I would love it if we could just plop down any (already existing) stage gimmicks we want, alongside the various blocks
So, now the question: who is Jane? Apparently the datamine had a ponytail character in one of Joker's alt color spot. But all he has are 5 recolors of his default and 2 school uniforms. So Jane isn't from that.
Crazy, unfounded idea: Jane is Dixie, using the Tarzan connection with her being an ape.
More than likely it was just junk data from whatever.
But I suppose if I had to be ridiculous, I'd say Sakura Shinguji from Sakura Wars. The Jane name coming from her being a female SEGA character while "Jack" is a male SEGA character.
From what I remember it was an array of letters and JANE was something that they saw in a vertical column.
I like this Stage Builder except for the limitations of stuff. I think it hampers my attempts to draw background characters.
But I managed to get CQ Cumber in the background... watching Inklings fail his test.
That's perfect for stamina, where everyone explodes when they get knocked out.
Am I allowed to share my Super Smash Bros Ultimate custom stages here, or is there an official thread that I haven't found yet?
So this isn't confirmed but I thought it was worth bringing up. Some guy found that looking up certain characters would cause an ad for the Fighter's Pass to appear.
I might be wrong because I don't know how searching algorithms work, but wouldn't characters who'd been "leaked" before show up in relation to the fighter pass due to people looking up their leaks in the past, regardless of whether they're authentic or not? Seems to me that that is just folks desperately reaching for any small "hint" or "leak".
This is ridiculous.

Who are the characters?
Artorias from Dark Souls, Doom Guy, Ryu Hayabusa from Ninja Gaiden, and Banjo.
Aside from Artorias those other 3's names get thrown around a lot.
If it's real than I can't say I care for most of these picks. We already have 2 ninjas in the roster as is, Artorias doesn't look like he'd have a particularly interesting moveset, Doom Guy probably won't be markedly different than Samus, and as much as I'd personally like Banjo, I actually think the Duck Hunt team kind of fill a similar niche already.

Plenty of people have guessed Doomguy, Hayabusa and Banjo before, but Artorius is definitely a weird pick. You'd think it'd be Solaire since he already has an amiibo, and he's kinda the closest thing Dark Souls has a to a mascot. Also, if Doom is being represented, should it be classic Doomguy Blazkowicz, Doom Slayer or both as alt costumes?
Does Dark Souls have a Japanese fanbase?
I for one have seen Artorias thrown around reasonably often. He seems to be the go-to for Soulsborne speculation. ...I don't think he's very likely, though; Smash tends to go for protagonists (and From doesn't seem to care much about Nintendo)
None of these characters strike me as likelynote They're individually not characters I'd expect to see expect maybe Banjo, and taken as a whole there's a definite "western hardcore gaming" vibe that's not typical of Smash, and advertising like this'd be an uncharacteristic move on Nintendo's part. Possibly a troll? Or weirdness from Google's algorithms? Either way, I don't think this is meaningful
I'll also note that I don't seem to be getting this ad at all

Google Waluigi and see what happens.
If the ad appears then it's just a weird algorithm bug
I don't think it's anything.
x4 Considering it's a Japanese game, I think it's pretty safe to say that it has a Japanese fanbase.
It is interesting that exactly five characters and only those five characters cause the ad to appear (at least, from what people have found so far). I won't buy into this leak because it seems suspicious, but I would be very down for this particular set of characters. It's basically the same DLC leak as earlier but with one character I don't really feel any attachment to (Erdrick) replaced with another in the same vein (Artorias).
This "leak" sounds extremely stupid. Whether or not the Fighters Pass ad shows up means nothing, you could get that on a video for Fortnite but that doesn't mean the battle bus is getting in.
This "leak" is dumb. It's clearly algorithm shit, plus why would Google know this?
Remember, the Grinch Hoax is a thing that happened. Use common sense.

Common sense is stupid.
Use pattern recognition instead.
ah yes,the Grinch Hoax
so many hopes at that moment
When I heard about the leak it made me think that the Grinch himself was going to be in Smash.
Well let's create a new pattern.
Next character will be the same colour as Sakurai's shirt
