And the Looney Tunes wouldn't let a pun so graciously handed to them and not use it for a joke.
Wake me up at your own risk. Here's the "Trailer Drop"
I hope Road Runner has more of a role this time.
Lord Almighty, I hope the hand-drawn animation in the film looks better than that.
Another father and son bickering over parenting. I guess they wanted to involve the kid as well.
Oh, so Le Bron will be an actual cartoon for most of this. That seems like cheating a little on the live-action/cartoon mixing, but okay. Presumably he will be live action for the live action universes.
The Tunes are "rejects"? Yeah right, as if. Way to dunk on your own brand.
"I need to assemble an elite team to help get my son back."
Are these supposed to be for the basketball team? Because I'm not sure why you think Gandalf would be any good at it. Also, how big do you think this court is gonna be when you're inviting King Kong and the Iron Giant? Place would be very crowded.
Oh, we're getting live action Tunes, too. Of course. They look better than you might expect though, basically 3D cartoons.
On the other hand... Daffy's mouth falling open in his 3D form looks really freaky.
Lola is winking at the camera. Not sure what that is about.
Granny has been working out, it seems. Not sure why she even needs the zimmer frame if she can make moves like that.
It'll be out July 26, hopefully just in time for the lockdowns to come down.
Optimism is a duty.I don't think I've ever seen Don Cheadle play a villain before.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. There was those Captain Planet shorts where he plays a psychopathic Captain Planet.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."He was also the villain in After the Sunset.
I gotta say, Daffy got what was coming to him when he asked Sam to shoot the ball.
Like, how many years have you been working with that crazy texas motherfucker Daffy?! You know what he's going to do!
Interesting that there's going to be an audience of real world people.
I do wonder if there'll be a reference to the first movie and all, like Michael making a brief cameo, or just the toons mentioning off handedly that this isn't their first time on the court. It doesn't have to distract from the movie, but it would feel weird to not do so since such a Lampshade Hanging would be par for the course for Looney Toons.
One Strip! One Strip! They're the Looney Tunes. I guess their behavior can't make too much sense.

Yeah, complaining that the Toons do irrational things is kinda missing the point.
I'd have preferred an audience of cameos, that worked great in the first movie.
Optimism is a duty.Does the court look smaller than the last one.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."To be fair, Daffy rarely appeared with Sam in any of the original shorts.
Sam using guns was surprising to me though, given the whole "no guns in Looney Tunes" thing from last year.
I'm so glad The Iron Giant is getting more love in recent years.
You can only write so much in your forum signature. It's not fair that I want to write a piece of writing yet it will cut me off in the midThe movie could go any direction quality wise, but I am liking the dramatic Art Shift between different realms they are using. It's giving the movie a unique visual identity.
I do think this will hinge on how well developed the villain threat is, at the moment it seems to be "I have your Son" which is an oddly dark Adult Fear to use as the stakes. The original movie used a more abstract alien enslavement, while also giving a lot of personality to the Nerdlucks / Monstars as the opponents to beat.
Do you not know that in the service one must always choose the lesser of two weevils!I also hope the I Have Your Son plot won't take over the movie too much. If they stick mostly with the various universes and basketball games, that will be the most fun to watch, I think. Especially since the "father and son don't get along" thing is kinda cliche to begin with.
Optimism is a duty. The amount of cocaine at WB must be insane to have made a movie where virtual Don Cheadle kidnaps LeBron James' kid forcing him to play basketball while Pennywise and the Droogs from Clockwork Orange watch on.

Zendaya is voicing Lola in this film.
Kinda disappointed they didn't bring back Kristen Wiig, but this has potential to work.

Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks MarathonMake no mistake. Zendaya's bonafide awesome, but the casting here is beyond out of left field. (Which is ironic to type because that's a baseball phrase and this is a basketball movie.)
Also, the website for the original Space Jam movie, which was an (in)famous example of Internet website architecture in 1996 and wasn't updated for a whopping 25 years, finally got updated to reflect the new movie.
BUT! Even now, you can still see the original website by clicking the logo in the upper right corner.

Yeah, Lola's casting is weird. Up until now I kinda just assumed we were gonna get Kath Soucie again.
I feel like this means Lola's gonna have a huge role to play, honestly.
Now that I think about it, nowadays Kath Soucie is only voicing very minor characters in animated works (a one shot character in OK KO and a women in "Wonder Park"). The last time she voiced a major and main character was the Cartoon Network series "The Life and Times of Juniper Lee" which was 16 years ago. When the "Trick Moon" pilot was uploaded to Cartoon Network's Youtube channel last year. Fans were excited to hear Soucie voicing a main character again. Now that I think about it, she isn't as prominent as she was back in the 90s and early to mid 2000s.
People are sprinting onto social media to tell us all how bad Space Jam 1 was and how much they aren't going to enjoy this new one. Talk about being desperate for attention.

Dont you mean that's all, folks?
