And because this is a separate release and not actually Season 2 like we were promised, everything we've worked to unlock in the previous game is probably not going to carry over to Hitman 2, and everything we can potentially get in Hitman 2 will almost certainly not be backward compatible with Season 1/Patient Zero/Sarajevo Six/the rest of the 2016 Hitman.

Look at it this way. You could have a second season built onto the base game that already exists, or you can have an independent IOI that can partner with a publisher but not be owned completely by them. Not both.
So, I take it the Providence storyline is dead?
Or is it?
I'm confused.
Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters.Probably not, considering the Shadow Client's narrating the trailer.
Welcome to Estalia, gentlemen.it's not dead, according to the synopsis on the Steam page:

Word from the official Discord channel is, your items and unlocks from the first game will carry over to the second.
"I've come to the conclusion that this is a very stupid idea."I am immensely relieved to see that everything unlocked in Season 1 wasn't all for nothing. Still a little disappointed that I can't take stuff unlocked from Miami into, say, Sapienza, but I will happily take this and be hype for Hitman 2.

I am more disappointed in the pricing format.
Death is a companion. We should cherish Death as we cherish Life. The worst thing about this for me is that it gets released while I'm going to be in Japan, so I'll have to wait a few days to get into it. But otherwise I'm pumped for this one. Streaming the Elusive Targets and new missions was what got me interested in recording let's plays for You Tube so Hitman will always have a special place in my heart.
Has there been any word on if the Elusive Targets will return for season 2?
YES! I was so worried this wouldn't continue! I'm hyped!
Improving as an author, one video at a time.Posted this to the YMMV page under “Author's Saving Throw” (and then other tropers have spread the good news from there), but:
All Season 1 content is coming to Hitman 2, and if you already own it, you’ll get it for free in the new game. Rejoice, Hit-fans!

I love the series. So much. But really weird is that I bounced off the latest iteration and I can't fathom why. Maybe I'm now too old - all that choice befuddles me! Or i'm terrified of getting the assassination "wrong"... even though I loved exploring all the ways to go about it.
I think I need to get back to how I used to view the games - as a puzzle box, not a TPS.
That said... Totally picking this up to give it another shot.
I hope they actually bring back foreign accents/languages depending on the country for this one. Everyone having American and British accents in Hitman 2016 was very jarring, especially when the previous games had the characters speak the language of the country they are in or accented English.

They reveiled the first Illusive Target of the game:
I never got the chance to bump off the Gary Busey Elusive Target. Will be interesting to see how this "Celebrity Elusive Target" plays out.

According to the description, Sean Bean's actually playing a character (based on his acting career) instead of playing himself.
And the trailer does imply he might be a more formidable target as well.

Welcome to Estalia, gentlemen.Yeah, I was using "Celebrity Elusive Target" a tad too broadly. Still, will be interesting to see what ways can be used to bump him off. Ideally, a rain of arrows or an executioner's axe should be options.
47 wouldn't go after his favorite Bond villain after Goldfinger.
Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters. All locations are on the website now.
While I doubt it's going to happen, I wish the Elusive Targets of Hitman 2 can be replayed, because who wouldn't want to see how many different ways they can kill Sean Bean?
Heads-up for anyone playing Hitman 2: Mark Faba, the Undying, arrives today.
ARRRG! I want this but haven't even finished Hitman yet. GAH! Not sure I want to just shell out for the chance to fail at killing SEEN BEEEN. Tempting though.
If you own Hitman (2016), you can get all the levels from that game into Hitman 2 for free.
TL;DR/TL;DW: November 13th launch; full-game, non-episodic; PS 4, XBO, PC; post-launch DLC; Co-op sniper assassin mode
