Just a Face and a Caption: This Means Warpaint

Branching out of this Tribal Facepaint thread.

In short, the current is just Mel Gibson's painted face. It's misleading and ambiguous, could be confused for the aforementioned sister-trope.

There were three suggestions: [1], [2] and [3]◊, which show that the facepaint owners are soldiers/warriors, as the trope implies.

There was also a suggestion to combine the third pic with either of the first two, since the trope covers not only tribal warpaint, but more modern kinds of camouflage as well.

I could get behind combining one of the Braveheart pics with the Arnie pic.

As mentioned before, since the two variation of the trope are quite different, a montage of tribal and navy warpaint is my preference.

Didn't include 1.2, figured a close-up would be more effective.

I prefer the Braveheart/Arnie take, the other character kinda looks like she’s in a costume.

Too close to being JAFAAC. The fact that Wallace's weapon is cropped off is my main issue with the current, as well.

I prefer the first take, where the Celts' weapons are more evident.

So 8, then?
