Well, my vote doesn't show up for me.
Keet cleanupHey there. Sorry I didn't respond for a while. But I'm back, and I'll keep a closer eye on this thread from here on out. Anyway, on the new crowner, I voted for "Don't merge and don't make gender-exclusive. Keep the tropes separate using Memers's definitions", which so far is the option with the most votes.
I'm good with that. As rjd1922 stated, I think Laconic.Keet needs to be updated as well. The Genki Girl page looks fine though.
I support that option as well.
Join the Five-Man Band cleanup project!I'm fine to help with a rewrite of the Keet definition (or I can even do it myself), as well as hunt down and remove or change a few misused examples of Keet that I've seen before.
However, I notice on the crowner that "Don't merge and don't make gender-exclusive" currently has 4 up & 2 down, while "Merge Genki Girl and Keet" has 3 up & 1 down, which is pretty neck-in-neck. Should we wait for more votes first?
Yeah I don't think it's ready to be called yet.
"It's just a show; I should really just relax"I think the merge votes massively failed to read this thread.
This has gathered enough dust; I say call it for the first option.
Keet cleanupSeems too close to call to me.
"It's just a show; I should really just relax"Could the crowner be hooked now? It looks like it's working again.
Keet cleanupAttached it.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanKeeping the tropes separate using Memers's description now has a clear lead. Can we get the cleanup moving?
That's right.

Keet cleanupThe definition is "cute perky energetic little brother type character which almost always get feminine qualities", correct?
I was going to sweep over the Anime and Western Animation page for examples I know don't count, but I'm confused about one thing: Do characters who are "little brother"-like but not girly count? They're youthful and loud, but in a boyish manner.

Usually those would fall under Bratty Half-Pint, very rarely do those have the cute lovable qualities.
Once the misuse is cleared up, I think the subpages can be merged into one. Genki Girl isn't split into subpages despite having far more wicks.
Keet cleanupI cleaned up the Anime Manga page to a degree.
About the criteria: What counts as feminine enough to fit the definition of keet? For example, would Aang count as a keet or Genki Boy according to this example from the Western Animation page?
- Aang from Avatar: The Last Airbender certainly qualifies, particularly in the earlier episodes. He does undergo some serious Character Development, though, once he discovers the gravity of the circumstances he and his friends are in. His Keet-ness is taken Up To Eleven when an Earth Kingdom general, who is attempting to invoke the Avatar State for military use, has him drink the Avaverse's equivalent of Red Bull.
Aang: IsitworkingisitworkingIcan'ttellsomebodytellmeifI'mintheAvatarState'causeIdon'thaveagoodviewofmyselfamItalkingtooloud?
Aang has some stereotypically feminine attributes, but he's not to the degree of being "girly".
I think Aang counts. Since Genki Sakura was removed from the page rather than commented-out, what should be done with his quote on the quotes page?

Keet cleanupI realized while moving it that the current page quote is also about Genki. But is there a rule that page quotes always have to be an example? We have pages where the image isn't an example.
Keet cleanupI dont think Aang counts, I haven't seen a lot of Avatar but he didnt strike me as the 'hey everyone I am cute, lovable, loud, energetic, not annoying, and the girls just go Squee to on sight!' types.

I have seen the show, albeit years ago, and I'm pretty sure you're right. In particular, his appearance isn't very feminine or colorful; he wears a monk uniform and he usually has a shaved head (and if he lets his hair grow, he keeps it short), and the latter is so associated with a lack of femininity that the Bald Woman trope exists.
Regarding stuff from earlier in the thread (particularly HarpieSiren's list), I saw that Zidane from Final Fantasy IX and Bartz from Final Fantasy V are listed on Keet's Video Games subpage.note I've been playing the Switch version of the former game lately and I last beat the latter game a year or two ago, and I don't see how they're Keets, and I don't know if they'd even fit Genki Guy. Those two are both upbeat, but not really hyperactive. Bartz's Final Fantasy Wiki page mentions that he "retains his easygoing and friendly nature, and remains levelheaded to the point of being facetious, remarking the others are always 'going overboard'" and Zidane's page says "He advises the party on several aspects of life and is overall laid-back and casual in his actions and speech."
The Video Games subpage also has a lot of ZCEs (one of which outright refers to Kieran from Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn as a Genki Guy) and the Final Fantasy stuff violates Examples Are Not General by lumping multiple games together, but those are separate issues.

You can't always get what you want.I think Aang counts; he's cheerful, energetic, short, pacifistic, open about his emotions, wears colorful clothes, and is played by a woman in "The Ember Island Players".
Keet cleanupHe wears the same type of clothing as the other Air Nomad monks, and being played by a woman was something he vocally opposed; in contrast, Toph liked being played by a buff man, despite her being a young girl.

Crown Description:
What would be the best way to fix the page?
The options on that crowner all got voted up but only 1 was done.
1. Move Genki Guy and Genki Boy redirects to Genki Girl, edit description of latter to describe male equivalent, possibly take Genki Girl to TRS for gender-neutral rename, split accordingly (mutually exclusive with #2)
The
I dont see the 'splitting off' though as Genki Guy was already split off from Keet. Keet just needs a rewrite to firmly place it into the 'cute perky energetic little brother type character which almost always get feminine qualities'.
