We've just pushed a large overhaul public. Please report complaints, comments and concerns here. When reporting bugs, please make sure you include which browser(s) and platform(s) you have encountered the issue with.
Answers to Frequently Asked Questions
- Why did we do this? This update has been in development for over a year. It replaces a vast amount of messy code on the back-end, gives us a new modernized design, updates us to https, and creates a platform that we can more easily build on for future updates.
- Can we go back to the old design? This isn't happening. We'll make the new one work.
- Why are there so many bugs? As with any major overhaul, some problems will occur. The developers are working full-time on fixing stuff.

I'd be up for a petition to get the old layout back (if that's even a possibility). There was absolutely no reason to change things and it's doing more harm than good.

In the year 202X, all is devastation... Soon, any last shred of hope had by the saintliest optimist shall die and decay. Also, new forum search! I kinda like how you can search posts containing a certain word now... but would be nice if they showed in chronological order or had an option to, in general more options than just restricting it to "search by forum" Also "search post by user" (at least for yourself) would be nice

My favorite failed console tbhReserving judgment for how good/bad this overhaul is for now, but I have noticed a few issues.
- A few pages seem to be locked. For example, the Fire Emblem Heroes YMMV page is locked even though it wasn't before.
- No option to remove spoiler covering. Not a big deal, but it was a quality of life option.
- Cannot view my profile like I could before by clicking my profile icon in the top right. The menu extends past the screen. I tried zooming in and out, but that didn't do anything.
- Significant slow down on some recap pages. Page was stopped almost like it was freezing.
- On forum parts, you have to scroll down to find the option to move to another page. Not a big deal, but another quality of life change.
I'd fully like to join the 'old layout back, please' train - if anything, the current layout looks like an actual step down in quality. A significant one.
- Furthermore, editing is a pain: on those pages I CAN edit, editing is lagging (and it's definitely a problem with the page, not browser or computer or connection, I checked), and there are a number of pages that are randomly locked.
- Other pages allow access to the editor but don't accept any changes whatsoever, complaining that I'm trying to 'change too much'.
For example, Child of the Storm. The main page, though, is locked, for now reason whatsoever (and I checked the locked pages list), and while I can access the editor for the sub-pages, any changes I attempt to make don't go through and it complains that I'm trying to make too many changes to the page.

Hugging a Vanillite will give you frostbite.I don't hate the new layout but, if given the option, I would return to the old one.
This song needs more love. The spoiler option was in the profile before, too. It wasn't enough, which is why it was added to the sidebar.
Another vote for changing the layout back, even if only temporarily. At this point it's not even about whether you like the new layout or not, it just has too many wiki-breaking bugs to be live.

Writing a post-post apocalypse LitRPG on RR. Also fanfic stuff.I know that complaining follows every change to a long standing site, I remember the last change and the complaining that followed that. But the difference here is whilst that update was huge and fundamental that changed how everyone used the site in multiple ways, this one seems to be little more than a rather confusing series of inconveniences that add nothing. What was the purpose of this update? Why change a design that was working perfectly? I'm actually rather confused.
Assuming we're getting a vote here, throw me in the "change it back" pile too.
Maybe this should have been rolled out as a "beta" or a "try this design and tell us what you think" kind of thing?
Youtube has a tendency of just throwing new designs/feature out too and it's really annoying. Was this supposed to be more efficient? Was the old design causing too many technical issues?

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Wow, without holding words back, I will say it.
The new layout is crap. I tried navigating the pokemon character pages and not only is the font now too small, now the folder indentation looks like my cellphone internal storage folder. The renders clash terribly with the new style while also being small. The spoiler tags look horribly clunky too.
Seriously, where is the going back option? I also can't edit anything.
Such a massive update should have been tested and built up to yeah, instead of being dumped in such a buggy state.
Sure, it could improve, but as said before, the old layout's problematic elements could have been easily fixed with far less changes.

Nautolan picture belongs to Bonesmarinated on twitter

I haven't been able to read through all the posts here but I've been checking different Tear Jerker, Heartwarming, Nightmare Fuel etc. pages and they all seem to be edit locked. Is that a bug?
