Not that I'm bitter over not getting to make this thread or anything, or biased against talking about movie leaks, but I'm thinking that making a thread called "Episode IX" this early to discuss some early leaks is both terrible and misleading.
It should be called "Episode IX Leak and Rumor Thread" or "Star Wars Episode IX Leaky Faucet Thread Where We Discuss Rumors an" you know, before the character limit runs out. Note there are Avengers and Star Wars leak threads, in addition to several others. That seems common courtesy.
Also, given the volatile nature of Star Wars discussion here, I think this should be closed until there's something tangible to discuss so it doesn't devolve into "this leak is stupid" and "if this leak is true then I'm f'cking done with Star Wars."

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!To be fair, time travel was confirmed to be a thing in Rebels recently.
That said, fans are probably just theorizing time travel because they want the movie to be a Fix Fic for stuff they didn’t like, which would be a waste.

What kind of time travel, though? Is it the kind where you can mess around and mess things up or the kind where you can only observe or any attempts to change stuff don't work?
The Protomen enhanced my life. The problem with that reddit leak is that it's proposing that episode ix isn't really any kind of finale. Which is kind of directly at odds with everything we know about Disney's plans for the franchise? I know Solo's failure has them rethinking things, but I don't think that's happened quickly or drastically enough for ep 9 not to be a conclusion
That Reddit leak sounds completely ridiculous. The time travel one is more believable based on Rebels.

This song needs more love. No, the plan was one trilogy from a specific person, and a bunch of anthologies from other directors.
And consider the Johnson trilogy apparently doesn't even have an outline yet, and Episode IX still hasn't set the broader universe for others to draw from.
They got an idea of what they want out of the franchise, but no real plan.
Not really a 'minor', TLJ's reception kept away general audiences. Most fans never wanted to touch the thing for many reasons and the troubled production only added on to that.
Also Solo's streaming might not get the chance, its likely to be a launch title for Disney's own streaming service and not actually make it onto Netflix.
Can we, like, not be negative and get yet another Star Wars thread shut down again?
Anyway, I'm both excited and extremely nervous regarding Episode IX. I really do wonder how J.J Abrams is going to stick the landing. I mean, people are going to hate it either way, but at the very least, it would be nice for this to be the best of the 3 movies.
According to Viper Magnum 357, "we see someone reach into the past and pull a person into the present in order to save their life, from what appears to be a foregone conclusion for their death. It seems to be possible to change things, at least in certain places. "

Made this in anticipation for the next film. New information, screenshots, trailers and potential leaks and rumors will be posted for discussion.
Also, whatever you guys do, don\'t let this thread get blocked as well.
Starting off, there\'s the apparent rumor of Luke being brought back to life...via time travel.

That sounds like the most immature thought in \"solving\" the character.
Also, there\'s this Reddit thread from a leaker who also leaked some details of Episode VIII and turned out to be accurate.
