The unsubtle rape-y imagery at the end was unneeded but otherwise it was a great chapter. But yeah, refer to my original post, jesus christ Hermit's backstory.

Come to think of it, yeah Ziggy did shelter her.

To say nothing of the fact that during the entirety of her research, nothing clued her in. Did she (or that other robot) not look at the plans for this thing even once.

You know, I always go back and forth on Humans Are the Real Monsters in anime and fiction. Sometimes it's barely a shock and makes complete sense, and other times it feels like it's just poorly done.

The only thing keeping me from thinking what happened was unrealistic is that real life has shown me (especially in these last few years) that there ARE people that cruel and short sighted.

Two chapters this week, no chapter next week. First chapter out. Rather weak resolution to Hermit's serious bloody issues. I get that they were in a pickle there, but you could have the counter hacking be the start of the healing.

I'm so glad those scientists got shot to hell and arrested too. They deserved it.

But yeah, that was lightning quick. I guess it can't be helped. I didn't really mind myself, though that's a pretty Mashima thing to do.

Chapter 42 out too. Pino wants to be human, Homura wants to find her teacher, Ms Spy's still after Joe, bowlcut's after Elsie, there's a rubber girl and Spider really overestimates his importance to Joe it seems.

So, Joe's space station seems to be named after a character from Fate Grand Order, Beryl Gut. Wonder if Mashima is a fan?

I believe he did a shout out to UBW way back during the Grand Magic games when Gray beat that Memory Magic dude.

A lot of characters remind me of the Fate series, so I wouldn't be surprised.

The scientist in Hermit's flashback was so cartoonishly evil that it is hard to take seriously, but now that we're past it I'm looking forward to more chapters.

Hermit and Pino are like, the sweetest, cutest things ever.

Shiki's new attire is some killer shit to the point I question why it wasn't used to start. Homura gets something I never thought we'd ever see: A playboy bunny suit mixed with a kimono. Rebecca is a french maid cat girl (because of course she is), Weisz is a pimp. Witch and Sister are a naughty witch and a naughty nun. Hermit is a school girl. Pino is a mascot character. Happy is a viking.

Edit Additional thought: Even Shiki is drooling over Witch. We get her face reveal this chapter. Shiki's reaction is justified.
