I do expect the robots will be fixed one day, and everything will be sorted out. For now though, that ending was suitably sad.

I mean I have no doubt, but unlike with Makarov where he lived for dumb and nonsensical reasons they're, well, robots. So unless they get melted down or their programming is completely destroyed survivong is possible.

Probably... I mean, iirc Mashima is kind of rather infamous with his plot armors

If ya can't handle sadness then stop putting stakes & sacrifices in your story.

@LSBK Pretty much that... Though I never been a fan of downer ending... It would be a bit surprising if Mashima makes this manga a bittersweet one but that's unlikely lelele

New chapter. Guess this makes that old pic of Robo Happy a bit Harsher in Hindsight, but at least he won't be useless now right Rob. Rebecca has a vicious side as well, hope she doesn't lose it.

Dammit Mashima r u a machine!? I feel like just READ the first chapter yesterday! Eh maybe I should go by my overall opinion of his work and ditch it.

Rebecca seems cooler than Lucy, but I have doubts he won't fall into the same patterns with her.

EZ Happy has a pretty dark origin though.

And yeah... I agree that Rebecca is a bit cooler than Lucy and has a bit of a vicious side and this Happy being a robot android... Well that was uhhh...Interesting. And yeah, I'm still wondering how Mashima will take this series.

Like I said, lets see if he can keep it up.

He doesn't seem to be pounding the Butt-Monkey button with Rebecca as much as he did with Lucy.

K so.... judging by your comments here, this Happy is NOT the same character as Fairy Tail Happy. Iiiiiiinteresting.

Nice to get more backstory and worldbuilding this chapter. Looking forward to learning about Elcy's connection with Shiki next chapter and seeing what her fighting style is like.

Elcy Crimson is definitely deliberate like how Jellal was deliberate.

As long as Jellal doesn't show up because their romance was dumb.

It'd be funny if she died in the next chapter.

Elcy that is. I mean, after all the overhyping Erza got, it'd be a surprise (an admittedly mean spirited one) if she got killed off instantly.

Oh so that’s how she defends herself in her travels.

Okay so she is a streamer though aside from dressing up like a cat we don’t know what she does exactly.

Man Elcy is so Erza hurts. I mean sure we throw shade at Shiki’s & Becca’s looks but they have enough minor touches to not look like a complete copy & paste. Seriously Mashima ya couldn’t give Elcy freckles or something?

Like I said it seems to be entirely deliberate given the fact she has a similar name too.

Of course it's deliberate, that doesn't make it less eyerolly. But I have a better impression of Rebecca and Happy than I did of Lucy and...Happy, for right now at least.

It helps that he's letting Rebecca do more than panic, get kidnapped, or be pointless fan service...

...for now at least. We'll see if he can keep it up.
