So, through my love for Tree of Palme, I discovered Fantastic Children. It is RELATIVELY old, out-of-print in the US, and somewhat difficult to obtain in its entirety. So, I acquired it through....... other means. After watching 7 episodes (sub), I am obligated to spread the word. You must give this anime a chance. By that I mean you don't have to watch it, but you must try at least 10 minutes. If it is up your alley, like it is with me, you will be eternally grateful for giving it a chance.

It is true then? Anime fans are only interested in the new hotness, and nothing else.

[up] And whats better is that it was animated by one of my childhood anime studios... Nippon Animation. That would make me put on my watchlist and try to tell my thoughts on it.

And the art director is the same man who did Peter Pan No Boken.

I don't think that version of Peter Pan deserves its own thread (now), but might as well mention that the entire season 2, which was a COMPLETELY original invention of the japanese, is something I find So Cool Its Awesome.

Saw it when it aired. 'twas good. Can't remember anything about it, though, other than the fact that it had great music. Still have the OST lying around somewhere. Might have to give it a listen.

Soundtracks to obscure japanese cartoons (animu) are super hard to find. It took me a year to find both volumes of Shamanic Princess OSTs.

This fan trailer was made a couple years ago, but if you never saw it, it's a must.

Got to episode 17. Don't think I have seen many (if any) non-anime animation with story as sophisticated and unpredictable as this.

Almost done with the show. I did not expect a plot twist. I thought I was smart, I thought I saw it coming. I did not see it coming.

Reviving this thread:

Btw, I just saw Episode 1 and 2.

Hmmm... The story is rather confusing yet intriguing at the same time. The children with white hair seems rather mysterious. And oof, in Episode 1, one of them lost their memories but there is one of them who ended up becoming a famous inventor. And yeah, in the First Episode... Feels sad that the one that you searching for died alone though. And also, although the main focus is still them, the main character of this anime is Tohma, who lives in an unknown island in Southeast Asia and he's a rather optimistic and cheerful character which is cool. And then we have another character named Helga. Who is aloof but also mysterious and she escaped from the orphanage along with a kid that I didn't know his name. This happens in Episode 2 too when they tried to run away with train. Overall, the episode while takes time to build up the story, I'm still invested.

Episode 3:

Now I know why Helga wants to escape the Orphanage and I feel bad for her. Also, now we met the insane person that almost crashing with Tohma. Meanwhile, a detective named Cooks is trying to investigate the missing children.

Episode 4:

I just wanted to say this before I gave you my thoughts: Basically it's pretty hard when it comes to find this episode as everytime I wanted to watched it, the episode is either not existed or hard to play because it only serves on Openload which is the server that I can't play. So I ended up downloaded it from an obscure site. Anyways, my thoughts:

The episode is rather confusing yet still interesting. So the episode is about the police officer that was led by a mysterious woman named Dr. Gherta that tries to find a runaway in the island. Needless to say, the reason why this episode is a little bit of a mind screw is that I'm rather confused and intrigued who is the ghost that appeared in the episode and why the aforementioned runaway tries to run from Dr. Gherta. Thankfully Dr. Gherta and her team doesn't do any harm though and tries to save the patient. And also, the kids try to escape from the orphanage again and seems that the director has now give up which is nice.

Just wanted to give you my thoughts again. But tbh, the episode that I tried to found was pretty hard and when it comes to watching the videos of the episode, it'll take a pretty long time when it comes to buffering which makes me rather impatient. I'm hoping that I could finish the series by Thursday.

Anyways, Episode 5 and 6: 5 and 6 are connected with each other. Seems that the bees that sting Chito takes a fondness towards Helga to the point that they didn't sting her and rescue Chito easily and it was revealed that the old man in Episode 5 dies 3 days ago in the Police Station...Poor guy. Also, in Episode 6, Tohma and Chito encountered with one of the strange children with white hair and it was revealed that the island that Tohma found had a robot in it. Which is interesting and both the mysterious white-haired child and Tohma have a duel so yeah... Also, in Episode 5, an GED organization member known as Duma ransacked the detective apartment for a research... Yea.

Episode 7: Today we gave you the change of different perspective. And today's perspective is from the scientist who tried to research the mysterious white-haired children and needless to say, he went insane thanks to it. Poor guy. Also, it was interesting to note that the earliest recordings came from Belgium and called the Children of Belfort... Apparently they were accused of being the devil... Huh. Not only the Detective we got the perspective of. But we also got one from the Belfort Children themselves which tries to struggle between choosing the past and reality.

Episode 8: Seems that Helga and Tohma's mother are getting along pretty well. And oof... The last part is a total wham part given the episode is a little bit breather episode. Also, it was revealed that Helga is the target that the white-haired children are looking for which makes sense.

Episode 9: And now there is another prisoner to escape and the episode went a little bit full Akira now [lol]. Still, the story regarding the prisoner and his sister is kind of sad tbh... I feel bad for him that he ended up getting disappeared. Also, now the mystery of the ghosts is partially solved right now. I wonder what on earth Enma is?

Episode 10: The two detective right now investigating Dr. Greta's house and needless to say, they found an amazing discovery. It was revealed that not only Dr. Greta loves Rugen, but in her laboratory, there is also an interesting facility. But at the same time, Dr. Greta is currently shocked after he met one of the guys that he feared and ngl... That guy has a pretty intimidating aura if you ask me.

I'll skip to the end and I just gonna say this:

The anime is great and extremely underrated to the point I want to recommend to some of my friends for now. And goddamn Georca is a scumbag. But even then, I still like the anime for what it is.
