So, out of curiosity, how do you think Donald would react if he knew the others shot the Money Bin with a magic laser?

With much angrish, I'm sure.

Also, I assume the bin has been fixed, since the mansion was also fixed after Feldrake was defeated.

With a resounding meh. Depending on the continuity they pull from he might even think it's hilarious.

He definitely laughs at Scrooge's misery in the comics, so...

And then he helps him out, mind you. But yes, Donald has precious little sympathy over the richest duck in the world losing money.

Its not very tragic, though: Scrooge usually has loads of money outside of the bin, and can probably make it all back within a few hours anyways.

Except when the stuff in the Money Bin is the "important triumphs" money. But yeah, you are right. Donald wouldn't care as long as Scrooge doesn't try to get even (that Mc Duck temper).

And if push comes to shove the Cabs have access to treasure and now the money of a wealthy institute. Unless this timeline's Scrooge is downright evil its not like this is going south.

i did once read a story (I TL 1353-A), where after not eating for two days, Scrooge happily goes to mooch food of his nephew, and then makes Donald pay him when he accidentally burns what they were going to have for lunch which forced them to have sandwiches instead. (Italian Scrooge at his best.)

But this was just a gag cameo, I wouldn't read to much into it.

Actually, I would totally expect the comics Scrooge to demand a cut of the treasure in return for the damage they did to the Bin. He probably owns the land the Institute is built on, or something.

I mean, in Rosa, he practically OWNS the entire city. Not just the land, but companies, banks, factories, homes, everything. There's that one shot where someone looks out a window and all you see is Mc Duck branded companies.

[up] Their House isn't in Duckburg though.

And really making blanket statements about comics Scrooge is tough, because of the sheer amount of Depending on the Writer there is. Italian Scrooge probably would, but Barks' Scrooge (not Rosa's) is more debatable.

I'd like to suggest a theme song change for Season 2, how's this sound?

My name is Donald Duck
And I am proud to be
In my ancestor's town
With my new family
There's old friends and new friends and even a bear
Through good times and bad times
Its true love we share
And so I found a place
Where everyone here knows
My happy duck-billed face
This is The Three Caballeros!

Yeah, another problem I notice with this show is that it seems to be mainly Donald's show. I don't see all that much character or background from Jose or Panchito. I mean, I think I know Jose's character, but only because I've known Jose from the Dutch comics, and I don't really know much about Panchito aside from his movie debut, which may as well be Canon Discontinuity by now.

[up][up]... I can't tell you how shocked I am from how well that works.

[up]Maybe they spent the second season to develop the other two more, which would bring more opportunities to cover some Latin and Spanish culture.

I guess I'll put this here.

I found a classic Donald Short with the Aracuan Bird!

I swear, the Aracuan is a Loony Toons character that somehow ended up in a disney cartoon.

Aside from that cartoon, and Legends Of The Three Caballeros, has he appeared in anything else?

I know he had a few appearance on House of Mouse.

There was an episode based around him as well, I think.

He also makes very occasional cameos in the Mexico City part of the Gran Fiesta Tour Dark Ride, in Epcot. Usually Donald will say, "Oh boy! It's beatiful!, but occasionally he'll say "Oh boy! It's magnificent!" instead, and when he turns, Ari can be seen at the top of his hat.

Apparently José and Panchito are going to appear in the second season of Ducktales.

I wonder if they'll keep the same voice actors for them.

Panchito will have appeared in no less than 3 new animation productions this year, and yet not one of them share the same voice actor.

I really love the Aracuan bird in this show... for the first half. For some reason, in the second half of the show, Ari's gibberish stopped being to his tune, and his reality-bending antics were toned way down.

[up][up] Would that be Three Caballeros, Mickey Mouse, and Roadster Racers?

[up]x4 Panchito has always had a Mexican Voice Actor, I'm pretty sure, but I bet they'll finally get someone who's actually Portuguese to voice José. He hasn't had one since José Oliveira voiced him in Salutos Amigos and The Three Caballeros, so that would be awesome.

Yes. And he's going to appear in Ducktales 2017.

Also, Rob Paulsen voiced Panchito in House Of Mouse, and he most definitely is not Mexican.

[up] Rob Paulson voiced José, and Carlos Alazraqui voiced Panchito. They also reprised their roles on Roadster Racers (which actually looks surprisingly decent).
