And people wonder why Atlas falling is on some people's wishlist now.

At least Elm and Vine look genuinely uncomfortable with what Winter is saying, so either Winter is finally waking up and they're pissed at her for disobeying orders, or she's doing something even they disagree with and is making them finally wake up.
If it's the latter, I may be willing to take Elm off my shitlist provided she also take back calling Penny just a piece of junk.
Those also look like Ren's boots behind Jaune, so it looks like Ren has resigned himself to being taken in.
Granted, it could also be Jaune, or Marrow who is conspicuously not visible, trying to talk sense into them and finally breaking through. He already wanted to take Harriet to task for her Skewed Priorities last episode.

Rodimus: Self-sacrifice, Magnus— It's cheap. It's a cheap way out. I need to live so I can make amends.I guess time to see just how suicidal and stupid they can be in the pursuit of their orders. And I guess this means Ironwood is going to continue down his self-and-kingdom-destructive path, refusing to even consider a desperate Enemy Mine situation. Putting his own ego and need to be in control over cooperating with other Huntsmen to deal with a literal Grimm army.
Odds are Marrow and Winter defecting and Harriet dying. Elm and Vine living or dying could go either way at this point.
I know him doing so would have been a bad thing for him to do and be a sign of him going to far, but fuck it, I am giving Qrow carte blanche to kill Ironwood without any risk of moral quandary. This fucker needs to die, so Qrow will be completely blameless in actually killing someone with Harbinger.

Rodimus: Self-sacrifice, Magnus— It's cheap. It's a cheap way out. I need to live so I can make amends.Robyn kicks the door to central command open, cold-cocks Ironwood, and takes over. Because she can actually run things and knows how to compromise for the actual greater good.
In all seriousness, I would not be surprised at this point if more of Ironwood's side ends up dead. The Ace-Ops are supporting cast turned antagonists, and have consistently shown themselves to be incapable of independent or critical thinking. And that's already gotten one of them killed, but they seem determined to keep digging the hole deeper right along with Ironwood.
I'm on the fence concerning Ironwood's fate. Him dying would work, but I also feel like he would prefer death. His entire thing is about how he'll sacrifice anything, so death seems like it would be his preference to the alternative of having to live with his sins. I feel like the harshest punishment he could face would be to survive, losing all of his military and political power and brought to justice by the people. Forced to answer to the people for his crimes.
Arrested by Robyn Hill.
Because he's the Prince John of that metaphor.

The story of the tin man involves him cutting off and replacing more and more pieces of his own body with metal, until eventually he's completely made of tin.
I could almost imagine Ironwood being fatally injured, then somehow uploading his consciousness into the Atlas servers or something. XD

On the other hand, I think my favorite way to deal with a villain in defeat was the tournament in Chainsaw Man.
Whoever gets him to scream the loudest while kicking him in the nuts wins.
Considering Ironwood's got an iron wood, I don't think that would work.
Rodimus: Self-sacrifice, Magnus— It's cheap. It's a cheap way out. I need to live so I can make amends.Didn't someone ask if he had a gun down there?
Rodimus: Self-sacrifice, Magnus— It's cheap. It's a cheap way out. I need to live so I can make amends.Okay so now I'm a bit confused with the recent episode in regards to Rhodes Semblance. His Semblance allows him to turn his body into metal. Now what confuses me is how this ability has any practical use in the setting. Any defensive capabilities such a ability would have are already being helped with Aura, which Semblances take up right? So wouldn't it be better to NOT use the ability? Even if Semblances don't I'm not sure what use it could have in the practical sense in this setting. There could be potential offensive uses but he doesn't seem to use them for such and his fighting style with his weapons wouldn't really make use of them. I'm just confused as to what purpose his Semblance could be useful for.
x3 You ever seen the shit Colossus or Kevin Levin can pull when they're made of metal? Chrome Champion isn't just a defensive ability, it's also an offensive one. Makes someone heavier and more sturdy, makes their blows weigh more, serves as an extra defense so you can conserve the Aura and use it towards fueling the Semblance. There's a reason Colossus is such a powerhouse.
Hell, just watch Greedling turn his body into carbon as he takes on the Amestrian Military! His claws become as sharp as blades!

(gives cookies for excellent references and taste.)
Yeah, it seemed like he primarily used it to tank damage. Changing his hand to catch Cinder's clumsy strike, trying to protect his throat from attack when Cinder got on his back. Just like actual armor and shields, it would be one more way to prevent injury and Aura breaking.
But it simply made him more vulnerable to Cinder, because her Semblance involves super-heating things via touch.
Forcefield that doesn't protect you from everything since a single super strong hit is enough to break someone's aura instantly, versus a body with the durability of steel that can tank even longer at the cost of using said aura to fuel it.
Rodimus: Self-sacrifice, Magnus— It's cheap. It's a cheap way out. I need to live so I can make amends. He can solve Zelda dungeons without having to get the Iron Boots, what more needs to be said?
It might seem somewhat redundant with Aura, but probably has quite a number of mundane utilities.
