True, it's definitely not clear whether or not Sukuna thinks he can beat Gojo. Apparently, though, all ancient sorcerers and curses are well aware of how powerful having both the Limitless technique and the Six Eyes makes you (Kenjaku's been trying to take people like Gojo out for centuries). It's also not about raw power. Okkotsu has more raw cursed energy than Gojo, but still concedes that there's no way he could win in a fight, since Infinity beats pretty much anything. You'd think Sukuna would be aware of these things.

This is also true, but I don't think "potential" on its own is the main reason Sukuna is interested in Fushiguro. Sukuna respects lots of powerful people, but he doesn't hesitate to kill them in any other situation.

There is no war in Ba Sing Se.this chapter was literally just maki and naoya flexing on each other
Also some details on how Projection Sorcery actually works, I guess
Bewitching EyesEdit: I'm a moron.

Rodimus: Self-sacrifice, Magnus— It's cheap. It's a cheap way out. I need to live so I can make amends.we already know he respects toji, that was one of the first things we learned about him
Bewitching EyesOh... I honestly forgot. I am an idiot.
Rodimus: Self-sacrifice, Magnus— It's cheap. It's a cheap way out. I need to live so I can make amends.IIRC one of the first things he says to his uncles is that Toji was better than all of them
Bewitching EyesRandom crack theory. Sukuna is said to be the "King of Curses", and Was Once a Man. He sees in Megumi the potential to become just like him, another King of Curses, and as such sees him as a suitable challenge, and wants to see him grow stronger so he can finally have a good fight, and should he actually lose, unleash an even greater threat than he ever was, a superior King of Curses.

This seems plausible — Sukuna's already seen Megumi's giant overpowered shikigami, so presumably, that's not what he's after.
The first part seems valid, but I don't think Sukuna really cares about raising a successor. He cares about having fun, not necessarily causing chaos. If spreading evil and chaos no matter the cost was his priority, he probably wouldn't have killed Jougo for asking him to team up.
I read some interview where the creator of the series said Itadori's enemies' fake memories of him aren't related to a technique. Do you think Choso recognized him as a brother because they're both children of Kenjaku? Yuji's mom's forehead stitches would support the idea.
There is no war in Ba Sing Se.If it doesn't happen to anyone else, I think we could just chalk that up to Todo being Todo.

He is also interested in Megumi for his potential as well. Thus his past “What a waste of talent”.
There’s bound to be more there too, because the flashback to his past even intentionally parallels a number of things Sukuna does. Like the shit eating grin when he decides to no longer hold back or the pile of delinquents he sat upon that mirrors Sukunas throne of corpses.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.
