True. Pat is right, if she doesn't think before leaping in (with everyone else in the baby JSA), she's going to get people killed. We'll see if she listens now.
Anybody want to make odds on Cindy doing a Heel–Face Turn? I'm giving it at least an outside chance. But I don't know the comics.
Given how strongly the episode centered around "Cindy looks like she might have sympathetic motives, but then it turns out she doesn't really," I don't think she'll be getting a face turn any time soon. My guess is she's going to be our primary "hip young antagonist the same age as the heroes" character, at least until Icicle Jr. happens like a season from now.
The rest of the JSA this season is probably going to be Artemis, Shining Knight, Brainwave Jr. and maybe Jakeem Thunder (given how much attention they've been giving the Thunderbolt).

Shining Knight will be a great help. I wonder why he wasn't with the rest of the team. Then again, Pat never mentioned him as part of the line-up, so maybe he's not officially a member...or maybe Pat thought he got taken out well before the JSA's Total Party Wipe.
One Strip! One Strip!I also thought the opening scene where Courtney unwittingly makes the whole training session about her and her desire to push forward an interesting character point, especially because even if Yolanda, Beth, and Rick were so insistent that they can handle the danger they seem a smidge more smart about it.
Cindy has more depth, and very much parallels Courtney, but I don't think it'll be a Heel–Face Turn. I'd give Artemis and Cameron 50/50 of landing on the hero side, not sure about the rest of the villain kids.
My AO3
Admittedly, it was a far better plan that Rick's idea of just going after Cindy. Does she know who the other heroes are?
True, but it's the difference between Going after superheroes fully armed and Going after who you think is a civilian before they claw your eyes out or throw you into a car
So....what's our vote on the attempt to recruit Brainwave Jr. or whatever he's gonna call himself? I figure the fact that Courtney and Pat are directly responsible for his dad being in the hospital (in addition to Courtney blowing up his car before) is gonna work against them at some point.
One Strip! One Strip!
It's going to work. At least, it should in the short term.

Brainwave junior is an asshole as amply demonstrated by his treatment of Yolanda, heck, his every action, and he has been handed a powerset just utterly ripe for abuse (And the first thing he actively did with it was cheat on a test!). I am not super optimistic he will land on the side of the angels.
I mean, you can use mind powers for good, but it really does require a very solid code, and well. No.

[Okay, finally streamed this week's ep so I can come back into the thread...]
Well, apparently Pat kinda got through to someone. For a second or two. Or should I say, something? Seriously, though. The staff listened to Pat. And decided it was worth the risk when Courtney said the others were in danger. The staff can listen, why can't anybody else? [lol]
I've been meaning to watch this show. Would you guys recommend it?
Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup thread

Hope this finally cuts Courtney down to size.
She really need to drop the Leeroy Jenkins attitude.
