Billy Vs Sam

Sam seemed to have diverted her attention again, watching Anna's combo finish off Jerome.

"Oh," She replied, coming back to her own duel, "I'll use Alucard's effect to destroy your set card!" She replied as Alucard took one of it's overlay units into it's cloak, then opening it to reveal a swarm of bats, heading straight for Billy's set card.

Mara Vs Chione

"Alright then," Chione said, taking another card from her duel disk, "Since we seem to be all about Field Spells this match, I'll activate another to replace Kingolem!" She continued, removing Kingolem and placing a new Triamid field spell. "I activate Triamid Cruiser!" The giant golem behind her reconfigured itself, turning into some kind of flying spaceship.

"Now, whenever I normal summon a Rock monster, I not only gain 500 life points, I also can draw and discard a card."

"And since Kingolem was sent to the graveyard, I can special summon a Triamid from my hand, I'll summon Triamid Dancer!" A dancer, seemingly made out of gold, rose up from the sands. (600/1900)

Mellie Vs Amanda

Amanda drew a card and placed it in one of her duel disks spell/trap zones.

"I activate Reasoning!" She declared, "You choose a level between 1 and 12, and I excavate cards from the top of my deck until I get a monster, if it's not the level you said, I can summon it while sending all the other cards I excavated, otherwise I send it and all the non-monster cards I get to the graveyard."

Jo Vs Deckard

Deckard looked at the giant monster and chuckled. "Not gonna lie, that's pretty-" was all he got to say before the massive sword slammed down onto Delta, destroying it, Magnetic Field, and a large chunk of the arena had it not been a hologram, kicking up a puff of dust almost as big as it was.

When the smoke cleared, Deckard was surprisingly still standing, although he was covered with the holographic dirt. (LP: 3950-0)

Huh... interesting. "I choose Level 4."

Byron walked back into the back with a bright grin on his face, cracking his knuckles. "Well, that was fun!" He exclaimed, before blinking and looking around. "oh, shoot, you guys are done all ready?"

Silly Billy vs Sam Hallow

William did an exaggerated 'oh no!' face as Breakthrough Skill was destroyed. Activating the card would be a waste of time and not actually change anything so might as throw his competitor a bone.

Mellie Vs Amanda

Amanda drew the first card from her deck, revealing it to be Hidden Armory, and sent it to the graveyard.

She drew the second card, revealing it to be Solemn Judgement, flinching and sending it to the graveyard.

Amanda then drew the third card off the top of her deck, revealing it to be Poly-Chemicritter Dioxogre, a level 8 monster.

"Ah, seems you guessed wrong, I get to special summon Dioxogre!" A translucent humanoid figure appeared next to Amanda, having the face of a beast, a pair of crab claws, a set of crustacean legs was on its back, resembling wings, and the actual legs of an ox. (2800/200)

"Now, I'll gemini summon Dioxogre!" She declared as energy surged from the chimera.

"With that, you can't negate the normal summon of Gemini monsters! Now, Dioxogre, attack her set card!" Dioxogre rushed forward, claws raised.

"Oh that's bad... I'll end my turn."

Mellie flinched backwards reflexively as the massive ogre rushed towards her to smash into her set monster, the image of a strange, bulbous tree-monkey hybrid briefly flashing into existence before exploding into shards and evaporating. "Fortunately, that was my Baobaboon. When it's destroyed, I can summon two more copies from my deck."

As two more of the odd-looking monsters appeared on Mellie's side of the field (DEF: 1000 x2), she continued talking. "And when Baobaboon is summoned, I can draw one card, then place a card in my hand back on the top or bottom of my deck." She crossed her fingers with one hand and drew her cards with the other.

"Well played to you too, sir." Jo offered a grin and a handshake to his opponent.

Winner's Circle

"Yeah was quite the fun duel on my end as well. Didn't really want to bust out anything that large in my first duel but...well, it would have been offensive to hold back like that." Jo replied with a small chuckle and a shake of his head.

Yuria heard the announcer talk about someone who had performed an OTK with Gusto and won in turn 3, though she did not see it first hand (she was focused on her own duel after all), and apparently one jock guy finished the duel as the same time as her without losing a single life point. Had she seen him before?

...And then Yuria saw a male duelist in martial arts outfit pummel his opponent with a 4K+ Gouki monster. She clapped when he was declared the winner. These people are something else!

When she had arrived at the winner's circle, it appeared as if she was the first to arrive.

Oh, was I first to finish? I hope I didn't get anyone's hopes up.

Anna took a seat at a nearby couch and soon enough, the scanner in her pocket beeped once more. Her eyes widened as she took in this immensely powerful Link signal. Now that was a reading. If she recalled correctly, she heard someone mention that they were a Gouki-user before the second half started, but she can't remember who it was...

Eh, whatever. I'll probably see them in the next round soon enough.

Scotty - Winner's Circle

"Well well well, looks like all the winners are in attendance." Scotty basically swaggered in - he was riding high on the fact he won without losing even one life point.

"...gotta say I'm digging the number of girl winners..."

He looked around and remembered hearing about a Gouki Player who'd finished their opponent off with a monster with over 6000 atk power. For a guy like him, that was someone he HAD to duel against in this tournament no matter what.

It'd prove how strong he was in this, equaling his achievements in sports and acting.

"'Cause I don't think I've introduced myself, the name's Scott Belgrove. Athlete, thespian, duelist. I do it all."

Yuria - Winning Circle

The jock guy caught Yuria by surprise, but she composed herself and smiled at him. "Oh, so it's you, you did well. But... I don't recall seeing any of your movies. Are they indie films?"

"Oh yeah, introducing ourselves. I don't...think we did that?" He asked, stroking his chin before looking over at them. "Well, nice to meet you Scott, name's Byron. Don't...have MUCH going for me just yet, but that's gonna change real soon." He grinned a little bit.

"Oh, I forgot. My name is Yuria Mariana."

"That's a mighty fine monstah, ya got there," William said as he drew from his deck. "Would be a shame if they decided ta switch sides, wouldn't it? Go go Equip Spell! Comic Hand!"

Slamming a green card onto the Duel Disk, a large children's book appeared behind Toon Gemini Elf. It shook once. Twice. Then it burst open, a massive white gloved hand attached to a page by a spring shot forward and clamped down on Alucard's head. The Ghostrick began swatting at it ineffectually before being dragged back in a blur into the book, which firmly shut again. Cartoonish sounds of struggling came from the book as it hopped and bounced around before going silent and still.

"Once an enemy, now a good friend of mine! Rise up, Toon Ghostrick Alucard, it's your time to shine!" The book burst wide open once more with a somehow more cartoonish looking Alucard jumping out, pulling at one of their eyelids and sticking their tongue out mockingly.

TOON GHOSTRICK ALUCARD 1800 ATK [Left-Center]

"Now it's time ta give our audience what they've been waitin' for!" William gestured towards Sam. "Toon Gemini Elf! Twin Teleport Tackle!!" The twin elves wink at each other, as one (1) brandishes a paint brush and the other puts on football gear. The first one (1) begins to paint a circle, of which an identical one (1) appears behind Sam. The other charges forward, going through the circle and bounding towards her target.

Billy Vs Sam

Sam angrily looked at her toonified monster, "Alucard," She complained, "I thought we had an agreement-"

Sam was then interrupted by the charging Gemini Elf tackling her. (LP: 8000-6100)

Silly Billy vs Sam Hallow

"Well, it's important we all learn ta share," William said, with a gleeful grin. The Toon Gemini Elves instead chose to snicker behind their hands. "Speakin' of sharin', it's time ya share ya hand with ya graveyard as Toon Gemini Elf's effect is activatin'! When they deal battle damage ta ya, ya gotta discard one (1) of ya cards. Now ya gotta throw away ya left-most card!

"But we ain't done yet! Go, Toon Ghostrick Alucard! Ghastly Grim Gaze!!" Twin beams of rainbow energy fire out of the vampire's eyes.

Mellie was thoroughly unimpressed with how her deck was treating her. At least these cards were semi-usable at the moment. She picked Sylvan Hermitree and Sylvan Lotuswain from her hand, showing them briefly to her opponent. "I'll stick these two back on the bottom of my deck. Is that everything?"

Billy Vs Sam

"Ah darn it," Sam complained, sending Ghostrick Night from her hand to the graveyard, "Now Alucard, I know you're a cartoon now, but let's talk this ou-" She was interrupted by Alucard's toon laser eyes zapping her. (LP: 6100-4300)

"Rude."

Mellie Vs Amanda

"Yes," Amanda responded, "I end my turn."

Silly Billy vs Sam Hallow

"Well, let's see what ya can do now, Sam!" William's smile wasn't cocky, more goading. "Let's see if ya spooky monstas can stop tha fun of toons! It's ya turn."

"Yeah, go ahead." Mara said with a laugh. "Wait wait, no, I—oh, wait! Hah!" Mara smiled and flipped one of her Trap cards: Amazoness Onslaught! "Thanks for letting me check, I just realized, Amazoness Onslaught activates on The Battle Phase, not, like, My Battle Phase! May as well pop it now."

C'mon, c'mon, give me something good... Yes! Mellie's eyes widened as she looked at the card she had just drawn, and a smile spread across her face. "Thank goodness. Now I can properly enter the duel. I summon Lonefire Blossom, in attack position."

The infamous flower sprung out of the ground in front of Mellie, its bulb sparking slightly. (ATK: 500)

"Unfortunately, it's not sticking around for very long, as I plan to activate its effect immediately. By tributing itself, I can Special Summon any one Plant-type monster from my deck. And my choice is Sylvan Guardioak!"

Lonefire Blossom disappeared in a burst of crackling sparks and smoke, and when it cleared, a huge green-skinned ogre was standing in its place, thick tree-trunk club slung over its shoulder. (ATK: 2400)

"Next, I activate my Guardioak's effect, excavating the top three cards of my deck. Let's see who turns up to help, shall we?"

Guardioak, for his part, took a small wooden horn from... somewhere, and blew into it, then listened intently for a response.

The response to Guardioak's call seemed, to the audience, somewhat lackluster; a tiny plant creature with one eye and a pair of knives, and a strangely robotic-looking anthropomorphic flower with a raygun jumped out from behind Guardioak, with the third card returning back to Mellie's deck. She looked at them in approval. Not bad.

"I set my Sylvan Snapdrassinagon as Chain Link 1, and Flowerbot as Chain Link 2. Firstly, Flowerbot lets me draw a card, then place a card from my hand on top of my deck."

Gonna edit this post with the rest of Mellie's turn, just so I don't end up posting 5 times in a row.

Scotty

Scott looked left and then right, and pulled out his phone. "...Yeah, I guess you could say my first two big things are gonna be B-Movies. But everybody's gotta start somewhere."

He promptly pulled up the You Tube trailer for the first movie to come out - 1212 Nightmare Island Treasure.

What ensued;

"I've spent my whole life searching for treasure, and this island is said to have the mother load."

A person, visibly identifiable as Scotty, walked on to the scene shirtless and looking around the island. The camera seemed to absolutely adore Scotty's muscular build, baby faced look, and flatteringly covered him as he went from place to place, talking with "young experts" who were like Scotty young and well muscled and most often in nothing but shorts.

"But now, at long last, I am close to my ultimate goal."

The camera blatantly looked up at Scotty from the ground as he climbed a cliff toward a cave, showing his posterior and well muscled back.

"The treasure will be mine."

Scott simply nodded once the video finished playing. What could he even say but that the director enjoyed every moment of it.

"Name's Jo Garcia. I'm a hobbyist and a bit of a wrestling and martial arts enthusiast. Just a guy who came to have a good time." He said with a wide grin as he pointed at himself with a thumb. His eyes glanced over to watch the trailer for Scott's starring role in the movie he was showing, he admitted that he was a bit of mainstream trash, not quite recognizing Scotty or anyone in the credits from name alone. He did remember Scotty from earlier in the day but that was about it.

"Wow, treasures and monsters in the middle of the ocean? I need to see this!" Yuria giggled.
