What the fuck... that has to be one of the most surreal things I've ever seen a whole page being made for. It looks like it's either the best kind of awful or the worst kind of awful. I kinda wanna see it now.
It'd be interesting to see what people who know what they are doing and have a budget can do with those.
Wake me up at your own risk.I grew up on Tir Na Nog, but that Beverly Hills show looks like a really cheap backyard film.
Tir Na Nog has a budget, and IIRC they filmed on location in Ireland, which cost a pretty penny.
The other one had No Budget and from what I remember, was something of a parody of toku tropes with a lot of episodes about how stupid toku tropes were, just very poorly executed.

There's also GARO for Toku Deconstructions as well.
Watch SymphogearSSSS.Gridman is just a good show. We have plenty of room in this world for more than one good show. We could do worse than more Gridman.
@Beatman: Their other option for adaptation was Andro Meros. Their initial bid was for Ultraman.

Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireno, amemiya originally wanted to do an ultraman anime, but tsuburaya declines. They offer him gridman or andro melos. He choses gridman. It's pretty much common knowledge at this point
That's what I said.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireI was more referring to their follow up now that Gridman was a success. Tsuburaya turned down the Ultraman pitch because of the Netflix Ultraman show but it all worked out in the end.
Funny story, the rumor goes that Tattooed Teenage Alien Fighters from Beverly Hills was supposed to be an Andro Melos adaptation, but Tsuburaya, which has always been more protective of their properties than their competitors, said no (Ultraman was a cult hit on syndicated TV and TNT was airing Ultraseven at the time). So with no money, but a lot of frustration at tokusatsu and Tsuburaya in particular, they made their No Budget Take That! towards toku.
Hell, when it comes to Other Toku, the various Kamen Rider's often have a hard time getting the Power Rangers treatment because they are often far too dark to really air on Amercian television for kids here. Kamen Rider Dragon Knight was a lighter Kamen Rider Ryuki, and even then, some parent groups felt it was too dark for kids.

Watch Symphogear@Beatman: No, the guy lending Gridman his strength didn't die in the OG series, they won and Gridman flew back to his Hyper Agent world through our skyline.
Add: Hahahaha, Trigger could go nuts and get the licensing to make a Redman anime, only he's basically the psycho indiscriminate kaiju killer of meme infamy, and the finale would be Redman getting arrested for his crimes by the Ultramen.

The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!Poor Dragon Knight.
Fucking screwed over by The CW.
Sad thing too, it was a good show that did it’s own thing with the source material.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Dunno, Fourze was kind of a perfect match for an american adaptation without much change. Or maybe Drive.

Wake me up at your own risk.Would love it if Futo Tantei got an anime. Will definitely got a late night slot, with all the gore that often rivals Amazons and nudity and whatnot
Oh yea, I remember Dragon Knight. Shit went too soon.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does. There’s an official Redman comic that runs with him being a serial killer. It’s apparently pretty good.
No one answered my question- did the show ever clarify Yuta and Rikka's pre first episode conversation? I honestly can't remember
I absolutely cannot help but adore handsome 2D boysNice to see the SSSS designs hold up well for real toku suits.
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls! To answer your question, no. They didn't reveal what the conversation was.
That . . . is very unexpected. It is still cool though.

New Version Of DX Full Powered Gridman Initial Fighter Version Announced
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests. It felt like a dropped plot point honestly. After the big reveal of Yuta being essentially Gridman's avatar it was a bit moot, but still annoying that that subplot never got resolution. Maybe it got in the way of the Rikka/Akane Les Yay? Which is weird because the former may or may not be a projection of the subconscious of the latter, or something.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.It's rather jarring because Yutta's interest in Rikka over Akane is what allowed Gridman to possess him. I'm not even sure if Yutta even remembers his experience as Gridman.
Honestly, it just felt they didn't plan it out well. They wanted to focus on Rikka and Akane's relationship but also implied something between Yutta and Rikka and neither dynamic really got that much focus in the end.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Youthful Beautiful sounds great as Eurobeat, lol
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!SSSS.GRIDMAN Promotes Cyber Security Month in Japan
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.
They didn’t know they were getting renewed, and to be fair, that was essentially the original Gridman’s ending, not something made up.
Fanservice sells, but it was clear the people behind SSSS.Gridman loved toku and its tropes. I’m happy they’re doing more.
Besides, what other toku would Trigger do? Tattooed Teenage Alien Fighters from Beverly Hills? Does the world really want a Trigger version of The Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nóg?
