So, options that have been discussed:
- Cut Delicious Fruit Pies
- Move Delicious Fruit Pies to the Stock Parodies list
- Create Advertising.Hostess Fruit Pies to describe the campaign and list Shout Outs and specific parodies.
- List all examples on a separate Comics/ page for Enforced Plug.
- Do nothing.
Have I missed any?
These aren't all either/or choices. For example, the existing page contains both Shout Outs to this specific campaign (which 3 takes care of) and examples of similar ones (which 4 does).

I think you meant Advertising.Hostess Fruit Pies in option 3, not Snack Cakes. Anyway, 2 and 3 are the options I'm going with.
Edit: I previously accidentally put the wrong option number in this post.

You can't always get what you want.option 5

Cheers. Also added a note that for some of these, we can combine more than one.
Personally I'm of the opinion that the main problem with this page is that it's not clear if it's a trope with a very specific Trope Codifier or a direct Shout-Out that covers some very vague references (is "a guy stops to eat some Brand X hamburgers" really a reference to ads for pastries?)
But certainly if we keep the page Delicious Fruit Pies, it should be in the Stock Parodies index.
Option 3
1 & 3 I feel.
Edit: I would be ok with 2 & 3 as well.

Health sure is versatile. It's possible to be both light-headed and dim-witted. At the same time, no less.2 and 3.
Options 1 and 3 (Although I still don't feel that listing Shout Outs is necessary. We don't list them on Advertising. The Burger King).
There's also Option 6: Move non-Shout-Out examples to either Enforced Plug (e.g. the Discworld example) or Bribed With Food (e.g. the Darker than Black example). I support this, as well.

I'm very much against 1. This does belong on the Stock Parodies page, but there are tropes on that page that have fewer examples and crosswicks, and I don't want the trend to go toward cutting them, because I do think they're valid if somewhat niche tropes.
I would consider a trope like Parody Product Placement to cover examples like this. It has the advantage of being alliterative, for people who like to keep score.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I agree with this idea.
You can't always get what you want. That's a good idea. Between that and creating an Advertising/ page to describe the original campaign I'd say that covers the bases.
I'm surprised Parody Product Placement isn't a trope already. Also, the alliteration for that name isn't at all forced, which is neat.
I'm good with making that and doing options 2 and 3.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Only noticed Enforced Plug now. Not sure now if I prefer option 4 or 5.
Extending clock.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanAgreed. Would we move parodies of Enforced Plug to the new trope as well?
"It's just a show; I should really just relax"Seems to be a lot of agreement on Product Placement Parody. Time for a vote or do we proceed to TLP the new article?

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Given crowners are broken, let's just make the TLP draft.
Health sure is versatile. It's possible to be both light-headed and dim-witted. At the same time, no less. Will a work page be created for the ad campaign?
Join the Five-Man Band cleanup project!I made a Page Action Crowner, since they seem to be working again, more or less.

What would be the best way to fix the page?
