Toxic working environments can turn even the nicest human beings into monsters, and they often do not realize how bad they acted until they 'detox' for a time. I am not inclined to believe that Rose is at fault here and these claims are anything but a smokescreen, but even if she did act poorly the working environment can take at least part of the blame.

As for the new episode, I love that they aren't suddenly trying to make Alice outright heroic. What she did to that little girl was so in-character.
Also, Montoya seems more like a Junior-Version of Amanda Waller.

and Camrus Johnson
dispute Ruby's claims and say she was fired due to complaints.
Okay, so maybe both sides were very, very wrong?
Because CBR had a production assistant for season 1 tell a massive horror story about dealing with Ruby.
I mean, getting a neck injury is serious, but it doesn't excuse being a complete witch on set.
Reading about what goes on behind the scenes of most productions makes me intensely uncomfortable. Not only the voyeurish nature of it, but after seeing all of those cheery "here's how we made Batwoman videos" with the cast only to later find all of this out "my god."
This isn't as bad as Allison Mack from Smallville but it's close.
Ruby now apparently releasing e-mails and text messages
to validate her allegations

The plot thickens. Camrus Johnson's (Luke Fox's) Twitter account.
Also
what the actual hell with this sort of working environment!?

Next time anyone complains about Black Lightning or Nubia's names being too on the nose for modern times, I'll just point out this character as an example of what a white writer thought was an acceptable name for a black woman in 2006.
Is it weird that... despite falling off of this show, and despite all of the controversy, I've been buying episodes on Youtube and getting invested in the show.
I can't tell if it's because Javicia Leslie is hot, or if Alice's character has won me over. It's the only Arrowverse show I can actually digest right now.
A LESSON FROM PROFESSOR PYG.
- Montoya is gay for Poison Ivy. I cannot blame her.
- So this episode deals with Ryan and Sophie going on their first official "date" and having a sit down with Jada, finally.
- Things go awry when Batman villain Professor Pyg shows up to get revenge on Jada for firing him long ago.
- Marquis is getting more interesting - possibility we're going to have a black Joker in this series, a la Batman Beyond Joker. It turns out Jada knew about this and has been giving Ryan the cold shoulder to keep her safe... by destroying her livelihood.
- Batman's presence is still felt despite this Earth's Batman being inactive/missing for years. Did they ever go back to that? We met Evil Bruce Wayne in Crisis, but he was still in Gotham.
- Alice is genuinely my favorite part of the show now despite being my least liked character in the first season. What is happening.
- So Pyg is pretty easily disarmed/stunned. Amazing nobody thought to break his neck or his legs when he was downed.
- Mary and Luke are still having drama about what Alice said to Mary about being expendable. Mary also seems to be turning into a Poison Ivy-expy. Itchy skin, infection from one of Ivy's plants, curious amount of botanical knowledge.

I'm pretty sure Marquis was involved in the same bus that was hijacked by the Joker, which resulted in Kate's family tragedy. I think this will ultimately cause Ryan to have some humanity towards Alice, now that she has a brother who's now a sociopath through no fault of his own though in his case, it was due to injury.
Maybe because they had all been drugged with a paralytic and their first instinct was getting away. Breaking his neck or legs might have been an option under better circumstances but even attempting to do that could have left them vulnerable.

I mean, Alice has gradually just become Harley Quinn and almost everyone loves Harley Quinn. Even people who hate Harley Quinn love Harley Quinn. She's like pizza or the horizontal batusi. Even when she's bad, she's good.

Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters.Harley is the the "fourth pillar" of DC's comics, after the famous 'Trinity' of #Batman, #Superman, and #Wonder Woman.
So I guess alice to will take that role for the arrowverse.
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."I want to give them that benefit of the doubt, but Ryan in that same instance was able to coordinate the others to escape, make it up the stairs to find Marquis's dead girlfriend, stabbed Pyg in the leg, and also grabbed an object and clubbed him with it. She even managed to sneak downstairs.
Breaking his legs or neck was totally an option. I don't think the paralytic was affecting Ryan as much as it was everyone else.
This is Scream movie logic people. Do more than just run. If you knock the killer off his feet because he's wearing a ridiculous costume with terrible visibility, you have the upper hand. Don't keep running away! Take that sucker out! Kick him in the throat. Do something! The dude is going to kill you!
She's the Kathryn Hahn of the CW verse.
I'm not sure how they're going to carry out this Joker-like story arc though. Marquis doesn't strike me as the "legitimate threat to Batwoman" type.

The comments on that article are not a good way of verifying things one way or the other unless there's solid evidence.
