I'm still pissed that Fossil Fusion's been shafted for so long.

We got Valkyries before them

We got f*cking Fairy Tales before them.

At this rate we'll get actual Koala support before they even touch Jim's deck.

Don't tell me Chumley used Koala.

Yep, they have a few anime exclusive support cards, so they're technically an archetype there...

The worst part is that I can actually see them doing it.

So uh, am I the only one who feels like Nick just kind of metagamed here?

When Anna left, nobody batted an eye, but once Anna gets into the alley several posts later, a duel happens and suddenly Scott just straight-up teleported to where Anna is in a single post, with no real warning or earlier suggestion that he was going to do so.

Iunno, just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Eh, I guess.

I don't really want too much of this to happen in the future, but I do like how this does give him an chance to show a Jerk with a Heart of Gold / Everyone Has Standards side of him we didn't see before.

I'll allow it, but I'm asking that nobody does it again going foward. Or at least have some more reasoning behind it.

Personally I think it rings kinda hollow specifically because some pretty extreme metagaming had to happen for it. I really wanna just second that this shouldn't happen again. I dunno, in past games having a "leaving post" and an "arriving post" helped vaguely simulate travel times.

There's a bit of Show, Don't Tell here too.

So what do the rest of us do?

Well, it's mostly the fact that he heard the alarm, waited before he left, and just happened to find the alley and did it all in one post, when it took Anna like three posts to do the same.

It's like the opposite of Ghosting.

Ok so here's what I've decided to do.

Scott can't join the duel against Jerome.

Nick, you have the option of just retconing your post so that Scott never showed up (And I'll do the same with my follow-up), or Scott can be there but will be unable to duel or interfere with the duel.

As for everyone else, you can either continue to talk or leave for the hotel. There's nothing stopping you guys from casually dueling each other in the downtime, other then personal reasons of course.
