Stefan seemed to start sweating a little at the brow, thinking yet again about that remark about secrets. She CAN'T know, can she? I mean, I've had a lot of girlfriends over the course of my time at high school. I've dated really hot girls...
...nothing to make someone think I'm queer...but here she shows up, mentioning secrets right to me. Me! Why would anyone think I have secrets except for—-for suspecting that! Did she see me at that club? I didn't even french anyone!
"Uhh guys, I'm...uh, I'm just gonna go and like, look at the dorms around here...y'know, check things out."
Stu asked, "But uh, isn't the dorm inspection supposed to happen tomorrow?"
Stefan wanted to punch a wall, but he held back, "I er...just wanna check certain things out, get my drift Stu?"
Stu seemed to think for a moment and then nodded, "Yeah yeah I do..."
And with that Stefan left to go "check out the dorms" / follow those other people out, his interest and suspicions piqued.
Stu just whispered under his breath, "...sonofabitch wants to check out hot college girls..."

“Visiting a friend,” Romy interjected. “Rosie, this is Stefan, Stu, Rick, Darryl, and Allen. They’re local boys.”
A blush had rapidly started spreading across Rosemary’s face when Stefan spoke to her. By now, it covered her neck up to the tips of her ears. But her breathing was regular, so Romy knew she was just mildly uncomfortable and not on the verge of a meltdown.
“Boys, this is Rosemary. And since we’re done, we’re going to be going, but we’ll see you around.”
The last few words were yelped as Rosemary unexpectedly pulled Romy away, practically dragging her down the hall and to the elevator.
“What did you find?” Romy asked.
“Not much,” Rosemary said. “But he said they went down the street, into a place with lots of old houses.”
Romy tapped her chin thoughtfully. “So somewhere near the crash. An old neighborhood.”
“Probably. Let’s get back to the dorm and look it up.”
