Goddess Morrighan (God Tree) - Thinking Of The Children With Teacher

"It is funny, none of the children believed me when I told them my true age, but they did believe me when I told them that my words carried the will of a Goddess," the blind child spoke. "Then again, that may be for the better; I am quite enjoying the simple life of a child. But to answer your question: yes, I have lived a very long life. And in that life I have seen a lot... which is what I wished to talk to you about."

She climbed to the root she and the others had been hiding behind and stared at the dragon knight in front of her dead in the... neck... with her almost fully white eyes.

"What you are doing is not wrong; training their bodies and sharpening their minds will no doubt aid them in their first encounters; but neither mind nor body matter without a strong spirit. Many of these children are orphans who are forced to rely on each other for support, and they will find it extremely difficult to guide each other through some of the trials that await them. Claiming lives, watching allies die, injuring and getting injured... they will be exposed to all of this, and without either a strong spirit or someone who can light their path on their darkest hour, they could easily break. What worries me is not whether or not they can survive, but what will happen to those that do."

Yue - Moogle camp

Naga's invitation gave her pause for a moment, the shorter mage blinking in surprise. After a moment's calculation, she was fairly certain that dinner just meant dinner, and she hadn't had much chance to talk shop lately anyway.

"As of... six days ago, my schedule has become decidedly empty." She replied dryly, nodding. "So practical and theoretical magic over dinner sounds quite nice."

Back to the task at hand, Yue lowered her arms and moved in amongst the moogles once friendly relations had been established. She resisted the urge to bend down to listen - that would have annoyed her, if she had been a two-foot rabbit person. The more she looked at these small fluffy people, the more she thought they looked like mascots from some fantasy video game...

"Your city didn't get the briefing?" She asked, cocking her head slightly. "Nascent godhead, fragments of lost worlds, that sort of thing?"

Junko - Hill of Origin

Junko continued to watch and listen to Mac, still largely struggling to understand her quick and strange accent, though gradually picking up words here and there. From what she could tell, the chicken seemed to be wondering about Toriel’s anatomy, and Junko’s eyes seemed to track Mac’s movements as she sketched.

Shortly after, Pink Diamond had arrived, to her slight surprise. To her annoyance, Junko would have to show some restraint while the giant was around even though it was far less boring to just be her normal self.

When she saw the chicken’s drawing, it was in fact hypothetical skeletal structure for Toriel’s leg, which meant this bird knew her stuff. Who knew what else lie in that small brain of hers? Maybe she’d be the one who’d build the next line of Monokumas. Though, what Toriel said about her having powers also interested Junko.

The fashionista also took note as Shigure eyed her. The cat could also talk. Seemed they already knew about the Fire Nation attack, and likely knew that said team had already left. Her eyes turned back to the chicken as it seemed to react with fear. Junko could only imagine the despair the sentient bird would feel if it was roasted or eaten alive, so she would have to make sure no one else decided to have her for dinner instead.

Junko did not have much to say to Cagliostro. She still was interested in how the alchemist had spent the past two weeks, though maybe she could ask it when she was not so busy.

Her eyes also took note of the golden bubble Sandalphon made, though her attention did not stay on it for very long.

It seemed the other mascot character also decided to make a visit. Junko was building quite a reputation around these parts. Though, Mac seemed to be more preoccupied to the fact she was talking to another Scottish bird to pay much attention to his warning, as far as she could glimpse from the chicken’s hurried speech.

Maintaining her current personality despite her urge to use something different, Junko answered Elize’s question. “See that tree towering over the city? Go there, and you will find the school in question. My coworker Dreadnought should still be conducting combat training exercises as we speak. I am sure you will be quite welcome in our classes.

Junko then turned to speak to Mac, “I cannot imagine why Scrooge would be so dismissive, but although your diction could still use some work, you seem quite skilled in the anatomical arts. While I don’t believe my associate is looking for individuals specializing in that department, perhaps there might be a spot open for someone who could teach the sciences. What is clear is that you are in possession of a wonderful talent. One that could shine brilliant hope into this burgeoning new world.

Saying that stupidly lame phrase made her feel like gagging. She also hated staying in this boring teacher personality for so long but she felt like seeing if she could nudge these newbies for just a bit longer without giving any credence to the duck’s claims, though she totally adored the thought of everyone accusing her and flipping their lids just because of a little slip up. For now, Junko just “hoped” she could use Mac’s talent to further her own despair.

Besieged

Gespenst and Lady were moving ahead to clear civilians, which was a good thing - Rico got the sense that the crew he was rolling with didn't do subtle. And he wouldn't be helping, especially since Shirakami asked him to get into the tank and man its... forty-seven millimetre gun. In what world that was considered an acceptable calibre, Rico didn't know, but he clambered into the gun turret as best he could to try and help out.

He took one last look at the world before retreating into the tank. The civilians were running away, seemingly in terror - it was a sight that stung a little, but better they be gone at all rather than get crushed under the tank's treads. A line of soldiers were preparing for a pincer maneuver, and Rico wasn't too worried about them - he was more worried about the siege rhinos in front of the now closing gates.

Noticing the heat beam out of the corner of his vision, Rico ducked into the tank just in time to avoid getting a head full of rock shards before bringing the turret to bear on one of the rhinos, aiming to throw whatever was loaded into the cannon through its head.

"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."

Shirakami's Tank

Inside the tank Rico would quickly figure out one thing, one thing that he probaly already knew from fighting them.... While the tank provided a LOT of protection, the visibility from inside here was absolute ass, he had an array of 6 periscopes modified into the commanders copula, and the gun sight... no windows, no direct line of sight outside... it would not be a good idea to be in here if you were claustrophobic... especially not with more of the internal space that was supposed to be for the other 3 crew members taken up with expanded fuel tanks and living supplies.

The next thing of note, is that unlike modern tanks... or even tanks of western counterparts the "gun" had no power traverse and wasn't even really mounted to the turret in the same way, rather it was slung over the shoulder, moved around manually, and handled a lot like a big rifle... this made it easy to opperate, but was quick to explain why it was only 47mm... any thing bigger would have had nasty recoil, even bolted to the turret.

Lastly, the round that was loaded when he took the shot, was a HEAT around, one that has almost no blast radius, and instead on impact would use its meager explosive charge to propel a jet of molten copper into the target, defeating all but the heaviest of armor, but not really doing terribly much damage except down a straight line from the impact.

That isn't to say that was his only option, on the ready racks on the turret walls there was also regular HE, APHE, and APCR in addition to the HEAT round... each had its own niche and it was only with carefull application of that niche would the tank reach peak effectiveness.

"I ummm, don't supose you managed to get a good look around before you crawled in here", Shirakami asked Rico, "Without access to the commander's position, my sight line is limited to straight ahead of me like I am wearing blinders"

Kaga - To the shore

"According to the gods, this was our purpose.... although to be honest I was beginning do doubt them" Kaga replied to M16 rather curtly, she was obviously leaving some things out but didn't feel too much like discussing them in the middle of combat, but she complied and began to dash to the shore at full speed, along the water. "Do you see a good place to land?"

Kaga's Squadrons

For her aircraft's part, none of them seemed to behave quite like they had been before, instead making a straight line dash and ignoring the incoming fire, even as one by one they were torn out of the sky by shrapmel. Rather, the planes focused singlemindedly on there goal, stoping the firenation from landing any re-enforcments.

Bleeding in there numbers, as they aproached the shore, the torpedo-bombers made runs paralell to deter any landing craft, while the divebombers climvbed, and prepared to unload on any one that worked there way through.

Entry 002 Part 17 (Lune - Fire Nation Capital)

When all of the civilians have left the area, a group of Fire Nation soldiers surrounded us all. On top of that, they even had the gall to fire off an invisible beam right at our faces. I leaped back to avoid the beam heading my way. And I was lucky, too! That beam melted the floor real badly and scattered debris everywhere!

Looks like they're trying to tilt the balance in their favor, but you all know what happens if you try to take on people who have dealt with crowds before. One of our group, a cool girl with nice shades note , brought along a mighty bazooka. She somehow had the strength to make pot shots with it, which is quite impressive in my book.

But Ges was one step ahead of the cool girl. He went with an unorthodox method for taking on the crowd: chucking a cart full of cabbages right at the infantry. Holey moley! I should probably do that if we're forced to fight at the market in the future.

As for me, I leaped towards a crowd of infantry and channeled some of my core's energy into my arms. With all of the food I consumed today, I should have plenty of power to take on the Fire Lord. “Have a taste of this! Psycho Blaster!”

I spun around like a top and attempted to fire as many energy blasts I could into the crowd of infantry. Hopefully, they'll go down soon enough.

Lune's NPCs - Moogle Convoy

Gunther grins as his chips were a big hit among the rabbits. He hands the bag over to the rabbits as they explain their current situation to the group. Luckily, he was prepared for this situation since he pulls out another bag of tortilla chips. As a form of pity, he lobs a bunch of chips Naga's way. Despite this, he keeps the lion's share as he munches on the rest of those crunchy chips.

According to the rabbits, they were hired by the city of Camoa to create a map of the surrounding landscape. All they found in the past two days were forest and valleys. However, the Fire Nation attempted to mug the poor rabbits, but the rabbits easily handled them.

Naga told Milliana that she could be a dancer. A dancer?! That's Malia's role in Lune's shop! If she were to become a dancer, she'd insult Malia's style with her poor technique. Best friends wouldn't insult each other, right?

“T-thanks, but I had something better in m-mind. I was t-thinking of becoming a bishop... Why did I go through t-the trouble of becoming a cleric just to become a dancer? I even went through the trouble of m-making these wings on my outfit resemble Mila's wings.”

Milliana points at her realistic wings, which flap in the wind with a bit of light magic trickery. Milliana sighs as Naga attempted to convince the rabbits and Camoa to hire the group's services in her usual rich bitch manner. Here we go again... Naga also asks the rabbits about the location of Camoa.

The rabbits were quite confused on why the map became so different. To that, Yue asked them about a mysterious god and the fragments of a lost world. With these questions asked to the rabbits, they'll probably come with an answer to both in good enough time.

M16A1 - The Water

"Fuck the gods, our purpose is whatever we goddamned want!" M16 shouted over the waves, before biting down on a magazine so she could reload her weapon.

"And right now that purpose is me getting you somewhere deep in that clusterfuck, and you ramming your ordinance where it hurts these bastards the most! Those cannons are going to tear our assholes apart out here, we need to get inside! Go over that way!"

She pointed her rifle towards the shore, indicating somewhere not too far from where the Hornet had originally landed.

The Broadhead crested a hill, rearing up on its hind legs and kicking out. Tapping its foreleg on the ground as it landed, it pushed off like a rocket with an explosive burst of speed, and started charging it way down the beach, running alongside the water and towards the incoming Foxtopus Carrier.

"Those maps of yours showed they had some sort of lake in there, didn't they!?" she asked, quickly thinking of what to do. "They can't move their ships overland... but we can! If I drag you through the fighting to that lake, can you unload all the holy hell you've got on whatever's in the city!? That should be enough water for you to move around in!"

Yorktown - Also The Water

"Good idea, sis! I can help them! Keep the ship on course and focus on commanding your fighters!" Yorktown said, taking a step back until she was at the railing of the ship, then hopping over it and diving into the water.

She drove hard and fast towards the wreckage, grabbing whoever she could and bringing them back to the ropes, even going so far as to throw them up and away bodily to safety if the Fire Nation's attacks got close.

Wulfrik, Castle

-Having made it down the stairs, Wulfrik is hardly surprised to see Tira there already, presumably her mastery over birds is such that she can order them to carry her or even turn into a flock of the feathery bastards. More surprising is the appearance of another woman wearing about as much clothing as a Naggarond hag arguing with Tira. Her voice is somewhat familiar, while her attire brings the laughing sorceress to mind, and the horrible thought association causes the matter of closing off the portal between the Wastes and the city to take on a new urgency in his mind.-

-Realizing he is still holding the double telescope, he hangs it on a convenient spike before arriving. As he approaches, he overhears the interesting fact that the castle's forces are so limited they cannot afford any losses. Stowing the knowledge away for later use alongside the existence of traitors within the walls, he listens to his men attempt to explain the situation (or two of them do so while the third drools over the woman's arse).-

-Once they finish, Wulfrik shifts his stony gaze on each of his men in turn before speaking.-

What were the orders I gave you before I entered the keep?

Hill of Origin – T-TENURE...?!?

...Wh—...

Mac's eyes slooooooowly widened as she took in what Junko said, brain working at a feverish pace to parse—... did... was... was she really being offered... a TEACHING position...? By a HUMAN...??? what—... how... was this a dream...? She tried to recall what that dashing old drake just finished saying about this Miss Junko, it sounded important... Ach, maybe she could ask him later on... if she could even work up the nerve to get him alone ahaha...

Overstimulated, addled to near-stupor on her own adrenaline and endorphins and dopamine, heart pounding like mad—... Mac just kinda... nodded and made a dopey, clucky sort of chuckle and grinned like someone had given her a pint of her father's famous corn whiskey.

...aye...! ah'd—... likethetverrymich, actu'lly...! ehehahahaaaaaa...

Scrooge - Hill

Scrooge couldn't help but raise an eyebrow in confusion at the sight of the scottish chicken - apparently called Mac- becoming nervous to the point her words were basically comprehensible. One of the other arrival said something about her being impressed by the billionaire duck, but people don't have stroke from being impressed, didn't they? "Are you alright, lass? You need a glass of water or something?"

Then Junko offered the bespectacled bird a job in the Academy, which left Scrooge dubious. While he had no reason to believe Junko was outright malicious and the rest of the staff were trustworthy enough, he couldn't help but be suspicious if she wasn't doing some mean-spirited prank on the naive youngster. He again gave an advice to Mac. "Don't be sure about thisjob until you talk with another faculty member regarding the fine details of the job. Junko has an habit of doing things according to her random whims." By that, he meant that she was an insufferable woman likely faking split personalities to screw with people, but he decided to remain relatively polite.

Wulfrik's men-Castle Courtyard

The three of them glanced at each other, sharing that look one shares right as they realize they are in some shit.

"You wanted us to gather information, but none of these people wanted to talk."

"And you told us not to do anything that can't be reversed, but that's why I challenged him to a fistfight over it, not a duel to the death! It's not my fault some freak got offended over it and tried to kill us both!"

Behind the man, Tira's eyes quietly shifted over to said man as he said that particular "F" word, clearly having heard him even as Ivy continued to lecture her, and clearly now holding a murderous gleam in her eyes.

Wulfrik, Castle

-Wulfrik nods. The fact that neither belligerent was skilled enough to kill the other is a disgrace in and of itself, but that can wait for another day.-

Not your fault? Perhaps.

-Before the man can look relieved, Wulfrik continues.-

But the fact remains that you attacked an... an ally, and for no good reason: we are now working for the lord of this castle. For this, there must be reparation.

From this day forth, the ravens will watch you, Cutter. Find yourself at odds with any of the castle's host, raise a hand to them without cause, get in another brawl... and the bird-woman will deal with you as she pleases.

Toriel (Hill) - CPR: Chicken Panic Reduction

Within the span of what seemed like just a few minutes, Toriel learned that Mac was much more high strung and prone to excitement than she thought, for just the appearance of a proclaimed schoolteacher and another bird monster, a waterfowl with a similar accent to Mac, sent her into quite the tizzy; rightfully concerned for her new acquaintance, Toriel slowly laid a paw upon her shoulder in a comforting gesture.

"Breathe, child, breathe." Looking at the two newcomers in question, Toriel tried to study them without making it too obvious she was staring; the waterfowl seemed to be an alright sort, his gruff nature seeming to contain no malice, but the human schoolteacher, Junko...Toriel couldn't pin her paw on it, but there was something...unsettling about her, as if there was something hidden beneath the surface, something Toriel wasn't sure she'd like. In any case, Toriel realized she ought to at least address the pair, so she gave both of them a courteous nod. "Greetings, sir and madam."

Hill of Origin — sempai noticed me...

Despite Mac's present emotion-addled state, Toriel's soothing, maternal voice managed to get through to her, and the warm, soothing paw on her shoulder kept her steady as she took some deep-ish breaths. Though it was too embarrassing to admit outright, it made her feel like a wee bairn again, blanketed in her mother's weighty down while snuggled up all safe in the nest...

...E-eh...?

She then blinked, the object of her misplaced and homesick affections having apparently noticed her, uh... less than composed state. Achhhhh, horrible, how could she let her composure ebb away so easily, especially in the presence of one of her elder countrymen who really did sound like he was also from Glasgow, lord bless...?

Gluttony - Hill of Beginnings - Didn't get to have take-outs

On top of the brand new world where people from around the multiverse gathers, a lone homunculus stood somewhere around the crowd gathered there, appearing puzzled. Dull as he is, even he knows that he isn't quite where he was supposed to be. So for now, he just tilts his head and looking around left and right at all the others talking among themselves.

... and slightly drooling from his mouth. The more he looks and sniffs at their scent, the more he's trying to decide at who might be the tastiest among the bunch. Ah, now he remembers! He was supposed to go out and have a snack somewhere while waiting for Lust to give him something to do. Except he didn't really get to grab something to eat and now he's feeling peckish. If any of them were to look at Gluttony that had just recently appeared, they would find him staring oddly at them a drool on his face and a slight growling sound coming from his stomach.

Destoroyah, Fire Nation Attack

Destoroyah's rain of destruction was paused as she was pelted by one of the Fire Nation's projectiles, causing her to plummet a bit. She focused her firepower on the cannons this time, giving the artillerymen a nice dose of micro-oxygen.

Pink Diamond, Hill

Pink chuckled at Shigure.

"Well, I have my fair share of experience with swordplay," she said. [[pink:"Should you need someone to spar with, I'm sure I could provide that for you."

She then noticed the new newcomer - a very large bald man. Well, the wide and round kind of large, not large in the sense she was. She could scarcely keep up with all the colorful characters assembled right now.

"Oh, hello there? You sound... oh right, hungry," Pink said as she mentally went over the basic needs of organic lifeforms this chunky individual may need attended to. Something told her that he would want that particular need addressed before even basic questions like 'where am I?' were answered. "Do you need something to eat?"

Even compared to the motormouthed chicken, there was something odd about this one.

Shiggy and Morgy, Hill of Crowds

"A sparring partner works for me." The exorcist chuckled with a nod. "You can never stop getting better. Then it's just a matter of finding a troublemaker or several, and seeing who deals with them more efficiently. Or with more style, if you wish."

Apparently Junko and her fellow instructors had combat classes? Shigure considered the idea briefly, but then decided to abstain from participation. If he were to teach anyone the Rangetsu Style, it would be on his own terms - so whenever he felt like entertaining himself in watching people flounder about, trying to replicate his moves. "Haven't you heard, Miss Mac? The land is called the Frontiers." Morgrim decided to finally correct the flustered chicken before her head tilted towards the newest arrival.

Without a word between them, Shigure was already approaching Gluttony. The last thing they needed was a peckish daemon-esque critter stirring trouble fresh off its arrival. "Hail. You look mighty hungry there, friend, as Pink her said." He greeted him casually with a grin. "Though, if that is all the same to you, kindly refrain from eating anyone here. It's bad form to eat a fellow sentient and all."

Morgrim couldn't help but scoff slightly at the reuse of her words.

Castle Courtyard

The man in question stammered for a moment, clearly shitting himself at the prospect of being left at Tira's mercy.

"I.....I.....yes, boss." Cutter said quietly. The other man who had explained the situation looked away sheepishly, while the third man continued to not even hide the fact that he was still staring at Ivy's ass. Meanwhile, Ivy and Tira's conversation took a turn that Wulfrik might actually find interesting.

"What about a ship?"

Huh? What about it?

"Did you locate any?"

Oh, yes, of course. Let me just pull the giant ship I brought with me out of my ASS! Maybe you should have come, it might have fit in yours!

"Be quiet! I explained to you already, if we have any intention of going anywhere other then this portal and what is beyond it, we need transportation. That means we need a ship. If we can acquire one from this Gotham, and find its position on the planet relative to ours, we can send a force to steal it, and bring it back here."

Stupid.....you don't get it! These fucking ships, they're gigantic! Larger then any fucking thing I've ever seen! And they don't use sails, they use "Engines" and "Oil" and "Diesel", whatever the fuck those are! We'd need the entire castle force just to fully man one of these fucking things, probably, and no one's going to fucking know how to steer it! If you want a fucking ship that badly, then get off your fat ass, go into the forest, chop down some trees, and build one yourself!

"Do I look like a shipwright to you, girl? I don't know how to build a ship from scratch."

Reiko, Disguise Time in the Fire Nation Capital
It still took a moment, but Reiko had caught on to the elder Vessel's unique brevity over these few weeks. "Disguising you two as captives, then?" she looked to the Vessel, and then back at the ground. "Our next step is obvious. Find someone with the right outfit for us."

This was another short sprint away, as the path leading them to the palace brought them right into good fortune. With that red tower looming closely overhead, Reiko skidded to a halt suddenly and without warning. Then, she backed up a couple of paces, and silently looked down the alleyway.

There were a group of Fire Nation soldiers, armed with long spears and curved swords, barely lit by the red sun at the other end of it. With an older man, his crest grander than the other standing at the forefront of the group, it would seem that they were en route to the rest of the battle.

"The invaders!" The older soldier raised his sword threateningly, and the men behind him drew theirs out. This was, unfortunately, as far as their leader thought this out. Even if they had the advantage, as only a whole two of their enemies had swords on them, they were still about two short man wise.

That, and the giant masked beast and its child were...intimidating, perhaps. Like the legends of spirits his mother had told him...

His sword wavered in the air. "You lot, take a knee and drop all that you're carrying! We're taking you in as prisoners of war!"

Reiko pointed her barrel at the leader, but hesitated the moment before she pulled her trigger. "...They'd question bullet holes."

She flipped the gun around in her hand, grabbing it by the forestock and wielding it like a baseball bat. "Don't damage the armor," she quietly said, staring harshly at their unwilling uniform donors. "Make it quick."

"Jesus fucking... are you serious, PSG?" M16A1 grumbled.

Her three extra bodies came to a stop alongside Reiko, and while she gave the sniper an incredulous glance, one of them reached under her shirt and pulled out a shiny cylindrical object.

"Just... look away or something," she said to Reiko and Company™ as the dummy threw the flashbang betwixt the soldiers.... "And we need to get you a fucking crowbar."

She shuddered at the thought of just going to bat and grand slamming it up with quite possibly the only modern sniper rifle in a hundred miles.

Chun-Li, Dojo

"You came to the right place then," Chun-Li nodded to Aile, punching her hand in her fist. "And you also have the right mindset for martial arts, since they should never be used for killing."

Chun-Li frowned and looked depressed about the Commander of the Fire Nation that she had a hand in killing, albeit unintentionally, "There should be some spare gis in the closet. Go change into one and we can get your training started."

Juri, Forest

"Well, I feel we should tell you this," Juri looked over at the others before turning to look at the Moogles and pointing her thumb back towards where they came from. "If you head down the way we came, you'll pretty quickly hit our city, Akihabara."

"Akihabara was basically abandoned when we were brought here almost a month ago, but we've supplemented it with villagers fleeing the Fire Nation as well as others who came seeking refuge." Juri explained to the Moogles, pointing to the tied-up Fire Nation soldiers when mentioning their nation. "Now, we know it's a two day walk between Akihabara and Camoa."

"But that thing is one of the Fire Nation's vehicles..." Juri told all the others there, smirking as she looked at the armored vehicle seized from the Fire Nation. "That thing should be able to go faster... much faster than just walking."

Reiko and the Flashbang, Fire Nation Invasion
What else was Reiko supposed to do? Start going into hand-to-hand combat unarmed against armored people with weapons? Sure, she probably could do it, but she wouldn't if she could afford to. Reiko shook her head in disappointment, before turning around.

"I won't pay for that crowbar. It's a waste of money."

If the two Vessels wouldn't pick up on their cue and look away, they might feel Reiko lightly tugging on their horns to get them in the right direction.

The flashbang landed at the soldier's feet, and with some experience with the occasional firepot or other archaic explosive they all knew to get away, following the lead of their commander as he pushed them all back in fear.

What they didn't know was not to look at the thing.

With a flash brighter than the sun and an incredible booming noise that immediately deafened everyone in the area with how loud it was, friend and foe.

Even the people looking away from it might have felt a bright blur at the edge of their vision, but the group was probably better off than the Fire Nation squad. They were all groping at the ground or trying to remove their helmets, completely blinded for right now.

Reiko said something, but no one was able to hear it.

Capital (Lost Vessel, Pure Vessel, Reiko, M16A1, O'Connell) ~ Showtime

Posing as a prisoner hadn't been the first thing on the Lost Vessel's mind, perhaps for the sheer lack of prisons it had seen across its wanderings, but upon seeing its sibling's suggestion it nodded in agreement. After all, it would be much easier to pass as a prisoner than pass as a human.

Of course, that still left getting the human members of this group disguises. For better or worse, it didn't take them long to stumble upon a small group of the enemy's warriors. Even before their notice turned to them, the Lost Vessel had readied its nail. It had hoped to get in a sneak attack, as subversion seemed to be the goal of this mission, but alas they were noticed too early.

It nodded in response to Reiko's order to not damage their armor, then prepared to lunge forwards...only to stop itself when one of the duplicates pulled out a canister of some description and advised the rest to look away. Although it wasn't sure what exactly the device did, it heeded the warning.

The second the flash past it turned back towards the enemy. Not being able to hear a thing might have posed a problem, but their targets weren't even in any position to fight back. Without any further hesitation, the Lost Vessel dashed towards one of the warriors who was still standing. Mid-dash it readied a slash with its nail, and once it was within range it slashed at the warrior's exposed throat.

The warrior went down with a sickening gurgle. That was odd; even a weak husk was able to take more punishment that that. Perhaps it had merely struck a vulnerable spot. Then again, it didn't look like humans had a shell. Without wasting any further time the Lost Vessel would continue to repeat the feat until circumstances forced a change in strategy or until there were no more warriors to bring down.

Wulfrik, Castle

-His ears pricking up at the mention of ships, his heart sinks on hearing there only ships available are floating fortresses as the dwarves use, behemoths of metal and wheels that preclude any boarding actions or upriver sailing. No longships are to be found here or in the city, and from the conversation, it seems the only shipbuilders are those in Akibahara, and they could at best be trusted to build fishing boats. The Seafang will not soon sail again. However, the news that the castle is entirely dependent on a single gate to be linked to the outside world is a welcome one.-

Cutter. Return to the camp, tell Point to leave guards for the bikes and bring the rest of the men here. Remember whose lands we are in, and tell them of the punishment that awaits for unnecessary fighting.

Gluttony - Hill - Sulky hungry boi

A huge lady in pink came over and asked if Gluttony is hungry. Did she come here to give herself to him? How considerate! "Yeah, I'm hungry!" Oh, right. He should probably introduce himself to her and everyone else here. Maybe they can help him with his appetite too!

"My name is Gluttony, and I like to eat people! Nice to meet ya!" he announced to everyone as a matter of fact. With that out of the way, he tilts his head towards the nice lady while sucking on his finger. "Can I eat you?" he asks in a tone similar to how a kid would try to pester his parents to buy him a new toy car.

*sniff sniff* ... Hmm, that's weird. Why does she smell more like a bunch of rocks than human flesh?

Then came the exorcist who mentioned that maybe eating people around here isn't considered good manners or something. Gluttony is not really sure but all he got out it was that he can't eat, which really puts a damper on his mood.

"Awww..." sulked the round homunculus, his eyes drooping and his shoulders slumped. Is it so bad to let Gluttony eat some of the people here? There's certainly no harm in doing so, is there?

"Even if someone here lets me eat them?" he insisted, his stomach growling once more while looking at everyone else with puppy dog eyes.
