you make me want to do terrible things to you~> also blinx the time sweeper is now open domain, microsoft didn't file to renew the copyright for him so basically anyone can use him.
I'm going to need a source for that
New theme music also a boxThey might not have renewed the trade mark but there are probably other deals which means it's not completely free
New theme music also a boxyeah true, but microsoft wouldn't touch blinx again with a 24 foot pole due to
- A) blinx's character design was considered "creepy" and the fact that blinx was mocked throughout the 2000's and even today
- B) the failure of blinx 2
- C) microsoft's "mature" install base is so used to halo and gears of war at this point, also characters like banjo and lucky have completely snuffed out blinx.
The third one is a gross generalization.
Where there's life, there's hope.I'm just saying that blinx has been snuffed out by other franchises and is generally considered Snark Bait despite the first game being a decent platformer, microsoft has no reason to bring him back besides maybe nostalgia down the line or to possibly market to japanese players (blinx was the only successful xbox game in japan, besides maybe SMT NINE) just to clarify, I love the first game.
you make me want to do terrible things to you~If Bubsy (who is totally going to be one of the later DLC characters) is any indication, you can never be certain as to just what attempted mascot will make a comeback.
In all seriousness, I need to look into more details as to just what this "Xbox Live on the Switch" announcement entails. Because if part of this means that Xbox Live Arcade titles are soon going to become cross-platform, maybe all those people asking for Cuphead in Smash might have been on to something.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.true, I am convinced we live in the Darkest Timeline when we are getting a new bubsy game in 2019 yet my boi metal gear is dead. I would eat my hat if after all this microsoft announces blinx 3 instead of banjo-threeie (cries in guh-huh)
Also cuphead on switch would be awesome, say what you will about the diffuculty or the fanbase it's a heckin cool game Iv'e been wanting to check out but don't have an xb1.
you make me want to do terrible things to you~Clearly Cuphead is getting into the game since he is an Xbox rep.
I have been thinking about this for some time. I don't think Erdrick or "Brave" will be the next character revealed. If Nintendo is (and likely is) aware that people are expecting Erdrick to be in the game, they will likely throw a different character reveal to throw people off, especially if it is a different Square-Enix character (part of me wants 2B to be revealed to set off a massive internet fireworks show).
Don't get me wrong, I still think Erdrick is actually in the game. And I feel "Dragon Quest" is one of those major Nintendo third-party game franchises that surprisingly doesn't have a representative in Smash Bros yet. I just don't think he will be the next character revealed if lots of people are expecting him to be in the game based on leaks/datamine. Also bear in mind, I don't know how the development team is handling development on DLC (work on a single challenger pack at a time or all five packs at once). The ability for Nintendo to switch around the reveals and throw people off is more likely if it's the latter.

That would be a very dramatic overreaction. Some circles of the web have latched onto the idea that Erdrick is likely playable, but the probable Smash DLC consumer base is much larger than the population of forumgoers and leaktuber enthusiasts who engage with that kind of information. Besides, nobody has any irrefutable proof that Brave is Erdrick yet, and there's really no reason to make huge business decisions over what's basically an collective educated guess that isn't even close to unanimous in the community.
Moreover, it's likely that Pakku, Jack, and Brave were being worked on in that order, and that the back half of the DLC hadn't been started yet by the time the first three's files were patched in. Switching Brave with the next guy now would throw a huge wrench in their plans, since they'd have to rush out the replacement to keep up their planned release schedule.
I wrote the post under the assumption that Nintendo does pay attention to the community and the information it acquires, as well as the development team working on/or have planned other characters other than Jack and Brave as of writing (though they may not be as prioritized).
The idea of Nintendo personally pulling a switcheroo in favor of a complete out-of-left field character to purposely troll those who were expecting Erdrick as the next character is too funny to pass up in my opinion.
Again we don't even really know WHO brave is. Plus nobody's gotten anything correct in terms of DLC guesses/actual leaks outside of that one obscure leak from /v/ in September that correctly stated Ken, Incineroar and Plant as the next characters.
Warrior to the very end! My tumblr, dood!I know. I wrote those posts under the idea that Brave = Erdrick, which I know may not be true. Brave can be anyone. Brave may not even be a Square-Enix character. I wrote those posts with Erdrick in mind because he seems to be the most talked about in regards to the identity of Brave. Jack may not even be Joker. It could be 2B .
Wasn't there some stats of this "brave" character that had some stuff, including the fact that they had some projectiles?
I do writing, feel free to check out my stories here! https://numbugwritingblog.tumblr.com/post/686233243868102656/numbugs-shared-heroic-uniSo, in kh3 there's a heartless in the toy story world called "marionette" that looks a lot like Geno from SMRPG, this probaby is just an Easter egg but for geno supporters it's good to note even though I think Geno is verry unlikely at the moment do to Nintendo trying to focus on new franchises, it wouldn't make sense to have 2/6 of the dlc be from mario :/
you make me want to do terrible things to you~what games does 2B have coming up?
Also, of all the franchises from Microsoft, people suggest Conker over the best selling videogame protagonist ever?

You mean if she has made any appearances on Nintendo platforms? She hasn't. In regards to other games on other platforms, see SoulCalibur VI, several mobile crossovers, and upcoming Nier: Automata themed raid missions in Final Fantasy XIV.
As of writing, the Drakengard/Nier series has nothing with Nintendo; no characters appearing in any game on a Nintendo platform, no cameos, no nothing. Do I want her in? Yes, for the absolute internet fireworks she will set off. Do I think she will make it in? Most definitely not, but who knows what goes on with Sakurai. Does this mean I can't make jokes about her getting in? Of course not.
She currently stands out to me since her series currently never ever has a trace on Nintendo platforms. And given how hungry Square-Enix is to milk the series right now, a given opportunity to put the character in may not be as far-fetched as some expect, though it is still an extreme long-shot. Unless a Nier/Drakengard game is announced for Switch, her inclusion would be the perfect concoction for the biggest internet fireworks show caused by a Smash Bros Japanese third-party character reveal.

Well, to be fair, I think she's up there in terms of likely SE reps because of shilling from SE + 2B being a popular SE character.
Warrior to the very end! My tumblr, dood! That may be true but I am still in the mind that her inclusion would result in the largest internet fireworks show. She would also bring a fair share of implications regarding third-party character inclusions in both Ultimate and future potential Smash games and outright affect the discussion of upcoming challenger packs. This, of course, assumes no Drakengard/Nier game is coming to the Switch prior to such a reveal. Such a game would reduce the reactions to her inclusion.

With Soul Calibur, its the opposite, the characters are there to sell the game. I'm willing to bet there was a fair bit of begging of both SE and CD Projekt to let them use their chatacter, so they'd get some attention for the series.
We don't even know if "Brave" is a Dragon Quest character, or if a DQ character is even in the game. I only threw 2B out there to express uncertainty in regards to the identity of the characters and code names, while pondering the idea of her inclusion in the game when inquired about her appearances.
This stemmed from a discussion a few users and I had about the idea of Nintendo taking matters personally regarding the leak of the "Brave" codename.

Is Sly Cooper an X Box thing? If so, he'd be cool.
It's been 3000 years…
