We've just pushed a large overhaul public. Please report complaints, comments and concerns here. When reporting bugs, please make sure you include which browser(s) and platform(s) you have encountered the issue with.
Answers to Frequently Asked Questions
- Why did we do this? This update has been in development for over a year. It replaces a vast amount of messy code on the back-end, gives us a new modernized design, updates us to https, and creates a platform that we can more easily build on for future updates.
- Can we go back to the old design? This isn't happening. We'll make the new one work.
- Why are there so many bugs? As with any major overhaul, some problems will occur. The developers are working full-time on fixing stuff.

Alright, let's see what's been changed since I was gone.
Folders are now staying open, which is awesome! And I love how the spoilers option is back on the sidebar.
Problems though, still being logged out when I close my browser and I still can't change my icon. Also, no idea if this was mentioned before, but for some reason any trope links in spoilers are a lighter blue than other trope links. It might just be me, but it's a bit unsettling. But at least we're getting fixes.
I was visiting DARLING in the FRANXX's main and YMMV pages and I noticed that both were locked as well. Do you have an ETA for when both pages (and other inadvertently locked pages) will be unlocked?
It's been mentioned before, but getting the "Preview" feature on the editing page functional again would be very nice. If you click the button nothing happens. I'm using a desktop Windows 10 Firefox setup.
The Mansion of EPlease don't actually cut Trope Launch Pad on the Cut List, I've just put it there to check if it's true that cut reasons aren't displayed to tropers or moderators.
And speaking of Trope Launch Pad, it should be a special redirect to https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/tlp_activity.php
, similar to many other special redirects (like Ask The Tropers to https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/query.php?type=att)
(I'm using a 2017 laptop with Windows 10 as the operating system and the current version of Microsoft Edge as the browser, but I don't think this is an issue exclusive to this device)

Currently mostly inactive. An incremental game I tested: https://galaxy.click/play/176 (Gods of Incremental)I'm on Safari/iOS. I can now log in on it, but the site keeps logging me out (every time I leave the site and come back, but one time, not even that needed to happen). This doesn't happen on Chrome/Mac OS. Also, on both, "Show Spoilers" won't stay on like it used to.

Join the Five-Man Band cleanup project!Let's see... I've had to log in again on every computer I visit the site on (a minor annoyance, to be sure), reset my preferences on each computer (a bigger annoyance), and it's particularly inconvenient when my edits won't save because of the aforementioned HTML issue (even though I'm not adding any HTML). Oh, and one page I canceled an edit on (since I didn't want to hold it while looking up relevant info to ensure content accuracy) ended up staying locked for the better part of an hour (and then when I did get to edit it again, the HTML error came up).
And I just don't care much for the new look. That could change once the formatting problems get resolved, but for now, in the words of Mr. Horse, "No sir, I don't like it!"

RE unwanted page locks: Just put a request in the Locked Pages thread
.
On the main forum page, the FAQ subforum doesn't seem to have the same bold formatting as the rest of the subforums do when there's a new post.
Personally I don't think I like the page numbers below threads on the subforum pages since the numbers take up a line of otherwise unused space, plus the numbers aren't useful when the thread link takes you to where you last left off anyway.
The new layout for Related has made cleaning out misused tropes a breeze. I've zapped many misuses of Dude, Not Funny!, but they remain on the Related. Same for other Related. Related Main / DudeNotFunny
continues to list 2471 wicks despite my removing many, does anyone else get that number or is it just me?
Previously, adding [=
I might have brought this up before, but I think this is new information I hope helps.
on mobile, if you open a folder to read the tropes in it, they get cut off and you can't read all of them.
I was trying to read the tropes for Coco (that disney film) and i opened the folder on the page for tropes a-f, but it cut off somewhere in the Es. I had to get the desktop version up to be able to read the rest of them in the folder.
I feel like this update may have been inadequately tested!
I don't have any bugs to report that haven't already been reported, but the old Night Vision was my preferred look for the site, and the new Night Vision hurts my eyes. I think it's the blue.
The same guy as all those other Andrusis. Except that one.Related isn't updating. On new pages it still registers 0 wicks. I just made a couple of links to Mawkish Mistake, and the Related page is still at zero.
Someone just sent me a warning about indexing the new trope I launched (Mawkish Mistake) but as I explained in my previous post, I can't do that due to the glitch that is happening with the Indexes right now. Still using Edge. Did they recently fix this or was the person just unaware that this is happening?

Are edit locked . Is there a place to report those because I don't think they were locked on purpose
