I finally found out what it is! It's Dead or Strike by Ui Nishimori. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be translated.

I managed to watch an episode of imagine-nation (broadcast November 20) that had a feature on the famous horror mangaka, Junji Ito.
Amusing how the show used the instrumental ending theme for the Tomie OVAs (from the Junji Ito Collection anime). And speaking of Tomie, who'd have thought that Junji Ito's inspiration for the character was an enka song?
(*returns to binge-watching the other episodes*)

Has anyone archived this show? I would love to watch past episodes.

"imagine-nation" just did an episode on Mangaka and Character Designer Legend Yoshikazu Yasuhiko!

I'm starting a new forum for imagine-nation, a show on NHK that focuses on the latest in Anime, Manga, and overall Japanese pop-culture. Does anybody watch this show? I like to check it out every now and then, and I learn about some cool works that I'd like to check out. One such work that I can't remember is an over-the-top baseball Web Manga that's part of a Web Manga service website. I made a post about it on "You Know That Show..." in hopes of finding it again, but I haven't gotten any responses yet.
