I've read some VERY creepy Yu-Gi-Oh fanfics, as well as some Pokemon ones.
The Protomen enhanced my life.Oh yeah? What were the Pokemon ones, do you remember?
TV Tropes is my sacred text, and someday I shall use it to conquer the world! For some creepy My Little Pony fics I would actually recommend, see A Toast to Friendship (a "one of the main characters kills her friend" story that scares because it dives into the killer's psychology) and At the Mountains of Discord (a Lovecraft adaptation that builds on the horror of its source material, rather than just copying it).

I didn't write any of that. There is an few Worm fanfictions I know of like Seed and Starry Eyes that have horror elements to them. Seed was inspired by a few horror movies and Starry Eyes is pretty much an mini-Shoggoth tries to be an hero and is failing. I also saw an small couple good Danny Phantom fics that casted the show in a more horrific light and not in an needlessly edgy way either.
Its pretty hard to find an good horror fanfic though as most either try way too hard and fall flat or they go the way of being incredibly mind-screwy to the point that its hard to tell whats going on. Albeit some people like works like that.

This G1 MLP fic probably isn't meant to be scary, but it is sad and disquieting. https://www.fanfiction.net/s/980998/1/Eternal
The Protomen enhanced my life. There was this Ed Edd n Eddy fanfic called Eddward... -shudders- about Double D turning into Johnny The Homicidal Maniac and proceeding to kill off the rest of the show's cast indiscriminately. It spawned a sister story about Johnny that I think was about him and his imaginary best friend being linked to some kind of Eldritch Abomination that was partly responsible for Double D going on a Kill Em All rampage.
It was kind of fascinating to skim but way too dark for me to read at the time. Now, though, I think the author deleted their account. At best I was able to find a Youtube video of someone summarizing Eddward but I can't find anything else related to it. I'll have to try the Wayback Machine some day.
There was this one Katamari fic about the people inside of the game's setting, dealing with the reality of being swallowed up by a continually-growing mass of objects each day.
I think we used to have a section called "dark fics" and that was how I found these gems actually.
Last but not least, a story I know is still around called Blood Rose. All I'm going to say is that the author's named is "Rapey Lemons" and that the story is not safe for work. I skimmed the first 10 chapters years back just to see where it was going and haven't looked at it since.
There's this one story that isn't outright gross, but immensely unnerving called Challenge Of The Superfriends: The End, and it's about the Legion of Doom stumbling into a larger, horrifying, Lovecraftian setting. And the experience changes every single one of them.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Ah, but on the less "oh my god gore, rape, Cthulu, squick" side there was this charming little fanfic from the Life Is Strange section called Multiverse Theory.
If you've ever played Life Is Strange you know it's a game where you play as a teenage girl who discovers she has the ability to reverse time and save herself, and her friends, from life-threatening situations. The story I linked above is about all of the times the player did that.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Oh yeah I remember that fic I think.
If I recall correctly it came off as an revenge fic moreso then a horror one though sadly.
With Pearl and Ruby Glowing has some good writing, but it's got every trigger in the book and it's just a lot to take in.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.
I\'m curious to see if any of you have read any genuinely unnerving, creepy, scary fan fictions. Horror is subjective, but I\'d like to know if there were any fanfics out there that you personally found creepy. It doesn\'t matter if the source material is already in the horror genre or not.
As for me, I read With Apologies to Harlan Ellison by Cat Bountry and halfway through I felt a little nauseous. Brr. God, those descriptions. I\'ve heard things about Cupcakes, but is it actually horrifying, or is it just shock value?
