We've just pushed a large overhaul public. Please report complaints, comments and concerns here. When reporting bugs, please make sure you include which browser(s) and platform(s) you have encountered the issue with.
Answers to Frequently Asked Questions
- Why did we do this? This update has been in development for over a year. It replaces a vast amount of messy code on the back-end, gives us a new modernized design, updates us to https, and creates a platform that we can more easily build on for future updates.
- Can we go back to the old design? This isn't happening. We'll make the new one work.
- Why are there so many bugs? As with any major overhaul, some problems will occur. The developers are working full-time on fixing stuff.

If any Admins and Mods see this post, then take the time to please read and consider. I think I've already said this to another Mod and I don't know if she responded or spread the word among the other Mods and Admins, so I'll probably repeat it here. It would be better to dispel peoples concerns by giving us in depth progress reports and not just saying "we working on it" in some way or form. Remember Mighty No. 9? Communication between backers and developers(not to mention with in the development itself) was borderline nonexistent. The result: An at best okay game and at worst unpolished Megaman knockoff. It would help reduce complaints if you gave tropers more in depth progress reports and accurate guesstimates of when you believe you can get the problem resolved. Also, what new functions was this overhaul supposed to come with anyway?
There was a thread listing the updates, but I can't seem to find it.
This is just plain dumb. But I sat through several issues on Fanfiction, and I can sit through this! I really would like the old style back, though. Maybe you could include it as a slider?

Said it before and i'll say it again. The lack of communication has been shocking. They have taken the Youtube/Facebook route to business and that is just unacceptable. Either they don't want to speak to us, which is insulting, or they are embarrassed - which is understandable and something that I can forgive provided that they start to get over that embarrassment soon and speak to us. They may be the owners, but we are the wielders of the wiki magic that built it.

Who thought of this dumb redesign? I want to know!
Also, I
with ssjSega and thatsnumberwang.
@thatsnumberwang: difference is that even if Youtube suddenly springs a new design on you, it's rather easy to say that you do not want to use the new one and immediately go back to the old one. With maybe a pop-up appearing once when you choose to go back to the old, asking you for feedback on why you don't want to use the new design.

If they were talking about the 2.0 thread, you could search the forums for "2.0". If not, I'm not sure which one they mean.
drew, I just noticed that when I edit to add arrows in forum posts, after adding one it sends you to the end of your text when before it sent you to the start. Obviously this is an inconvenience if you want to add more than one arrow. Is this intentional?

OH MY GOD; MY PARENTS ARE GARDENIIIIINNNNGGGGG!!!!!- Also working on a list of what was changed initiallyworking on
I'm using Chrome Version 67.0.3396.87 on Windows 10. Funny.Team Four Star Nuzlocke Playthroughs has an edit lock in place, and the content in each folder gets cut off at a certain point.
Catch me where? See my profile!I also noted the preview button isn't working yet.
Also, guys, be a bit more patient. It was a bumpy rollout, and it will take some time to work everything out. Already logins seem to be fixed, as well as editing and page locks, so there is definitely progress.
And thanks to the mods for providing a patch notes.
Hope shines brightest in the darkest times@drewski: Does that include the "remember me" feature of logins failing to function?

There was invisible beta going for (supposedly) months that didn't pick up blatantly obvious issues and you are saying people should just be patient?
How about not releasing something that is clearly broken and untested? Unless TV Tropes is now run by Friend Computer, ofc.

TV Tropes - They Changed It, Now It Sucks!Well, clearly the beta testing was insufficient, but now they are live testing, and fixing bugs as they go along.
If the bugs persist for several more weeks, THEN its time to get out the pitch forks. But giving them a week to fix things is not all that unreasonable. Its easy to say: fix it NOW, but it DOES take time.
Hope shines brightest in the darkest timesOK, it seems like most of the issues reported after my last megapost are already on the lists. I'll make another bug collection tomorrow unless one of my colleagues prefers to do it.
Re arrows: I don't think that was deliberate, but multiple arrows get confusing quickly.
