when does this franchise END?
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!You know, I actually thought about putting something like that in the title; but I also wanted to be around for this thread.
So, to answer your question, Transformers will die when they stop making money off of it.
Answer no master, never the slave Carry your dreams down into the grave Every heart, like every soul, equal to breakWhen does DC Comics end, when does Marvel Comics end, when does Dragon Ball end, when does TMNT end, when does Star Wars end, when does Star Trek end, when does Gundam end, when does Yu-Gi-Oh end?
What a silly question you just asked.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."-_- Indeed.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!From all the previews, there's nothing it does to create its own identity. I doubt I'll watch but I wish the best for everyone else.
You kidding me? This is a brilliant toy-line. The people who work on the media tied to the toy just need to do a good job at subverting the various interpretations. Sometimes, it's also best to give it a break but people clearly aren't interested in that.

Yeah the toys are fucking phenomenal.
I treasure my Animated Blitzwing & purple Starscream-clone (I forget his name) & Last Knight Barricade has a great toy too.
If a franchise can keep making good products then it has the right to exist as long as it want.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Purple Seeker is Skywarp.
Was he the coward?
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Yup, that's Skywarp.
The character designs are Hasbros' new "Evergreen" designs.
Following the last two movies underperforming, Hasbro decided to re-center the various lines they had. This leads to the ending of the IDW comics this fall. Part of this was these new "Evergreen" designs, most of whom are G1 inspired (though not all - Bumblebee borrows alot from his RID 2015 design with his g1 head), which Hasbro wants to push as the "Default" incarnations of the characters. Some of the Evergreen designs appeared in IDW's comics, but Cyberverse will be the first series to use Evergreen designs.
Cyberverse will also be the first TV show since the Unicron Trilogy without Peter Cullen voicing Optimus Prime (As the Prime Wars trilogy were online shows).
Bennett the Sage's editor and script editor, Marc Swint, is voicing Soundwave.
The 11 minute format, along with the kind of low key cast of voice actor, to me screams of "This is being made on the cheap" and raises some questions about Hasbro's hopes for the franchise. If I were to venture a guess, I think hasbro intends for the show to be more of a stop gap. Sort of like the RID that came out in 2001. Only this time Hasbro doesn't have a Japanese show to import, so I'm guessing they settled on something cheaper to produce than RID 2015 and Prime they could slap on TV. Perhaps to wait and see if the Bumblebee movie rescues the movie franchise.

That Aligned continuity didn't last long, didn't it? One cartoon, one sequel, one spin-off, and one anime straight-to-DVD that no one watched.
TBH, I was worried that I might be lost in the new cartoon because I didn't watch Robots In Disguise.
Awwww the IDW comics are ending?
I sad.
Hopefully the Bumblebee movie places the franchise in a better place.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Well it's still not clear if it's related to RID or not. It does reuse a lot of the cast.
Aligned also had 3 video games. 2 which were very good.
And who had spectacularly awful novelization.
The current IDW verse is ending. IDW retains the liscence and will restart a new universe. That said, a lot of the writers of the existing lines won't return. James Roberts (MTME, Lost Light, etc...) confirmed he'd be moving to other non-Transformers projects.

Man I wish I read more of the comics when I had the chance.
Hopefully the new run is good & well wishes to the leaving writers in all their future non-Transformers endeavors.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Same here in regards to the new TF run. I am too scared to jump in to the IDW Transformers continuity as they (to me) are not easy to get into as GI Joe (which basically shares/continues the canon of the Marvel Comics). And this is coming from a guy who had no problem reading ALL of the Archie Sonic comics (god I did some crazy shit in high school).
So yet another new continuity will be a good fresh start for me to get into the series.
But what about Transformers Animated? That show came after the Unicron Trilogy and have David Kaye (ironically) voicing Optimus Prime.

Don't Judge me, need more views: https://www.deviantart.com/big-k-2011 | https://bigk1337.newgrounds.com/ | https://twitter.com/BigK64133I'm really baffled by 11-minutes format. Yeah, other cartoon reboots like TMNT or Ben 10 lately were all changed to shorter episodes, but both of these are comedic in tone. So either TF:CV is sillier than it looks so far, or 11-minutes is just how they do cartoons these days.
Completely forgot about Animated, right.
IDW isn't super hard to get into. I'd not say it's super easy either, but you shouldn't be worried. MTME and Lost Light are gems that should be read if you love comics at all. They are arguably the best Transformers Media, period.

I’m guessing the latter. Easier to program on linear television and easier to keep the attention of viewers.
So, I watched the second episode, and I'm kind of disappointed. Mostly because 11 minutes ain't enough time to cram in an good fight without rushing the plot.
Answer no master, never the slave Carry your dreams down into the grave Every heart, like every soul, equal to break11 minute shows are cheaper than 22 minute shows. That's mostly it.
I'm kind of enjoying the series, but it kind of feels like it was meant to be a movie rather than a series.
According to the Wiki, "Chapter 1" is six (11 minute) episodes long, which makes it just over an hour by my estimations.

Hasbro's official channel posted Episode One today.
After watching the first four episodes on Cartoon Network's On-Demand service, I'm warming up to this series's approach of an action-comedy hybrid in the vain of Animated. The 11-minute format is a good thing in my book, reducing down the amount of meandering B-plot moments and efficiently hitting plot points (which RID 2015 had a tendency to struggle with at times).

Hasbro also uploaded Episode 2 ("Memory"), which has Windblade trying to restore Bumblebee's scattered memory bank with a more powerful Psychic Patch.
I'm curious if Hasbro's going to continue uploading the series on Youtube, or if they're just counting this as the "free viewable pilot" trend that Nickelodeon and Disney have adopted recently.
If it's the latter, it would be similar to how they distribute Hanazuki, where episodes gradually uploaded on Youtube before being aired on Canadian television.
Is this a sequel to the 2015 show or is it standalone? Also I've heard mixed things about episode count. x3 says it's six 11 minute episodes but Wikipedia says 18 episodes. Anyone know which is accurate?
So instead of Optimus Prime losing his memory (again), it is now Bumblebee\'s turn to be the amnesiac. Think this sounds cruel? Well, he has Windblade ( the VTOL jet) helping him out in the first episode, followed by the usual cast and Blurr. And speaking of the characters, we have no less than 4 Seekers (because when you\'re with the Cons, there\'s an chance that your own air support will try to nuke you), Megatron: The benevolent ruler of the Decepticons, Soundwave, an creepy-looking sports car, and Shockwave the scientist who transforms into an crab with an gun on his back (seriously, that\'s what the toy does).
So it airs on September 1st with an 11-minute format, season 2 is scheduled to air sometime in 2019, and the character designs is an homage to G1 if the villains\' officers and air superiority are anything to go by.
I\'m looking forward to the shit-stirring that an certain someone will eventually cause.
