Also known as the other good movie directed by George Lucas.

Anyway, I'm only starting this thread to let everyone know that something called "Flashback Cinema" is running this movie in theaters on September 2 and 5. It's supposed to be good!

[up]Well, yeah, seeing as how they both had Mel's Diner and they both had Ron Howard and they both were about young people in the early 1960s...

...although supposedly Happy Days was already in development when American Graffiti ran in movie theaters. In any case, I think this movie is strangely forgotten in latter days, especially when you look at that murderer's row cast and, good Lord, the director.
