thrilled that it's getting a series four years after the book came out! ![]()

The next Boom series to get adapted better be Derek Laufman's RuinWorld. Or Tyson Hesse's Diesel. Or even John Allison's Giant Days. (I'd mention Lumberjanes, but HBO Max already called dibs.)
Netflix's Monkey King also looks really cool, too! Stephen Chow's presence is also pretty remarkable since he's actually done two movies regarding Journey to the West previously.

Teaser for the show based on Trese, a noir/urban fantasy/mythology horror series set in Manila. Shay Mitchell voices the protagonist in the English dub.
For animation fans, that means trailers for MOTU Revelation and The Cuphead Show among other franchises in different mediums.
