Sojourning to Spica Street

Oh joy, this had turned into a full on debate about ethics. While Fancy Tim appreciated a well thought out argument as much as the next guy, it was clear to him this was a situation where neither side would be able to accept the other's view. And that wasn't to mention how Tim could see both of their points and didn't really want to pick a side.

"It seems fairly fundamental to who Nathrach is, though," the corpse noted. "He does seem to consider being a predator one of his cardinal traits. Not that I put much stock in trait theory, but I digress. Reincarnation just seems pointless for the person getting reincarnated, at least in my eyes. If you can't remember anything before your new life then you might as well be a completely different person. Intelligent beings die with their memories." Thinking about how she was speaking so calmly about this, Ellen seemed kind of odd. He was beginning to become slightly suspicious.

Not that Nathrach was any better, though. Fancy Tim was beginning to think he was standing between two individuals far more long lived than him. "Not really her, then," the undead said, sharing his own thoughts. "Not that there's anything wrong with that, though. I'd say she's dead like she wanted. Nice that this new consciousness is enjoying itself as well." No memories equaled a totally new person. That was his thought process.

All this talk about paradoxes and the like was confusing him. Tim would be glad to get this confusing conversation over and done with before these two started to tear each other apart. Luckily, he could see the corner of Spica Street a fair distance away... and a familiar red headed woman at that corner. Odd of Mary to be standing there, since he hadn't told her he'd be coming by. He briefly wondered why she was just standing there for no reason before deciding it was none of his business. They'd reach the corner in a few minutes and then he'd see if she would tell him.

Ellen Walker - Nearly upon Spice Street

"Well that's nice. I do give you credit for attempting to bring peace to those you unilaterally decide to gruesomely murder and devour to keep fueling your meaningless, circular and predatory existence. I just think you're self deluded in how much of a difference it makes to try and be nice to those who have a right to live in this new world when you selfishly decide to cut their lives short. Thankfully, you're fully aware that you're a monster... abusing your abilities to prey on those weaker and unaware, continuing to indulge in your desires by hiding in the cracks of society away from the gaze of the Creator-God" says Ellen as she keeps dragging her suitcase, her smile only briefly turning into a grin for a second when his gaze hardened before returning to the pleasant, entirely friendly and a bit awkward smile from before "I reiterate my prior suggestion to you, I think all risks considered it is a far better course of action to a better, more productive and meaningful life. You can only do so much harm onto others while staying in the shadows before the day forces you onto the light"

"Still, I've said my part... I hope my words can help even a bit on bringing you to a better path. If you're not going to eat either of us, could I please ask you to slither away to some shady alley?" asks Ellen meekly while waving away gently with one hand "I get the feeling we're not going to reach agreement and worse yet, I think the conversation is getting uncomfortable to the man graciously showing me the way"

"And there is a meaning to reincarnation, Tim. At least, I do believe so, even if the 'reset' is there... there's a part that remains and it is an important one" says Ellen gently, a lot less forcefully than she was with the snake man... to him she presents her words merely as an opinion and belief instead of a judgement as she did to the monster trailing before them.

Following Fancy

The snake sage seemed stunned for a moment, before breaking out into a harsh cackle, doubling over with laughter for a good few seconds before finally sobering, shaking his head amusedly.

“You remind me of an old friend, ye do! Talk about a debate and a half! Sweet mother of- can you taste that passive-aggressiveness, lad?” he asked Tim incredulously, leaning over slightly to him before returning his attention to Ellen and giving her a friendly thump on the back before she could react. “Oh, I get that ye hate me, but I like you. Dear god,” he chuckled, before walking back to Tim so he was next to him.

“Well, the lass doesn't trust me, but it's up to you. I don't mind going off elsewhere if you don't like me company, but erm... is it really a wise decision to negate rare responsibility over a predator of your kind? Or... ex-kind. Whatever term ye fancy.”

He said this with a jovial tone, although the warning was very clear. If the snake was going to go elsewhere, he wasn't exactly going to curl up into a ball and ponder over the validity of his existence because of one certain angel's words. On the other hand, his gaze had suddenly pinned onto Mary in the meantime, and his eyes had gained a glassy sheen to them, studying her as if sizing her up. Which he probably was. Despite this, he leaned down slightly to Tim again, not taking his eyes off of her.

“Is that a friend of yours?”

At the Corner of Spica and Birch

Wow, things had really ramped up fast. For such an unassuming girl, Ellen really had a sharp tongue. Tim considered himself fortunate that harshness wasn't being turned on him. In fact, in order to avoid that, he decided not to comment on that scathing diatribe. "If you mean the soul, I don't think it has much of a bearing on who we are," Fancy Tim replied. "But that's just my own experiences talking. The way you speak... well, you seem to know a lot more than I do about this."

At least Nathrach seemed to be enjoying himself right now. "It's sort off endearing? Maybe?" Tim commented about the passive-aggressiveness of Ellen. "Well, I've heard worse at least. My boss can get very... interesting when dealing with people he doesn't like. Never lets that customer pleasing tone leave his voice while bringing out insecurities you didn't even know you had." Yeah, that was probably the reason he was so calm right now. Sitting outside the office of a man that terrifying for your whole shift could numb you to danger.

Either way, it seemed like it was up to Fancy Tim whether the snake stayed or departed. And, to make the decision more obvious, Nathrach went and added a not so subtle threat. While he didn't really mind the thought of someone eating humans if it was unrelated to him, he was too good-natured to allow it to happen when control was in his hands.

While Tim was thinking about this, though, Nathrach took notice of his friend at the corner. That wasn't ideal. "Her name is Mary, and I'd appreciate it if you didn't eat her," the corpse said completely seriously. Not that he was sure if the snake would actually be able to... well, best not to even think of that. "Anyways, I guess you can stick around for a bit. She'd probably like you."

As he said that, Mary took notice. The redheaded girl's eyes looked over the two "people" following Tim, shrewdly observing. This was only for a brief moment, though. Her face quickly boasted a friendly grin as she waved at Tim.

Ellen Walker - At Spica Street

Ellen made a light frown and pout as she was patted on the back... and then, as the snake man began to say that he liked her, she shifted from her kindly smile to a deadpan, unamused expression... letting out a simple and short "Eww"

Still, now they had reached their destination... Ellen had reached Spica Street and thus Tim had accomplished the feat of guiding her. Moreover, it seems like a friend of Tim was here to greet him... Thus, her presence would be a bit of an imposition even as much as she wanted to be a deterrent to that-which-would-be-better-off-dead.

Turning to Tim, she bows her head and flashes a genuine smile "Thank you for guiding me this far... may the Creator bless you this day for your kindness. I'm getting the feeling that the snake is more talk than bite today... so I'll be taking my leave here. Still here..." she says, reaching into the pocket of her jacket, snipping her hand and producing both a cherry lollipop and a presentation card that read Ellen Walker - Freelance Web Designer - XXX-XXXXXXX with her phone number on it... nice font, pretty colors, very soothing looking "I used my last credits at the company's printing shop getting those made and cut. For your kindness, if you have trouble or just want to talk, give me a call or text. Maybe I'll be able to lend a hand or scold some trouble away" she says with a little chuckle as she hands the two things to him. She then frowns lightly and looks at the snake man "No treats for man eating monsters" she says, sticking her tongue out to him which was colored a bit extra red due to her previous eating of one of those.

With that, she's produce yet another lollipop from her jacket pocket for herself and intends to walk away to look for her new apartment if Tim doesn't stop her or asks for her to stay.

Following Fancy

“Aye, thought as much. Don't worry, I'll keep myself in check, lad,” Nathrach reassured, his predatory stare immediately dissipating and instead being replaced by an equally intense but much less unnerving gaze of curiosity.

Well, as not-unnerving as the unblinking, bulbous pair of reptilian eyes could get.

Catching Mary's studying look and consecutive wide smile at the sight of the undead one, Nathrach pegged her as the observant type, albeit somewhat hidden under a façade. A healthy mindset to have.

He dragged himself out of his own observations by Ellen's announcement of her taking her leave, and he sent her a lazy wave and a slightly crooked grin.

“Can't say the same for you, lass! Don't be surprised if you find a pile of dead rats on your doorstep. Or a bouquet of flowers. Or a bouquet of dead rats. Maybe all three at once, whatever takes yer fancy!” he called out in a joking tone, before shifting his attention back to the redhead.

It was only now that he pegged on to Tim's earlier thoughts of why exactly she was just standing out in the open like that. Perhaps she was waiting for him?

Whatever her reasoning, Nathrach made a note to keep a degree of cautiousness in the back of his mind. Just to be safe.

His neck shuddering, it suddenly dislocated with a sickening crack of gristle, before elongating like it was a serpent itself. Nathrach's tongue flickered out rhythmically as he encircled the woman, studying her, before his neck rapidly retracted back into its correct shape, slumping limply before it cricked into place again.

“Not bad, lad. Not bad at all. Nice to see ye got a taste for attitude. I can see it in her,” he stated seriously, although there was a barely perceptible glimmer of teasing mischief in his eyes while he said it.

In a Private Room in the Linburn University Library - Alexandria

"I'd like to tell a story of a daring escape," Alex laughed weakly, "but it was actually fairly simple. I was in a room with artifacts long forgotten, and the magic used to keep us secure became faded with time as well. The room itself might've been totally forgotten about for all I know; it's been decades since I last saw anyone step foot near me."

Alexandria adjusted her glasses and continued, "Basically I tread where their security magic was weakest or something that was within my old pages and could figure out a workaround... it was actually surprisingly, worryingly easy."

Beat. "...but you didn't hear that from me. As for what brought me here, I... don't know. All I know is it woke me up from a long slumber and called to me from across the ocean. Even now I feel something in me telling me to stay, to settle, to search for... something, I don't know what... Is it something you feel too...?"

"Mr. Streiss! You're putting yourself in a lot of danger!"

Cole walked along as his assistant Linda babbled at him about the dangers of being so close to this location, when there was a battle in progress against a Homicider. Cole wasn't worried, for a number of reasons - for one he was keeping his distance from the engagement between young Matthew and the monster...

Yet it seemed Linda always tried to keep him on the straight and narrow path. Honestly this was kind of why he took risks like this.

Of course his path took him right into the confrontation between Nathrach and the angelic young woman. Cole looked around, first seeing the deadly looking serpentine entity and giving it a curious look, followed by scanning over the other two.

It looked like the angelic girl was no friend of the snake - Cole didn't need to use abilities to know that creature she was talking to was some form of Old Earth creature.

Linda tried to step in front of him, but he cleared his throat - a cue for her not to involve herself.

Cole smirked a little and tilted his trilby hat a bit. Cupping his chin, he observed, "My, quite some animated constituents out and about today..." He looked at each of them, "I'll leave my questions and such until you all finish what you're doing. I don't want to be the stereotype of a rude politician."

Linburn University Library - Leta

Well, whoever ran security at the London office would definitely invoke the ire of the president and senior staff if they worked at the university. Or maybe that was too generous—shit, most of them would probably sniff out their incompetency before they even breathed.

The call, though...

Another one.

Leta's folded hands moved to her mouth, the knuckles turning white. "We've... noted an influx of oldkin, as of late."

She didn't mention how dwarves and elementals from the Hilliard area alone had, more than a month ago, suddenly began leaving their mountain homes in droves through the Hilliard-Linburn rail. Or how all the mass oldkin immigrations were bringing concerns about housing, something which the particularly anti-magic mortals were all too happy to use to reignite tensions in the city. And really, she didn't even wanna think about the rumors about a leviathan now roaming somewhere off the coast.

And then there was the crow creature.

"...I doubt you'll say yes, you just got here, but have you noticed... anything particularly strange in Linburn? I don't mean the... state of the campus right now—" Leta cleared her throat "—just in the city overall."

Dhakar - After-Battle

If you asked Dhakar to tell you what he was doing, he would tell you that he was not fleeing, or running, or even making an about face - this was all a tactical retreat. The car golem body had proven incapable of fully channeling his awesome abilities, and thus it had failed - requiring him to find a new body.

While there were a few in the immediate area he could've made some use out of - there was a strange teenage bodied one that had some promise - he decided to consider his options before pursuing for now.

After all as far as he was concerned, he was incapable of truly losing - he was eternal, and all he needed to do was...was look at what weaknesses his foes had and exploit them next time.

So for now he went to a little hidey hole deep within Linburn...and was surprised to see that the place was occupied.

Dark cloaked men bearing large red staves ending in a blade protruding through a circle gathered around one man in a red and blue accentuated garb. This man was flanked by large, fat cultists carrying odd little trinkets - it was clear the obese cultists were the main man's bodyguards.

Dhakar thundered, "And who might you lot be?"

The head cultist intoned in a slight New England accent, "We are the Sect of the Scarlet Glare, your highness. Though the Mage Union has officially forgotten the benefits of communion with The Dark, we still linger and flourish below ground. Our Patron, Master Azekred, has told us that you would return, and thus we must pave the way."

Dhakar didn't remember any of this being relayed to him in the Realm of the Gods. "Pave the way...?"

The man removed his hood, showing a thin face with a pursed, small lipped smile - the smile was just jovial enough to push his face into a certain cruel look. His blond hair was tied back in a pair of braids, dyed in stripes at certain points. "To the glorious conquest, Lord Dhakar. I am Coryphean Priest Gardner, tis an honor."

Dhakar's smoke-like form moved back a bit, and then the eyes tilted slightly, in enough of a way to affect a smirk. "Very good new, Mr. Gardner...very good news indeed..."

Linburn University Library - Alexandria

"Hmm..." Alexandria pondered for a moment, then shrugged. "None that I've noticed. I haven't been here long enough to know what would be considered strange for this city anyway..."

The witch tome blinked a bit and then remembered something. "Ah. First thing's first though; what about the people outside? I've got a hostility detection spell going and, well, it's like I can feel it radiating through the walls... Think you could sneak me out...? I can transform if that'll make things simpler."

Linburn University Library - Leta

"Right, you... I guess you really wouldn't know then," said Leta when she cast her eyes back to the table. She finally started releasing her hands. "Someone who isn't me can probably explain it better later, but—yes, suffice to say that the Union has a dicey reputation. With almost everyone. It's probably only so open here because—well..."

Leta waved vaguely all around them, shrugging. Then paused.

"...Transform into what, exactly?"

If You Want To Hide a Tree... - Alexandria

At that, Alex smiled and kicked her feet a bit. "Oh, you know, something small, compact, something that wouldn't be out of place here." As she smiled, her skin, her clothes, all of her turned a vanilla white, her body unfolding into countless paper thin layers, springing up from her chair before slinkying onto the table at a single point. like a deck of cards shuffling together. Between the pile of papers and the table formed a sturdy rectangle of green, creeping along the edge and growing upward before abruptly falling down, enclosing all that was "Alexandria Notoriano" into a discreet, novel sized hard cover book. Discreet, except for the gold embossed cover, simply reading Shall We?

Linburn University Library - Leta

...Okay. That just happened.

Leta allowed herself to be proud that she only looked slightly shocked and unnerved by it all before blinking hard.

"I uh... I can see why you, uh, want a job. Here. At a library..."

She stared at the book for a moment. And then another. When she was pretty certain the silence was about to get too awkward, she gingerly put a hand on the cover and pulled it towards her. Taking a hold of the spine with the other, she picked up the sentient book—and stared at it some more.

"...I should probably mention certain faculty will need to know of this. Only if you want a job here though!" Leta frantically added in.

She staunchly ignored how hypocritical she was being.

Caught Between the Pages - Alexandria

I feel like that'd be a bit awkward to explain, Alexandria wrote in her pages in clean, neat "hand"writing. Considering the bit of noise I kicked up... Would you happen to know of any other libraries or bookstores I can go to instead? I feel like even explaining the situation, there would probably still be plenty of tension here after all that.

Linburn University Library - Leta

"We have work that doesn't involve the majority of the student body," Leta said (very glad that book-Alexandria could, in fact, hear and respond). "And if I'm honest..? If you don't want the Union taking you back, this is probably one of the safer options for you.

"...Mm, no, not 'probably,' honestly, it really is your best bet. The reason you, uh, likely got that response is because the usual Union goons don't usually make themselves known here."

Leta shrugged. She stared at the book for a beat. Then her shoulders slumped.

"I guess there are other places though," she sighed out. "Now that the library's probably gonna be closed tomorrow, I was thinking about checking out this small bookstore—Gaunt's Books, down on 6th Street. A good place to start..?"

Jane watched Valerie sit down, trying to look calm. She didn’t want to make the snake-girl uncomfortable, so every so often she would look at the table’s centerpiece, a slightly crinkled folded paper firework display.

Spica Street

"Alright then," Tim said to Ellen as she left. "Stop by Gaunt's Books if you have time, maybe! It's on Sixth Street." He pocketed the card and kept the lollipop in his hand. The fact that she felt so confident in her ability to help him out of danger basically confirmed his suspicions that something was wrong with this girl, but she was nice enough.

To Mary's credit, she didn't react badly at all to Nathrach's disturbing neck stretch into her personal space. Mary just smiled sweetly as the snake man looked her over. The very picture of gentleness, she walked over to the predator after the head retracted and patted one of the larger snakes following him on the head. "I have no idea what you're talking about," Tim responded to Nathrach as she did that. "At least not how you could already tell how much she likes getting a rise out of me."

"Oh come on Fancy~" Mary trilled out cheerfully as her hand moved to one of the poisonous varieties in the mass of snakes. "You always look so alive when I get you flustered!"

"Calling me Fancy and using the word alive to describe me... Really trying hard, aren't you? Not having it today, I've had a hard day after you left," Tim responded, sounding more amused than his words suggested. Without looking like he even thought about it, the lollipop Ellen had given the corpse was thrown to Mary.

Mary caught the thrown candy without even looking and deftly unwrapped it with one hand while continuing to stroke a garden snake with the other. "You've got some nice friends following you, Mister," she told Nathrach happily. "Tim bringing me a pile of my favorite animals was the best gift he could give me~"

"Don't get too comfortable, Mary," Fancy Tim cautioned. "Nathrach is pretty amicable, but he's an admitted predator. Not that I think he'll try anything, but..." It was clear this was more precaution than full blown concern.

"Nonsense!" Mary exclaimed. "He said he likes my attitude! Guess he didn't love that other girl much, though. What was up with her anyways?"

Tim shrugged. "Says she's a programmer," he told Mary. "Going to be living on this street apparently, so I was guiding her. Nathrach was tagging along for some reason. Anyways, you'll probably be seeing Ellen Walker a lot from now on."

Mary's only response to this little tidbit was simply widening her grin. It almost looked predatory.

Cole - Speaking to Constituents at Spica Street

Cole then walked up to Tim as he went along - he would've gone to Nathrach first, but it seemed the other one was a little too given to his need to eat people. He pretended not to notice any odd smells, and promptly gave a confident smile. Time to give that patent Streiss Family charm.

Cole promptly stated to Mary and Tim, "Excuse me - I am currently in the running for Linburn's politics, and I was hoping to get a read on what is important to my constituents. Would you mind telling me what issues are important for you right now and in the immediate future?"

Linda visibly recoiled and only just made herself become restrained, leaning over to Cole and whispering, "That...is a corpse, Cole. What if he starts trying to eat our brains?"

Cole immediately admonished her in a hushed though audible tone, "We don't discriminate against people in my campaign, Linda - living or living dead, their issues matter."

Spica Street

Nathrach echoed Mary's predatory grin with one of his own, the green rattlesnake pushing the garden serpent she was petting out of the way in jealousy, nestling herself under her hand instead. The snake sage chuckled at this, lifting one tail end of the rattlesnake up to better support it.

"Well, that was rude, Aileana. She seems to like you, lass," he observed, looking up at Mary again as the rattlesnake crept closer to her, craning her neck out as if wanting to lick her cheek. "Aye, very much so. I can only think of one other she was like that with..."

Pausing briefly, presumably reminiscing something, he shook his head and raised his arm, the purple reticulated python coiling around it from an impossible source. It slithered around his torso and down his leg onto the ground, looking up at him for instruction (albeit with a slightly impatient expression, or whatever constituted as such on a snake).

"Go on Addison, find something for us," he ordered, only to roll his eyes as the snake sent a meaningful glance to Aileana. "You can see your lady friend later. Now go!" he commanded, prompting the python to reluctantly slither off, disappearing once it turned behind a dustbin.

"Aye, 'nice friends' I have," he muttered with a hint of sarcasm, before twisting his head around at an angle more fitting to that of a barn owl at Cole and Linda's arrival, tongue flickering out to gain their scent.

"You needn't worry about him eating anyone, lass, let's put it that way," he 'reassured', chuckling to himself under his breath.

Linburn University Library - Alexandria

Leta would not be able to see it but Alexandria was pondering her options. After a brief moment, the text on her pages faded away, to be replaced with, I suppose it doesn't have to be either/or; we can explain the situation to the lead librarian, maybe calm some of the staff's concerns that way. But since the library will be temporarily closed regardless, we can check out this Gaunt's Books afterwards too. Could you point out its location? On the opposite page, lines formed, crisscrossing with one another to form a detailed (though incomplete) map of Linburn, based on what Alexandria observed on her drive here and what she gleamed from online maps.

If Mary noticed Cole Streiss, she didn't show it. She simply continued to stroke the heads of various snakes. Fancy Tim was left to respond alone. "I'm not eating anyone," the corpse said, sounding mildly offended. "I appreciate the gesture, but you're wasting your time with me. Don't exactly have a vote, you see." Not for lack of trying, but being a walking corpse with no past didn't make it easy to become a registered voter.

Meanwhile, Tim's friend was positively enthralled with Nathrach's snake entourage. "Aileana... that's a lovely name," Mary said sweetly, giving one final pat to the rattlesnake before getting up from her crouching position. She looked Nathrach right in the eyes before addressing him directly. "Pleasure to meet you, Nathrach! You've heard my name already, but let me introduce myself fully. My name is Mary Sickles!"

Having said that, Mary finally acknowledged Cole's presence. "Yeah, you don't need to worry about Tim at all!" She exclaimed. "He's probably the most harmless person here." She looked over Cole for a moment before her eyes lit up with recognition. Unlike Fancy Tim, she kept herself informed about local politics. "Cole Streiss, is it? Hard to forget that name, with who you share the surname with. I'm familiar with your stance on most of the issues I care about already, so there's not much for me to say on the matter."

Pointedly ignoring the other woman’s skepticism (and paying more attention to her other companion in any case), Valerie began to answer Jane’s question.

“Well, that’sssss the thing about hunting for your food. It ssssucks. Exercccisssse when you’re already hungry. Which issss why I’ve been sssspending all my free time thessse passst couple weeksss looking for a job.” Valerie sighed, her tongue flicking out. “Assss it turnsss out, that’sssss a lot easssier sssaid than done, esssspecially when you’re a ssssnake, you never finished high sssschool, and you have no background to check.”

As Val finished her little rant, her sandwich finally arrived, and she eagerly began eating. Or at least trying to. Her awkward attempt to chew around her fangs mostly resulted in a bunch of ridiculous expressions and swallowing barely chewed food. After a couple bites, the naga was fed up with this.

“Uh, ssssorry about thisss in advanccce. I know it’sssss not exactly the mosssst pleasssant to watch.”

That was all the warning Valerie gave before she suddenly unhinged her jaw and opened her mouth inhumanly wide, proceeding to methodically pull large chunks of her sandwich off and swallow them whole.

Sisyphean Tasks and Talismans

What had Sammy been doing before she had stopped to try and help that customer? She honestly didn’t remember. In which case, it couldn’t possibly have been that important. Which meant it was time for the next thing on her to-do list. Research.

Even after the experiment that cost her her humanity, Sammy hadn’t given up on the Midas Touch. After all, if she cracked the code, history would unquestionably remember her as the great sorceress that she was. With this in mind, she slung her bag over her shoulder and started her walk to her preferred place of study, Linburn University’s Library. After all the only place with a comparable collection of ancient texts was the Mage Union’s own library, which wasn’t open to anyone but the higher-ups.

Well, technically the University’s ancient texts weren’t open to the public either, but they were much less likely to outright kill her if they caught her breaking in.

Outside Fletcher Residence - Zima

Zima's eyes darted between Sieglinde's face and the stab would, lips pinched and gaze wide with vague incredulity. "No offense, but you might as well have said 'It's only a flesh wound.'"

With that, she flicked the hand that wasn't on the grass in the direction of the hole, throwing a light red (possibly pink-ish), cloud-like, translucent beam of magic at it. It wouldn't be enough energy to fix the whole mess, but it would theoretically be enough to at least mend the worst of the damage—preferably any affected organs. Better than nothing, at least.

Linburn University Library - Leta

Leta put the book down, page still open to the sudden map (Jesus, this was a... resourceful book-lady here), and pulled out her mDroid—the map had blank patches in places, and only the major roads like Hawthorn Avenue were named. After the phone activated through thumbprint scan, it opened to the WNDS homepage she had left it on.

Oh. Right.

"I'll, uhh, give you the location," she slowly started, "but, I, uh, really wouldn't go down there anytime today. The road there had a... pileup. A really bad one. Probably can't even go near there for the rest of the day..."

With that out of the way, Leta searched for the bookstore online. A little bit of tracing the map on the paper with the online map as reference, she eventually tapped the correct location on the book. "There, though."
