Project X Universe: Interest Check

Here We Go Again!!

Well, what is this now? This is a roleplay based off of the Namco × Capcom universe, which includes Super Robot Wars and Project X Zone. What does this mean? Characters from Namco, Sega, Capcom, SRW, and Fire Emblem (And maybe more, more on that later) have been brought together by mysterious forces of EVIL! So, as you do, the good guys team with the good guys and the bad guys team with the bad!

Except, it's a tad more complicated than that, isn't it?

The organization Ouma has a mysterious new leader, and they have booted Saya (Who is Back from the Dead, again) from her position, which has her understandably miffed. And, of course, once again, they are trying to crash universes together at high speeds so they can rule them all. There are also other organizations who have made their alliances with Ouma, such as Shadowloo, and maybe even others...

There are more fighters amassing than ever before, the old and the new. This will be a battle on a grander scale than ever seen before! This, is for the fate of Project X Universe!

So now that we have that out of the way, how would this work?

First off, I would need someone to help me run the "sheets" per se. By that, I mean I want a helping hand in creating two character sheets: One for the different units, and one that keeps track of the map currently in play. Yes, we are using a map system, and yes, it will be awesome. But in order to make it awesome, I will need help.

Now, on to units. You can sign up as two different kinds of units: A Pair Unit, which has you playing as two characters, or a Solo Unit, which has you, well, flying solo with only one character. Groups on the map usually are teams of three: One Pair Unit and one Solo Unit, and there are about 9 to 10 Groups at a time at maximum. Don't worry, I will fill in any Groups that aren't taken up by P Cs.

Now comes the fun part.

How far-reaching is the world?: There are five options to choose from.

1: Restricted Establishment: Characters are chosen for whether or not they are generally compatible with the overall tone of the series as well as a set guideline, and can only be from universes already established in the franchise.

2: Freeform Establishment: All characters are accepted as long as they fit basic parameters, and they can only be from universes already established in the franchise.

3: Balance: Characters are judged with just a loose of standards as 2, and they can be from any established universe from the companies, as well as guest fighters from other franchises that have been in at least one game from a universe already established in the franchise. These can also include fanon A Us of the franchises, within reason.

4: Restricted Freeform: Characters are judged a bit more harshly, and they have to keep the tone of the story for the most part, but the roster can include any character from any franchise, and any universe, OU or otherwise.

5: True Freeform: While you still have to fill out a sheet and meet (relatively low) quality standards, there is only one rule when it comes to which character to pick: There are no rules. ^note  Well, there are TV Tropes guidelines and such, but you get what I mean.

I am interested, and am willing to help create character sheets.

I vote for option #5 because:

• I'm not confident that my writing skills are good enough to properly write a canon character without horribly mangling their personality and actions, therefore I will have to use one of my OCs
• I have been wanting to participate in a sandbox RP that allows both OCs and canon chars for quite a while now (because I think the interactions would be interesting)

Right, about OCs: They'll appear in 2 or above, which may or may not make 1 obsolete.

I remember doing this a long time ago twice before it went kaput.

For my opinion, I'm a mix of two and three.

Having been on a Xenoblade Chronicles 2 kick recently, you have my interest.

And for the record I'd vote option 3.

Would like to add that SRW is a part of Bandai Namco, considering that Yeager was suppose to show up in the Px Z series.

So, I've got a mockup of some characters I'm thinking of including. An asterisk indicates characters that were originally Rival Units.

Sure, you've got my interest. And the third option's fine with me, yup.

What about characters/settings from upcoming games like Soul Calibur VI since the series as a whole is represented already? Are those fair game or not?

Also, since I have Geese, Noctis, and Cloud, what are the opinions on Gon, Geralt, Yoda, Vader, Starkiller, Spawn, Ezio, and Snake for other "Guest characters"?

I am all thumbs up for those chars joining. The more the merrier!

I'd limit those guest characters slowly though (at least the ones from non-BN/Capcom/Sega properties). It'll be a turn off to those who've played or heard about the Px Z series.

Alright. Nice to know.

And well, people might wanna go their own direction and pick something else anyway, guests or not, but the option's nice.

I probably would suggest OCs to be relevant only if they can link it with Shinra and/or Reiji and Xiaomu in a way.
