....when you say Oliver and Roy....I know we're talking Green Arrow and Speedy / Red Arrow, but are we also talking about the two versions we've become familiar with?
One Strip! One Strip! This show is 100% a different continuity from the Flarrowverse. I think Crisis on Infinite Earths confirmed that/showed this show's number, and even then this JSA and Stargirl is definitely not the same one that showed up in Legends season 2.
Also this episode might have the most bombshells of any episode. Count them, there's the Seven Soldiers of Victory, Courtney's mom finally getting in the know, and most importantly Brainwave Sr waking up (and he knows Courtney's secret ID!
My AO3The fact that they very obviously avoid having anyone refer to comics-style GA and Speedy by name, to avoid confusion is very funny.
It should be interesting when this show inevitably crosses over with the other CW shows at some point. Not only will we get the "wait, I thought Earth 2 didn't exist any more" stuff from the Earth Prime characters, but also having Pat know very well the equivalents of some of the Prime characters. Even the alternate universe characters in previous Arrowverse series rarely knew dopplegangers very well.
I know CW Ollie is canonically dead, but I'm just imagining Pat looking at him and going "I teamed up with you and Roy when you two were in tights, drop the tough act"
My AO3In any case, I'm glad the "keep the fact that Courtney is nearly getting herself killed in a reckless and poorly thought out crusade a secret from her mother, while Pat lacks the assertiveness to go above the head of a teenage girl and actually talk to his wife and son" plotline is over, because hot damn that was starting to get annoying.
I don't always mind The Masquerade and such, but I do when it starts to make the characters feel like jerks.

Odds that Ito will turn on his team at the last second and go full uber evil instead of just Well-Intentioned Extremist?

That this episode establishes Ito only works with the IJA rather than being one of them does lend itself to the idea. We don’t know what his stake in all of this is, and it’s unlikely he actually cares about America the same way Icicle does, yet he’s the one actually creating the superweapon.
Amusingly, Icicle seems to have the same Evil Plan Lena did in Supergirl this year.
I actually noticed that we don't actually see what Courtney's mom is told, we just see Pat saying they have to tell her, then she comes down into the basement and sees the staff. Then it cuts away and we assume they tell her about things. I mean, yes, the obvious reason is that's probably because it's things we, the audience, already know so we don't need ot hear it again. But it could potentially hide the extent of exactly what she knows now.
This includes whether/how much she now knows about the ISA and Court's activities against them, and Courtney's friends being in on this. Oh, and kinda relevant for her, but it still rests on suspicions they haven't yet verified, that Courtney thinks her boss is Icicle.
They're almost certainly going to just continue the rest of the scene immediately in the next episode.
I kinda got that impression too. Almost more when she showed in her thoughts that he'd hurt her — because she had cared about him and trusted him. At least that was the part I noticed and thought maybe I saw him perk up in recognition.
Don't know if it's enough, and I'm not sure my radar has been great, but hey.
Courtney said 'beneath the pain is love' or something to that effect. And Yolanda's thoughts were of pain, but Henry heard the fact that part of the reason Yolanda was so hurt because she loved him and he betrayed her
I don't know man. When that many rocks fall, somebody ends up dead.
God speed Henry. You figured out who you were when it mattered most.
One Strip! One Strip!I am not fully convinced Brainwave Senior really killed his wife because of Dragon King's restoration machine not having a lot of details to it. I think it is plausible that Brainwave was fed that lie to make him more willing to kill his son. The IJA is a team of people that aren't quite happy with america and people as evidence by Icicle and Brainwave Senior.
Also Barbara might have to re fall in love with Pat now that she knows some of the truth.
I feel like re: Pat and Barbara that it will go much more smoothly once Pat can explain things. Courtney really didn't do anyone favors, especially when she started on about her dad being Starman.
My AO3Dayum, Henry. We hardly knew ye. It certainly looks like a very quick case of Redemption Equals Death, but I hope not and that he somehow did survive.
It also looks like with the email Courtney's mom sent/received, either Starman's actually still alive and hasn't told anybody for (reasons) or he's not actually Courtney's dad. Seems like we could be getting confirmation one way or another soon, yes?

so thats an interesting bombshell to drop
Not only does the golden age version of the seven soldiers of victory exist in this show. Earths 2s Oliver and Roy appear to be members!
" I did the right thing, didn't I? It all worked out in the end." "In the end? Nothing ends, Adrian. Nothing ever ends."
