Opened.
Even in that context, I think it's heartwarming that Steven cares about them enough to put his own pride aside for their sake. Bittersweet yes, so I don't doubt that there might be better candidates for an image, but if this one stayed I'd be fine with that.
It's okay to bump these, right?

Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢It looks sufficiently heartwarming, so I don't think there's a need to replace it without alternate suggestions.
(Word of advice to OP — when making threads for work subpages, it's good to have alternate suggestions handy since chances are the people who frequent the forum haven't seen it and might not be able to adequately weigh in. For me, who is only familiar with the work in passing, it looks like a heartwarming hug, so pending another obviously heartwarming suggestion I vote Keep Until Better Image Suggested.)

Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢Clock's up; locking for inactivity/lack of consensus.
Not entirely sure if this is the right classification, so if it isn't, please tell me.
In context, the image is actually kinda sad; after learning that his first mission was a test (that he kinda failed) Steven demands another test to make up for it. The Gems oblige... But Steven realizes that it's rigged so he can't fail. He's understandably furious, but before he can chew the Gems out over it, he overhears them talking about doing it to boost his confidence, and their lack of confidence on their ability to raise him... So Steven pretends he doesn't know to boost their confidence, while his own confidence hasn't gotten any better. Rebecca Sugar and Ian Jones-Quartey even talk about how this moment is when Steven becomes a bit of a Stepford Smiler to keep the Gems from worrying about him in the podcast.
