Personally, I find TR 8 R Trooper more badass than the entirety of Snoke's guards combined.

"Johnson, Kaplan, Mark Hamill, and Christie implied the possibility that Phasma might have survived her duel with Finn and could return in Star Wars: Episode IX, with Johnson jokingly adding
that "Phasma is the Kenny from South Park of this series" (specifically that she survived by landing on a pile of trash).
However, more recently, Christie has begun to worry
about not being able to explore Phasma's backstory in the ninth installment given the strong possibility that Phasma will not return. The casting list
for Episode IX release on July 27, 2018 doesn't report Christie as returning."

The Protomen enhanced my life. It's not so much that the movies forget to put in cool stuff from the supplementary material, it's that the material makes up things that aren't seen in the movies.
Phasma is about as cool as Boba Fett in the movies, in that her coolness basically boils down to her armor. But still... that's some cool armor!
Call me when Phasma blows up the Sarlacc.
Still, I know it doesn’t count.

Wasn't it said that everything is canon, so Phasma's feats in supplementary material still stand?
The Protomen enhanced my life. They've been, inconsistent with that. They said that it was all canon at first, but have walked that back/qualified it since then. And supposedly Rian Johnson had pretty much total freedom to do what he wanted with TLJ. For example, Holdo feels like pretty much a totally different character there than she did in the Leia novel.
So I guess, who the heck knows anymore.
Let's see what Phasma did.
The Force Awakens - Get caught by intruders, bring down the shield of the Starkiller Base, and get dumped into a dumpster like a chump.
In between - Murders a First Order officer to remove the witness for her sabotage.
The Last Jedi - Fails a simple task of execution, and get dumped again, this time into fire, like a chump.
She's a Dirty Coward who also happens to be incompetent as hell. At least Bobba Fett actually did something beneficial to the Empire.

To be fair, getting shot at point blank range, or having the gun pointed at her under her helmet could plausibly still kill her.
So, this interesting Reddit theory about the next film just came in and looks pretty interesting.
The only good fanboy, is a redeemed fanboy.I have a feeling that we're going to end up with a repeat behind the scenes drama behind the Legacy of the Force series where one writer wanted the story to go one way and another had other ideas.
You're going to pay a price for every bloody thing you do and everything you don't do. You don't get to choose to not pay a price.I just noticed this entry on Nice Job Fixing It, Villain!.
"If Tarkin had waited possibly even just a few hours to order Alderaan's destruction, Luke, Han, Obi-Wan, the droids, and the all-important Death Star plans would have been on the planet, Leia would eventually have been executed, and the movie and the Rebellion would have ended right there."
I never realized that before XD
The Protomen enhanced my life.

"but the guy did totally outwit and kill Snoke (a far stronger Force user than him) and many of his bodyguards."
Kinda? that only happen because Snoke though Kylo will endure is crap one many time too much and he was fixed with Rey at the moment.
And consider that him as Supreme leader is "FIND THEM AND CRUSH THEM, CRUSH THEM, CRUSH THEM!" is......let than amusing.
