Haven't read the manga myself, but the Anime sold me on the premise.
Despite the fact that the main character is pretty much a pedophile, the only one who sees it as a good thing is Satou herself, and as evidenced by the ending shot, The fact that she kidnapped her love interest is a massive warning sign that there is something off.
On the other hand her roasting of the Resturaunt owner (albeit hypocritically) was fucking great, and Kana Hanazawa's acting is great.
Watch SymphogearShe's actually seeming low setting Yahn-der...
Surprising no one.

I've yet to find the show where KanaHana isn't doing a great job.
Yeah, this show looks really good. Considering the wanted posters at the end]], this should pick up a plot sometime soon, and that's all that's left, really. If it keeps up the pace, this will turn out to be one of the strongest in the season.
Also, the OP is very interesting.

I binged the manga myself after watching the first episode.
Holy shit, Sato's aunt makes Sato herself seem normal in comparison.
Watch SymphogearHm. This episode was a little bit more unfocused than the first one, but I get the feeling it was more about setup for stuff in the future than about what actually happened in it. It was decent.
So that's the teacher, the blonde guy, the friend and the brown-haired girl, all of whom seem like potential future issues. And on top of that, Shio has some kind of mental thing, where she just curls up in a ball and her head hurts. Fun times.
And the show is doing a good job of making Shio cute without her being annoying. I could absolutely live with those segments of Shio taking care of the house being a Once per Episode thing.
Cute child wants to be useful...
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Wow, this episode was unsettling, geez. I figured it would take longer for Shio to leave the apartment in some capacity, but we've just jumped straight into it. And now I'm not sure who to root for... no one here seems to be in their right mind anymore. I mostly just pity Shio, though. Kid is going through some messed-up head problems.
Wonder what happened to her mom, though. Was it Satou? Was it something else?
But more importantly: how many pieces are those two guys beating up Mitsuboshi going to end up in when Satou catches up?
Those random street folk are in their right mind
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.I wonder what Satou's long-term plan is, here. If she even has one. I mean, as she grows, Shio would eventually start asking questions, wouldn't she?
Anyhow, episode 4. This series is getting some good suspense. So Shio's mother is/was not exactly a nice person. Got it. And now Shio is hiding secrets. Her character is being really well done, it has to be said. She's not just a cute mcguffin for Satou, and she doesn't cross into annoying at any point. That's some decent writing right there.
Also, the two guys from last episode kinda lost their eyes there. In hindsight, they probably should have doubted the shady girl in the wearing a hoodie in the darkness a bit more. Oh well. They just have to keep a watchful eye in the future.

Ep 5:
You know you're a God tier Yandere when you can make another Yandere piss herself in fear.

All of the people in this show...
On today's episode of Mentally Stable People...
It's basically an episode about Shouko, really, so what started as a joke eventually became reality as the episode mainly focused on the one person who doesn't have some kind of mental issue. Oh well.
As it is, the episode seems to be mostly setup. We get a bit more of backstory on the Koube family, particularly Shio's brother, and then we explore Shouko a bit, on what I'm fairly certain is going to lead her to her death at some point or another. She's too good to live. There's also something going on with the teacher, who's trying to get blackmail material on Satou and thinks she murdered her aunt. Things should pick up a bit next episode.
Why did they even try with the finger thing? It's one of many "nopes" that randomness just can't deal with.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. He just went through some stuff...mostly physical.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Episode 8! It's... an interesting one. Sort of. The first half has a very interesting method of telling how Satou got the apartment she lives in with Shio right now, but ultimately the story resorts to the same "no one in this world is a functioning, mentally stable human" thing, which weakens the whole thing a bit. The second part is just a continuation of last week, with Shouko and the brother on one side, and Satou and Mitsuboshi on the other. It's a lot of setup for very little of actual interest.
It's a bit of a weak episode, even if the presentation is nice.

I figured this could use a thread since the anime started airing today.
Please be cautious and tag any manga spoilers outside the spoiler tags, apparently the manga is ending right as the anime is starting.
So we want to be careful for the sake of anyone only watching the anime.
