Seven Seas has acquired the license for "The Legend of Dororo and Hyakkimaru" Remake Manga.
Apologies for the necro.
I've recently been reading The Legend of Dororo and Hyakkimaru, having recently found them at my local bookstore.
I find it really interesting to see this manga's different takes on the characters, such as:
- Hibukuro and Ojiya being the ones that found infant Hyakkimaru and bringing him to Jukai.
- Tahomaru having part of his body given to a kitsune and being acquaintances with Jukai.
- Tanosuke getting more focus with his subplot about wanting revenge on the youkai responsible for the death of his sister; I was especially surprised by him actually willingly parting with Nihil after he finally gets his revenge.
- Mio in this story being a Composite Character with Okaka, and actually surviving in this manga.
- Daigo definitely comes across as more villainous in this manga, though I suppose I should wait and see where the story takes him.
- Biwa-Houshi apparently being the famed onmyoiji Abe no Seimei is also an interesting take on the character.
I'm definitely curious to see how the story turns out.

"I squirm, I struggle, ergo I am. Faced with death, I am finally, truly alive."Definitely some interesting changes there. I think I prefer the anime version of Daigo being a little less villainous. And is Biwa-Houshi supposed to be the old priest? Also interesting to know that Mio survived in the manga.
The manga version of Tanosuke willingly breaking from Nihil is actually pretty cool and I wish that stayed in the anime.
I definitely like seeing the various adaptations doing their own takes on different characters, especially since most of them do a pretty good job making their own takes interesting in some way.
I particularly like seeing how The Legend of Dororo and Hyakkimaru go different directions with certain characters, even resulting in certain characters interacting with characters they normally don't interact with, such as Tahomaru and Sukeroku.
I got a glimpse of some not-yet-translated chapters, and it seems like Maimai-onba features in the latest chapters. I'm also curious to see what the manga's version of Shiranui and his two sharks are like.

Starting up a new thread for the Osamu Tezuka manga Dororo in relation to the new Anime coming out, which you can read about here
and here.
This looks really interesting. Hyakkimaru's cool.
