Time to contribute to this thread because why not:

Oh my goodness, please stop. Most of this thread is you announcing voice actors. I keep clicking expecting actual information. Maybe just edit your last post instead making an unbroken chain of back-to-back posts.
I'm really looking forward to this. I think its dope that David Productions is hitting a title I'm interested in between Jojos.

Alright, time to make this thread more lively even if the first episode come out yesterday and I recently catch up on this:
Episode 1:
So, the theme of Fire Force is basically Firefighters fighting some evil creatures who are actually humans that ended up becoming a fire monster known as "Infernals" and yeah, there's also some religious themes because there's a nun who joins the fight and tries to put the infernals out of their misery once they are defeated. The hero himself, Shinra Kusakabe, is actually a half-infernal who joined the Fire Force squad especially in Company 8 and boy does he have a Dark and Troubled Past as his mother and baby brother was burned and people hate Shinra for it because they thought he is the cause of the fire and has a fiendish smile. Even then, this doesn't stop Shinra trying to reach his goals: To become a hero to save the world as he keep his promise with his dead mother which is sweet. And yeah, the first mission is to fight against the wife of a famous person who ended up becoming Infernal and the Company 8 did a great job at it.
Anyways, opinions on this anime: I haven't read the manga but I quite like it especially the animation is pretty neat given David Production are the studio who works behind the scenes regarding the anime itself. And the premise is pretty insane but in a good way: So you have a bunch of firefighters fighting against a human who turned into a fire monster with religious themes in it. Yeah, the premise ain't nothing new but so far... I'm loving it. Definitely keep tabs on this in the future.
"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."Anyways, according to users from MAL and this tweet, there are several conflicting sources regarding the numbers of Episodes. Some said it has 48 Episodes
and some said it has 24 episodes
. I don't know if the 4 cours are true but that would be interesting and I think peeps will take ANN source because why not? Regardless, imma going to enjoy the ride on this anime
Watched this on a whim after jojo(admittedly this episode was better than this week's jojo) as I noticed it was done by the soul eater guy, going by the artstyle. I found it pretty darn cool, though I felt the gags fell a bit flat. Plus I feel it's a bit predictable as to what happen to the MC's mom/bro but I hope I'm wrong. Still it's off to a strong start.
The opening is cool and the opening song would be cool if the singer's high notes weren't so baaaad. It like, ruins the song.

So that was a nice first episode. Some hiccups here and there, like the weirdly paced dialogue in non-action scenes or that monologue where the captain explains to his subordinates what they already know. I'm also not sure what bringing a powerless nun on the battlefield is supposed to accomplish, unless their prayers somehow have tangible effects…
But on the good sides, I like the protagonist more than I expected − I did think his smile was the "sadistic pleasure" kind when watching the trailers, so the actual reason surprised me − and it's nice that the author actually gave the firefighter woman a physique you would expect a firefighter to have. Although I wish the first two female characters weren't introduced naked in the shower, talking about a guy.
And the production… my god the production. This is a big deal because I'm really not a fan of Ohkubo's artstyle (kinda like Kimetsu no Yaiba's artstyle was a turndown before I watched the anime) but this… does put a smile on my face.
And I can't imagine how much of a pain it must be to animate all that fire. Ditto for the music, excellent all around.
As a side note, I find it a bit hilarious that the first thing Kajiwara's character does is bride-carrying a nun.
PS: By the way… did the ending just spoil Iris' entire backstory…?
