Naga - Crowd
"AAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAH! AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAHAHAHAH!" Naga guffawed, throwing her head back and bracing one hand on her hip while holding the other one so that it was hovering just before her chin, magnifying the confidence of her laugh by a full order of magnitude."Of course not!" she exclaimed to the so-called Wendolyn. "Why, it's quite the opposite, if anything! A young woman from a village so remote it wasn't even named, yet somehow managing to develop such an advanced laugh - now that is a sign of potential if I've ever seen one. You have the makings of a great sorceress, if nothing else. A decade or two of practice, and you might be a worthy rival someday, Wendolyn dear. Something to consider, I'd say. As for myself, I'm no mere Dark Mage. Ha! As if I'd constrain myself to a single school of magic like some sort of novice."
"Let's see, Black Magic...." She held her hand out in front of her, closed into a fist, and then started to pull one finger out each time she listed something. "White magic, fire, water, earth.... Drat! I'm all out of fingers already and I've barely even started - oh well. That can be a story for another day!"
She cocked her head to the side and looked at the approaching enemy forces, and smiled. "So, a Fire Nation, is it? Only a single element? You have nothing to fear then, fiery forces are nothing before a powerful sorceress like me, the great Naga the Serpent! And I just so happen to be in possession of a rather large building completely surrounded by moats filled with water, they'd have a world of trouble trying to take it from me. Or... from anyone there with me." Her eyes almost glazed over at the prospect of a whole gaggle of people paying rent - once this place got around to adopting gold coins for trade. Until then she'd have to make due. Though for now... perhaps something to entice the masses and lure them to her.... "Let's see if they're at least skilled enough to handle a little cold, or if they'll just wind up as fire-cicles."
"Gray... Buster!" A large bucket-sized bullet of magic that resembled ice formed in place above her hand, and then with a flick of her wrist, it went flying off over towards the gate until it reached the ten men of the fire nation. It exploded in a beautiful, harmless detonation of magic, but generating a circle of white frost in the area around it, and a wave of chill, densely humid air pushing out like a cold front, the atmosphere of the gate turning thick with water vapor.

Majima was going to have to make sure Mystique was properly taken care of. She was quickly proving to be a quick thinker, and now he had something like 50 people to work with. Not exactly the 15,000 he had back in his old clan, and these people diden't seem to be much above standard pesents, but everyone had to start from somewhere. Majima walked out from behind Mystique, approching the old man who seemed to be speaking for this group.
"There's a saying they got where I come from. The gods help those who help themselves. Pleased to meet ya, Goro Majima's the name."
He extended his hand toward the man as he observed what others were doing. The jackasses chasing these people showed up and started talking like they were reading a movie script. Standard threats, a vauge reference to some "Fire Lord" that Majima had to resist the temptation to mock, and a deadline of a half hour, the most curious thing. Why wait? Unless they weren't nearly as strong as they wanted these people to think, and we're hoping to avoid a fight? Majima had dealt with his fair share of people who were more bark then bite, and they had a funny tendency to fold in the face of real opposition.
Other people seemed eager to start the fight early. Majima, not exactly having the fancy crap some of the people like that other girl he'd negotiated with earlier had, was not about to start running at these people, not when most of these people lacked weapons.
Idly, Majima wondered if he could find a large truck somewhere in the city that still ran.
"So, what's your name? And your people need anything? Think someone's running emergency medical shit over there if anyone's injured. Otherwise, I can get ya food, weapons, and so on."
Char - Southern Gate
The fire nation forces did not impress Char in the slightest. Sure they had some tanks and beasts of burden, but he had a feeling that they weren’t going to last very long under sustained fire.
After seeing the intimidation tactics of the others, char felt no need to throw his own weight around, he had a feeling they wouldn’t work anyway given how the fire nation troops seemed to be full of themselves.
“Funnels!”
Taking a page out of Kaga’s playbook, char deployed his own drones yet again as he began setting his sights on the tanks. He’d let the others handle the foot soldiers, but those tanks were going to be his either as scrap metal or repairable vehicles.
“The arrogance of empires and those with power is that they can never tell when they’re about to set foot into their own graveyard.”
Instead of pulling out his rifle again, the red machine deployed an energy blade from its wrist as he raised his shield. Close combat would allow him to be more precise and perhaps bring some tech back unlike with the raptor earlier.
Pink Diamond, City Gate
Pink frowned when she saw the extent of the injuries the villagers had endured at the hands of the fire nation. She knew that there was no time to waste, and got to work quickly. Her particular method of healing was fairly unique. Tears flowed down from her eyes and on to the wounds of the villagers, restoring their bodies and removing their injuries. She seemed to have no difficulty conjuring these mystical healing tears for each of the wounded that approached her.
"Like these mooks never seen a dragon before," Guzma commented as a few of the peasant ran at the sight of Toothless. Of which, the dragon pulled his wing away and growled at the gangsta. "Whoa whoa, easy there pal, just checkin' ya out - "
It was then some actually soldiers came marching in, its leader riding on the back of some sorta Rhyhorn subspecies and spouting out about some Fire Lord or some crap. Guzma was about to write it off as some sorta extreme LARP, but he caught of some of the peasant being evacuated with some very, very realistic injuries. Including lost limbs.......
He frowned. Which twisted into a sadistic grin as he faced the leader.
"So.....you Fire Nation punks think y'all hot stuff, are ya?" Guzma declared to the squad leader. "Think pickin' on defenseless scrubs armed with only scraps and kitchenware makes you all feel like big men, don'cha? Well, if think yer for real, then step up to the plate for a real challenge!"
Guzma then stepped closer to the squad leader. "BEHOLD!! The most hated Bug trainer, here to beat you down, and beat you down, and beat you DOWN and never lets up! Get ready for destruction in human form! IT'S YA BOY, GUZMA!!"
The trainer then tossed a Pokeball behind him, releasing his Golisopod, the massive Bug Pokemon, rearing back and roaring. Guzma then crossed him arms and looked straight at the Fire Nation squad leader with a demonic, almost murderous gaze with an equally murderous grin. The Bug type seemed to share her master's gaze despite her eyes being completely different, yet possibly even more unsettling.
"Come at me if yer hard enough!" Guzma taunted.

DAMMIT MARK, STOP HITTING HELPY!!Siluca - City Gate
Siluca found it strange that the black-robed man was trying to invite the villagers to follow him personally, when Siluca herself and others were already directing them into the city.
She also turned to watch as Kaga deployed two flares in succession.
Siluca was somewhat relieved that Hiccup had done as she asked, though she was incredibly surprised that the dragon could understand her speech. Or, was it sufficient to point things out? Hiccup was also someone she would have to learn more about.
Siluca’s attention also turned when she saw Eve deploy the crystals embedded in her person, which then took form. The origin and process were both different, but Siluca couldn’t help but note some resemblance to her calling or summoning of Sir Balgary. The helmeted one with the strange swords seemed to be the one more suited for combat.
From the looks of things, it seemed the red knight, and possibly the Beowulf, were also moving towards the front, which was where Siluca herself would have put them.
Pink Diamond and chaos seemed to assign themselves to medical duties. Did either of them have powers similar to Priscilla’s? Siluca doubted that such a feat was divinely inspired as she had claimed, though maybe that ability was more common in these other worlds.
One man, maybe only a few years older than her, seemed to be yelling about something, though Siluca had no idea what he was saying.
Siluca tried to collect her thoughts about what else to do to prepare, but in the meantime the dragon’s deployment did seem to have the intended effect, and now the others could move onto the bridge. She heard one of them say “Wyvern Lord” so these creatures must have been familiar to them. As more of the villagers passed by, she then noticed the statue they were carrying in tow. Why in the world were they expending so much effort in carrying such a heavy object, especially when they were on the run, Siluca could not comprehend.
Then came the assailants themselves, a few of them with masks. There was quite a great number of them, including the tanks which Siluca was unfamiliar with. Seeing as how the villagers mentioned they used fire, and the fact her spell might have caught her temporary allies in the blast, using an explosion was likely not the best option. Lightning blasts would also be better for overcoming the dragon and knight’s great size.
From the commander’s rhetoric, it was clear that whoever lorded over this Fire Nation was a tyrant, though their masks and uniform did not resemble any nation Siluca was familiar with. Whether staging a rebellion would have the same level of difficulty as Sistina had yet to be seen, though right now her focus was staving off these combatants as opposed to attempting to emulate Theo’s grand speeches.
However, as people moved to action, it became abundantly clear that the side now defending the city had the advantage.
Siluca quickly tried to take note of the various powers being deployed, which of the Fire Nation soldiers they were attacking, and the general trajectories of Kaga’s planes and Char’s drones. She then sprinted forward onto the bridge, keeping at least a quarter of the bridge’s length behind those in front, and then began muttering an incantation into her wand, whose chaos globe began glowing as a bluish trail of magic spewed from its tip.
Sweeping her wand upward and pointing it toward the sky, Siluca called out “Surge forth!” as a bolt of lightning shot out from it, went a bit up into the sky but hopefully not where Kaga’s planes and Char’s drones were flying, and then shot down towards where she had last glimpsed the Fire Nation Commander and his rhino had been positioned (or where they were now if she could see them).

Kylo Ren — Southern Gate > Outside the City Walls
Ren was unsurprised at the brawny men's scepticism. After all, if he was in their position he too would have been doubtful. But it would be only a minor obstacle. Helplessness and anger resulting from it was pungent in the air. All it would take is the right action. "I think words won't convince you. Let me show you my power." His outstretched hand made a gesture, and - hopefully - the two men would suddenly find themselves held rigidly in place, as if their surroundings were suddenly solid concrete rather than thin air. He mostly ignored the actions of those around him; they were irrelevant. Less than irrelevant, in fact.
Unexpectedly, the soldiers who were driving the refugees before them made an appearance. Ren listened with detachment, noting with satisfaction that they were severe and seemed reasonably (if primitively) equipped and armed. Perhaps they would make a better basis for a new First Order. A grimace flickered across his face for a moment as a number of his fellow captives* already started attacking. To be sure, their beasts, magic and technology were powerful, but they would have paled in the face of anything devised by the First Order's engineers and designers. He would need to move fast if he wanted anyone to recruit.
Drawing his lightsaber and activating it with a characteristic snap-hiss, Ren released the pair of lumberjacks (if they had been frozen) from their stasis. Ren said, "Join your people and wait for me to return - or watch, if you still aren't convinced." Ducking into a side-street to avoid the massive throng of people, he waited until the numbers thinned and emerged from the gates, the crackling hum of his weapon singing in his ears.
Locking you up on radar since '09Ratchet and Clank — IN SPACE
Having defeated Ultimate Supreme Executive Chairman Drek's nefarious scheme, Ratchet and Clank could afford to rest on their laurels. That is not to say that the vulpine Lombax and his robot buddy stayed idle in Ratchet's garage all day. In fact, they were currently flying to Metropolis on the planet Kerwan. It was a peaceful flight through space, what with there being no Blarg going around and mucking things. It was so peaceful that Ratchet was getting increasingly bored, in fact.
"Do we really need to go to that reception?" he asked the robot at his side.
"Yes, Ratchet," Clank replied. "It is hosted by the Galactic Pres— what is that?"
"That" was a large, lightning-covered hole that opened right in front of the Blargian Starfighter
◊ Ratchet was piloting; he didn't even have time to pull at the controls as the whole swallowed the ship and closed after a faint burp.
At the Gates
Unnoticed by the rest of the refugees, Ratchet was tiptoing amongst them and doing his best not to get on their bad side. After all, while he might've been able to Walloper his way out of trouble, he really wasn't looking for any.
At last they arrived at a city, where they were received by a crew more motley than an Ameboid's menu. Ratchet ignored the guy in black talking about fear, the various people issuing commands, and even the weird pink alien and white-haired person offering healing. Instead he scanned the horizon, hoping to find a sign of his ship. No such luck; instead, noise and smoke announced the arrival of the group that was chasing the refugees he walked with. Their commander issued an ultimatum, to which most of the dwellers of the city reacted with various levels of derision.
"We should help those people," Clank said from Ratchet's back.
◊
"... you're right. But we need to find out what's going on first. Those fire guys sound kinda scary." Ratchet tried to find someone to talk to, but it seemed that the city's inhabitants have already decided to attack the Fire Nation soldiers. "Scratch that!"
The Lombax about-turned — conveniently, he was standing right next to the gate — so he was facing the Fire Nation soldiers instead of the city proper, and suddenly a missile launcher as long as he was tall
appeared in his hands and was promptly aimed at one of the rickety tanks.

On empty crossroads, seek the eclipse -- for when Sol and Lua align, the lost shall find their way home.Gwendolyn Knight of Ostia—Gates—A huge stretch in logic
Mystique returned the bow to the people that had saluted her with her eyes closed. "As a knight of Ostia, it’s my duty to protect the weak and keep you, safe. "You can call me...” The shapeshifter raised an eyebrow. She needed to think fast. One name out of place like "Chaos" or "Chun Li", and they would catch her lie in an instant.
Luckily for her, a certain girl called Wendolyn was saying her name willy-nilly. It was just a matter of giving it a slight variation.
"Gwendolyn, knight of Ostia at your service," she winked to Majima. "This is Majima my superior, and soon you will meet Mystique one of our most trusted Sorcerers."
After Majima spoke she added, "Fear not, as you are now under our protection. With us, you will become a great nation once again; stronger than you’ve ever been." Gwendolyn raised her fist in the air trying to inspire the villages. "And for my honor as a knight, I won't rest until this fire nation pays for its crimes."
Still, as gaining followers went, words could only take you so far.
"Stay behind, I will battle this evil fire nation on your behalf, while you regain your strength," Gwendolyn told the group she had attracted.
After Naga used her spell to increase the moisture from the air, Gwendolyn would rush using her "shield" aiming to tackle some of the fire nation soldiers, and, if successful, she would try to steal one of their gundaos.

Make your hearth shine through the darkest night; let it transform hate into kindness, evil into justice, and loneliness into love.Alalia watched the floating text curiously, an obvious magical effect of some sort that appeared to be made from ink. It was surprisingly polite and 'well-spoken' for a wolf, and it was obvious this was far from an ordinary wolf. Especially if it was calling itself, or herself, a goddess. And with the power she had seen so casually used, the dryad couldn't say otherwise. "I wouldn't call myself a goddess," She replied, "though I suppose on my world I would be the closest thing to one. I was born from the will of my world itself."
Movement from the tree just behind Okami caught her attention, turning her focus towards the androgynous figure now jumping through the window to join them. The dryad's eyebrows lifted slightly as she took in the outfit of, what she now assumed at least, was a woman. Her chest hinted at one thing but her lower body hinted at another. It was a touch confusing, and no doubted showed on her face slightly. Still, she had enough focus to actually look at what the redhead was wearing, which was something tight and short that wouldn't have looked out of place on the resident party girl, Bambi, back on Terraria. It looked a bit more comfortable than some of the other things she had seen so far today, at least. Though still much too tight.
"I see no reason to hide my body from others," Alalia stated simply, showing no real pride nor any other such emotion. In fact, she seemed a touch miffed. "It's simply what I am. I wear these for the sake of those too childish or crude to understand." As Loki began to leave, the dryad cocked her head in curiosity. "Followers? What do you mean? You know what that commotion is then?"
Ryu-Do I have to guest star in another crossover?
One moment ago Ryu was meditating beneath a waterfall, birds were chirping everything looked pretty peaceful. now he found himself in the different and greener surroundings of the Frontier. Surrounded by strangers, some were human, others looked human minus a few key differences and some weren't even close. He even found a few familiar faces like Chun-li and Juri.
Ryu listened as the mysterious stranger explained their situation while the other discussed it among themselves. As they began to split apart the fighter followed the others from a distance soon after.
City Gate
Ryu was eventually lead to the gate, where he saw how the man of the "Fire Nation" brutalized the villagers, another army that oppresses those weaker than it, his blood boiled with righteous fury as he tightened his bandana. He revealed himself at this moment by jumping between the villagers and the fire nation soldiers.
He charged a Denjin Hadoken in his hands, his ki being turned into a crackling ball of energy. He aimed it at the fire nation tanks, waiting for the right opportunity to let the projectile loose.
There is a point where we needed to stop and we have clearly passed it...but let's keep going and see what happensChun-Li & Juri, City Gates
Soon enough, both Chun-Li and Juri ended up at the City Gates themselves to see the crowd of people that had formed.
"Anyone who wants to be taught the art of self-defense should join me," Chun-Li began as she attempted to impress some villagers with her skill in martial arts.
"If you join up with me, I could teach you how to fight against your pursuers," Juri said as she tried to show off her own martial arts skill to any villager interested.
And then the Fire Nation attacked. Both Street Fighters looked at the Fire Nation and their arsenal.
"Wow, are they supposed to be ripping off medieval Japan?" Juri at least seemed to be humored by their existence.
"We won't let you harm any more innocent people!" Chun-Li began fighting the infantry by using her skills in martial arts to disarm them and knock them out through a variety of skillful punches and kicks.
Juri shrugged and joined Chun-Li in fighting the infantry with her own martial arts through a variety of kicks. Much like Chun-Li, she disarmed the infantry, but unlike her, Juri wasn't afraid to break a few bones in the process of knocking them out. After all, she didn't care if the Fire Nation survived her or not.
Wizard Needs Food Badly"...Let me put it this way," Aeolia said, keeping her hand on her sister's shoulder, "I think our entrance into this piece could wait a little while. Majima would be a little more impressed, then..."
Ionia seemed miffed, as usual. She withdrew her hand, and slowly nodded. "Maybe, maybe. I can't tell you if he's anticipating it, though." Aeolia smiled at this, and turned around to face the great crowd that...uh, Gwendolyn had gotten.
"We're with Majima as well. Our contribution might be a little lacking, but how about this: would you like to have a little entertainment on top of a fight?"
A whole crowd of strange things, faceless and seemingly made of cloth, appeared behind the sisters without warning. Aeolia raised a hand, Ionia raised a hand reluctantly, and the two conducted a piece that seemed fitting for today's festivities.
Scrooge - When in Rome...
The billionaire ducked watched bemusedly as the obnoxious witch filled the area with mist and several of the others began attacking the fire soldiers. It's not like he could says anything since they weren't technically comrades, but it was still infuriating to see his intimidation attempt gone moot.
"...Or we could just begin wrecking you right now. That works, too..." Scrooge then sprinted to a helmeted soldier that wasn't already attacked, making sure to position himself right before the goon. Most of his ancestor's victories came from the fact that their opponent's helmets weren't designed for confronting enemies that were less than half their size, and Scrooge figured that the ones made by this ember eountry weren't any different. Taking Advantage of that, he tried to headbutt the nether regions of the soldier before, if successful, following it by a blunderbuss shot to the belly. He counted on the armor to absorb the rock salt's impact and make sure the soldier was left alive but with more than few broken bones.

Guzma looked around with a neutral expression as a bunch of other people were attacking the soldiers right then and there without waiting for a response. Usually Guzma liked a little banter from a potential victim just for lolz, but seeing everyone jumping the gun, somebody playing actuak fight music, and Golisopod almost frothing at the mouth, the trainer shrugged and decided to roll with it.
"First Impression!" Guzma ordered, pointing at a group of Fire Nation soldiers that were not being attacked at the moment. Golisopod complied, rushing at the soldier at near blinding speed to tackle headbutt one unlucky soldier hard enough to send him flying and possibly one hit K Oing him before randomly slashing and thrashing the surrounding soldiers.
Golisopod used First Impression!
Meanwhile, Guzma himself rushed in, grabbed a random Fire Nation soldier that was not preoccupied with his Pokemon by their face, and slammed him into the ground, most likely causing a concussion at the very least.
"NEXT VICTIM!!" Guzma called out into the Fire Nation soldiers as he cracked his knuckles.
DAMMIT MARK, STOP HITTING HELPY!!Char - Red Comet vs the Fire Nation
Char decided that since everyone else was cutting loose now, he would too, deciding to blitz one of the closest tanks as his drones began firing at the wheels/treads of the other tanks, aiming for disabling blows and not outright destruction.
Char was familiar with heavy machinery such as this, and though it looked different from the tanks of his home world, he was certain they'd have the same weak points such as a view port for the driver or commander as he charged in.
"I'll need finesse this time if I wanna bring these things back intact."
He hoped his shield would be enough for the moment to brace against any fire that might get thrown his way, holding his sword out to try and jam it through any slit he could see in the armor. Commander, Driver, or Gunner, any hit would be a good hit since it would disable a part of the tank.
The sudden attacks committed with blitzkrieg speed reminiscent of their own decisive strikes definitely hit like a speeding truck at the off-guard and still congregating Fire Nation soldiers. Havoc was the order of the day as the foot soldiers and a few elite Benders went down due to fumbling their weapons, never thinking that the massively outnumbered custodians of the escapees would commit such a headstrong and foolhardy action.
There were definitely howls of pain as bones were broken, bodies were flung, and people knocked either unconscious or unmoving from the strange and alien abilities involved, which only invited more hesitation as the fresher of the recruits reacted slowly to adapt to such. By the time a proper response was mounted, roughly twenty out of the currently hundred assembled men had fallen into a state unfit for active combat. Mystique would also be able to easily have her pick of weapons dropped from such an encounter if she so wished.
"Impudence! Only the Fire Nation may attack first with no questions asked! It was already enough that we were ignoring you but to do this?! Men, let's show these rabble the righteous wrath of our FLAMES! LADS, RAZE EVERYTHING TO THE GROUND WITH THE POWER OF THE SUUUUUUUUUUNNNNN!" Growing more energetic and hyped the more he talked, the commander all but flung away his bullhorn before kicking the mount forward.
Thankfully for all the Firebenders involved, Hiccup's explosive plasma breath had enough intensity and heat to disperse a good portion of the misty moisture that Naga had conjured over the group, making it plenty easier for the soldiers in that part of the vicinity to generate and manipulate their literal firepower, though not after five soldiers were sent flying from the shockwave.
The leader on the Komodo rhino though had stabler grounding and was farther away from the beast in question so after a bit of reeling, the man simply slapped his mount's back to send the thing charging towards Toothless in a bellow of hefty rage before leaping off to perform a surprisingly dexterous backflip to avoid the lightning attack heading his way after tossing his ceremonial saber in its path to act as a magnet to attract its powerful charges. "Lightning?! How dare a filthy savage like you have access to the highest tier of bending available to our great nation?!"
The sheer rage and frustration surging around the leader's heart gave rise to stronger power amassed from the warped Firebending that was taught to the imperialistic armed forces of their warmongering nation, which when coupled with the similarly charged emotion of the true elites of the unit gave rise to something quite spectacular... and dangerous.
Moving in synchronized perfection with ten other similarly dressed Elite Firebenders, the commander and group inhaled deeply before spinning their arms back like wounded springs before punching out powerful jabs... that sent incandescent lances of searing rage fire lancing in descending arcs towards the city as though they wanted to set ablaze everything the defenders were fighting hard to protect.
The two tanks meanwhile would roar to life as their inner mechanisms were powered by impassioned recruits that worked hard to send the machine churning up topsoil while the men peeking out of the turrets exhaling and punching forth repeatedly to send out basketball sized globs of fireballs that would explode on contact with anything they touched at roughly the rate of once every three seconds both as a means of indiscriminate attack and fevered defense.
Ryu's Hadoken would smash against the vehicle with enough force to jar it to a quick stop and throw the fireball thrower off balance while Char's strike through the slitted gaps would stop the tank proper from moving on like its companion due to the driver being run through with an energy blade... which was all the time needed for the missile storm shot by Ratchet had managed to breach through the slower rate of fire and impacted against one of the shelled vehicles to crumple it like someone stomping on a beer can. Fragments of superheated metal shrapnel flew from the wreckage, making things hairy for both attackers and defenders alike.
By this point in time, roughly half of the scouting group of imperials had been taken down though the morale of such was only heated up from what was presumed to be sheer anger that they were having their collective asses kicked by the strange defenders. "ALL OR NOTHING LADS! THE PHOENIX KING AWAITS OUR VICTORY!" Spewing out jingoistic propaganda at the top of his lungs to bolster the group running forward, the leader grunted before his group would rapidly backhanding everywhere with whips of crackling and flaring energy whips that snaked in wild and erratic movements. Still, due to their overdrafting of dark passions the rate of attack was definitely steadily dwindling over time the longer they continued their actions.
Firebenders of the general unit would stoop forward while moving to drag their fingers through the grass and light up an encompassing half circle of tall dancing flames to surround the area outside the city walls to try to restrict the defenders' movements while their nonbending brothers followed from behind by shooting flaming arrows at whatever they could target from the rear by making use of the ambient resources provided while the marksmen were protected by a charging wall of pikemen bristling with pointy bits intent on skewering those that they could catch followed by the surviving tank that seemed to be intent on ramming/running over the opposition. Still, those with keen eyes would see that this was an all or nothing attack and if it failed, things would probably be rather rocky for the forces once their strength and bravado flagged.
While the fight was going on outside the walls, the more courageous of the villagers were watching everything with tears in their eyes and clenched fists, their loyalty definitely rising up a lot higher than before after seeing the people risk life and limb to protect their batch of country bumpkins from a life of enslavement and forced labor. Those healed by chaos and Pink Diamond were gaping like fishes as their pains ebbed and bodies healed, the more tortured of the group sinking down with content looks on their faces while the rest cried while passionately thanking the healers.
"My name is Aben, m-milord." The old man responded while he remained stooped over his cane, shakily bowing towards the superior of the supposed Knight of Ostia considering how she had been talking about him, simpler mind equating the superior of the superior as head honcho. "This one won't be so direct as t-to demand anything of you sirah, but the group is definitely starving after our flight from the Fire Nation... If there are some rations of the like as stale bread or watery gruel, we'd be more than happy to partake..."
"Hehe, serves those dastards right. For all their talk about Fire Nation this, they're burning themselves out faster than they are supposedly taking care of us." Wendolyn gave a sardonic laugh even as she gazed down at the melee, stooping to pick a hefty piece of rubble before dropping it down on the head one of the charging pikemen to crumple them from the force of falling rubble before ducking her head down to dodge the literal return fire.
"Thanks for the compliment, mage. Not many people think that particular feature of mine is acceptable." Now suitably more cheerful that her pursuers were getting their collective asses whooped, Wendolyn was smiling quite a bit more even if it was a sardonic and sadistic grin that showed quite a bit of teeth. "You know, for a lady that shows off so much of herself like a Plegian Dark Mage, you're not so bad."
"Followers are something that all gods need in some way, shape, or form to remain relevant to the world, least where I came from. We don't need them to survive but they do help out a lot in our working of 'miracles' onto the world." Responding rather easily to the fact she was a divine being to the nymph with a smirk, the Trickster God then inclined her head towards the mayhem happening with a twinkle in her eyes. "And as for what's happening, I do believe we've been met with some newcomers. If you'd like to come and find out who the guests are, then follow along."
With that said, Loki would then continue moving to where all the action was and found a group of medieval peasants that were cheering on the other stranger beings with impunity while booing and hissing at the red and black folks that were trying to attack the place with fire and cold steel. "Wow, you mortals can't go on for too long without waging war on each other huh?" Angling her crossbow at one of the people launching fire at the settlement proper, she pulled the trigger and watched with some interest as the guy gagged from the bolt now protruding from his neck before falling down like a sack of potatoes.

Ratchet — City Gates
Things looked decidedly unfriendly as the Fire Nation soldiers attacked, and Ratchet was not spared the effects of the attack — one of the searing pieces of shrapnel cut his arm. Even as he was hopping around and shouting ("hothotohtot—!!"), the wound glowed blue and closed, Ratchet's Nanotech doing its work and healing him from the inside out.
The Lombax growled, crouched, and sprang into the air. Propellers extended from Clank's antenna and hands, giving Ratchet the boost he needed to clear the Firebenders' wall of fire. The Devastator was gone in the meantime, replaced by a black-blue glove with two pipes in it.
Double Jumping away from fireballs, flaming arrows and people with pointy sticks, Ratchet lobbed bomb after bomb at the Fire Nation soldiers, targeting the non-bender support troopers first (having figured that others more capable than he would take care of the strange fire-spitting aliens).
Ryu-Round 2, FIGHT!
As the tank crumpled, Ryu's dodged out of the way of the shrapnel before setting his eyes on his other target.
He saw the elite send their wave of fire towards the city, he took a deep breath before his face as locked on a cold and serene gaze.
Energy gathered in his hands as he harnessed the Power of Nothingness, while his other attack cost him too much energy he could still give one last Hadouken.
"Shinku..." The energy in his hands glowed blue as he cleared his mind of all emotions, the power of the void strengthened his spirit and then he let it go.
"HADOKEN!" The incredibly powerful torrent of energy was launched towards the approaching wave of flames.

There is a point where we needed to stop and we have clearly passed it...but let's keep going and see what happensInto the maelstrom of battle
-Phoenix king? Have the elves started drawing from the armies of Cathay and Nippon to replace their dwindling numbers? While their arms are similar, they did not have so many wizards the last time Wulfrik was there, nor did they have tanks. While the others target the machines, Wulfrik breaks into a run, chasing after the commander and his mount.-
He'll be waiting a long time for his victory, worm! Will you not run back and tell him to send true fighters next time?
Char
Char had not really expected any support in taking on this tank, the result being that he was caught in the explosion at point blank, only being saved from shrapnel piercing his head and chest by the shield he had held up infront of him. Still the blast sent him skidding backward with a piece of metal now firmly lodged in his left shoulder, limiting its mobility. But his right arm was still good to go and his legs still functioned.
As he took a moment to scan the situation, he ignored the infantry, certain the powers of the others could handle the foot soldiers well enough. The second tank was his primary concern considering it was currently the heaviest enemy unit on the field and likely going to crush anything in its path. If he didn't neutralize it quick, someone else was gonna blow it right he hell up before he could claim it...and so Char decided to do something dumb.
"Hey you savages in the tin can!"
Char chucked the sword in his left hand at the tank as a distraction, hoping he could hit the firing port where the gunner was but mostly just using it to get the tank facing him as he raced forward with his shield still held up as an increasingly fragile barrier between him and the spouts of flame.
Scrooge - Somebody wanted roasted duck?
As the soldier fell backwards unconscious, Scrooge showed a satisified smirk. That smirk soon dissapeared as a bolt of fire came toward him. With an unvoluntary *squawk*, he dove under it, making his hat falls in the process. It burned a couple of his top feathers, but otherwise passed harmlessly. Relieved, he went back up before seeing a real wave of flames coming toward him along with explosive arrows falling at random. Didn't these guys care about their own soldiers? Now, Scrooge liked to believe he had many qualities. Being fireproof wasn't one of them.
In a panic, he grabbed his hat (no way was he gonna buy another one) and then ran toward the city gates in a zigzag as he dodged the many projectiles falling down. Arriving before the city after having lost the end of his tail, he rushed toward Naga and shouted to her while poiting at the flames frantically, as if to show her the danger. "HEY, YOU! I saw what you did back then! Summon the biggest shower you can manage before we're all cooked!" He didn't like asking her for help, but it's not like there were any firetrucks nearby.

Siluca - Battle at the City Gates
From hearing the commander’s words, Siluca was surprised that he had managed to avoid her attack, though maybe she needed a better angle.
Did he use his sword to deflect it?
Siluca had never seen someone try that before, as most people were not quick enough to dodge it. Furthermore, did that spell seem less potent than her usual attacks?
Whatever the case may have been, it seemed these Fire Nation people had lightning magic of their own, though there did not seem to be an obvious source to their magic. Were their stances and movements their own way of casting magic?
Given little time to take note of everyone’s attacks, Siluca’s attention then turned to the fireballs the enemy soldiers were lobbing towards the city. They did not seem as powerful as an explosion spell at its fullest, but something about them reminded her of the heavy crossbows the Waldlind Knights used in battle.
These, she might have some hope of stopping.
Taking a few steps back toward the city, Siluca turned right (west) and pointed her wand at the fireballs as her chaos globe began to glow.
“Extinguish!”
The globe’s light immediately faded.
“Huh?”
Siluca brought her wand close to her.
This wasn’t good.
Looks like she wouldn’t have an easy way to keep those fireballs from hitting the city. Why didn’t this spell work? Something about this world must have been interfering with her magic. She could try moving the water to block the incoming blasts, but it would take too long and possibly leave her vulnerable as she tried to cast it. That, and there were archers firing into their disorganized ranks.
Seeing Scrooge heading back towards the city, and seeing as he was one of the least protected, Siluca turned and pointed her wand towards his general direction.
“Elude!” she called out, her chaos globe glowing as she attempted to redirect whatever arrows were coming towards Scrooge downwards, maintaining the spell until it seemed he was a safe distance away and following him when it looked like he would pass her.

Naga - Atop the Frost Wall
"Well for all the ills you speak of them, if your Plegian Mages have one thing right, it's proper spellcasting attire," Naga said to Wendolyn as she looked over the wall at the battlefield. "If you're not confident enough to wear the robes of a sorceress, how can you be confident enough when you channel your magic in a fight, or speak words of power?""OOOOOHHHHHOHOHOHOHOHOHOOHO! AAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" she laughed and shouted down at the Fire Nation. And then dove for cover alongside Wendolyn when the return fireballs shot back up at them.
"So this... Fire Nation," she added. "They really do only use fire.... And lightning, for some reason. Still! What fools! A true sorcerer would know a host of elements to always give them options. Limiting themselves to fire like that, it means even a village girl with a brick could take them out - just like you did. Now let's say we send more bricks their way, shall we?"
Just as she was about to solve all their problems in the best way she knew how - by summoning a golem to smash things she didn't like - the little duck-man ran by and made his demands clear.
"What's the matter, afraid your goose might get cooked?" Naga teased Scrooge. "Worry not! I, Naga the Serpent, know just the spell!" Standing up and channeling a big burst of magical energy into her hands, she threw both of her hands outwards as the energy ball flew away.
"Freeze Rain!" she shouted. A spell of her own design, the energy ball flew out and created a large, hovering ball of ice in the air over a hundred feet out from the wall they were on. It started to rain down icicles into the area below it.
Of course... Naga had no way of controling the spell anymore, which meant it would just keep on raining down icicles until someone got rid of it. But that wasn't a problem for her. Not anymore, at least.
"Now while they're all busy fighting, it would be the right time for you and your villager friends to retreat away from this wall and deeper into the city - for safety, of course," Naga added to Wendolyn and the other nearby villagers. "And I have just the place already that I can lead you to. Wouldn't want you poor, innocent people to be caught in the crossfire, would we? No point in losing your lives, or your family's lives... or losing whatever cherished valuables you managed to bring with you."

Scrooge - Gate
Seriously, why was everyone surprised by his appearance? There were a lot more people weirder than a duck, yet everyone treated Scrooge like he was the last surviving unicorn. Still, at least the girl seemed relatively level-headed. This was a good quality in the rich duck's eyes. "My name's Scrooge Mc Duck, lass. What are those Rigelians?"
Whether or not the peasant girl responded, Scrooge's attention was caught by the troop of soldiers. Not even a day and there were already invaders. He didn't have access to any traps, but he figured that the combined strength of the people gathered here was enough to deal with these goons. The tanks may be a problem, tough. He gave the metal parts he was still holding to the young woman. "Get in the city with the others and safekeep these for me. I better find you there when it's all over, got it?"
Regardless of her response, he went beside the mass of people to have a closer look along with a few others. He raised his blunderbuss toward the leader in a threatening mannet. "Don't talk as if we aren't here, you tinhead. We aren't going to bend over and just let you take these people because your flame lord said so. They are under our protection. So I suggest you and your cronies go back home to your mamas before we get angry."
