Restarting due to rekindled interest. Basically, we all RP as various deities that have been contracted into helping a much newer and more inexperienced god create a universe. It's essentially a in-character world-building project.

Templates are constructed as follows:

Name of Deity: Titles: True Name: Primary Domain: Secondary Domain: Appearance of True Form: Appearance of Avatar: Personality: Backstory: Additional Information:

  • Name: Wellan
  • True Name: Willard SanVarstein, the Lord of the Merging Paths
  • Titles: The Lord of Two Paths, The Man in the Stars, The Great Inventor
  • Description: Wellan usually takes the form of a thin, handsome man in his mid-to-late twenties with skin that looks like a starry night sky, with hair that looks like fiery shooting stars and eyes that look like galaxies. He often has rune-inscribed clockwork and cybernetics/technological gadgets either on his person or replacing parts of his body (typically the arms), he typically wears nothing but a pair of light tan cargo shorts besides magic and tech. When in human form, he takes the form of a thin, handsome man in his mid-to-late twenties with pale skin, dark hair, and eyes like stars. When in this form, he typically has advanced magical and technological paraphernalia on his person, but could otherwise could be dressed like anything, depending on the time period.
  • Primary Domain: Technology and Magic. Before he was granted godhood, he was a famous inventor, rocket scientist, and mage on a world with weird Clockpunk-y Functional Magic and about 1960s-level technology. He strongly believed (and still believes) that magic and technology are interchangeable, though they both are better at different things. He quite possibly knows more about magic, technology, and how both work in different universes than any other being in the multiverse. He can inspire great inventors and magic-users, and can manipulate magic and technology in ways undreamed of. He is the patron god of Transhumanists, Inventors, and Wizards, and many pray to him for inspiration or ingenuity.
  • Secondary Domain: Outer Space. He rules the vastness of the cosmos, where he lives among the stars and planets and comets and black holes. His constellations are legendary among the gods, and he often guides astronauts, cosmonauts, and other space travelers safely through the vast emptiness of the cosmos He is the patron god of astronomers, astronauts, and all others fascinated with the vastness of space.
  • Personality: Wellan is a Nice Guy. He knows what it's like to be a mortal, so he's rarely, if ever, a petty or Jerkass God. He is very involved in the world, but is almost always very subtle about his involvement. He helps understanding of technology, magic, and the cosmos develop, and whenever a world begins to fall into a dark age of Medieval Stasis, he helps nudge said world out of it.

He takes the souls of Inventors, Transhumanists, Wizards, Astronomers, Astronauts, and those who are fascinated by magic, technology, or the cosmos or that lived or died in the void of space. The only exceptions are if said individuals were irredeemably evil. He's willing to accept flawed but goodhearted and neutral individuals (so long as they have standards and aren't just apathetic), but will not accept those that are wicked and cruel.

Umm... so, I was here, I guess. If I wasn't, someone hacked my account. So, yeah.

Name of Deity: The Nameless

Titles: Nameless, Mr. Indecisive, Will-You-Just-Make-Up-Your-Mind-And-Pick-Something-Already

True Name: Remains unchosen

Primary Domain: Remains Unchosen

Secondary Domain: Remains Unchosen

Appearance of True Form: A blank white human figure

Appearance of Avatar: A blank white copy of whatever mortal he’s speaking to

Personality: Indecisive, naive, surprisingly creative

Backstory: At the First Genesis, when all of the original gods came into being, they all decided their true names and domains within five minutes, then went off to make and tend universes. The Nameless was the one exception. Every time he came close to deciding, he’d change his mind. This continued for trillions of years up to the present day, where he has finally decided to get help in making a universe of his own in the hope he’ll be motivated enough to make a choice and stick with it.

Additional Information: He’s actually very knowledgeable about universe creation, due to having served as an uncredited freelance developer on several hundred of them. This includes Wellan’s.

Name of Deity: Kan Ver Khan

Titles: Lifegiver, Limb Raider, Grave Robber, Divine Blasphemer

True Name: His true name is pronounced like the sound of some plant growing up through the bones of a small creature but very fast.

Primary Domain: Life. While many gods can create life, Khan can easily warp existing life forms with his touch and create his own life very easily. In fact, while he does have a bad habit of messing with other gods' lifeforms, he has a tendency to create towering abominations of lifeforms, and is responsible for the creation of long-lasting and deadly creatures such as Holy Man's Bane, Godslayer (disclaimer - does not actually slay gods), and God Carcass (disclaimer - not actually a god). His creatures have both populated and depopulated planets.

Secondary Domain: Time. This gives him the time to create life in a flash. He cannot stop time, however; he merely 'folds' it, making moments shorter or longer as he sees fit. This also lets him think and react faster than pretty much everyone who isn't also time-affiliated.

Appearance of True Form: He resembles a humanoid made of a dark inky tar substance that he claims is the raw matter of life, or at least his life. His perfectly circular eyes are white.

Appearance of Avatar: His humanoid avatar resembles a pale human with jet black hair and faded grey eyes. Not the most fancy avatar, but it gets the job done.

Personality: Kan Ver Khan is actually very friendly for the most part. He enjoys the little things in life, the small details. That being said, he likes to create towering, abominable lifeforms alongside his smaller works. He is amiable towards almost all gods, even those of death and war and suchlike, as he believes death makes life more interesting. He has a bad habit of making life from other people's lifeforms and already dead lifeforms, hence his nicknames of Limb Raider and Grave Robber. This also leads to some humanoid creations of his, or at least made of human creations of his. He is very curious about how things work, and luckily understands things very easily. He isn't too protective of his pet lifeforms except for the special ones, but for most he lets life take place naturally.

Backstory: Kan Ver Khan has, from the beginning, made some of the more interesting universes. He has a tendency of leaving them alone for quite a long time so they can 'evolve' on their own. His original universe, which he has tended to very carefully (the exception to his 'leave alone' rule), is still going strong, and it is where he places his most successful creations. It is a land of peace and prosperity. However, the same can not be said for many of his other universes. Those tend to be testing grounds, and they end up usually chaotic, with new lifeforms introducing themselves with no pause. Some manage to eke out a civilized existence, if they ever evolve that far.

Name of Deity: Godpriest Ansular

Titles: Godkiller, Avenger of Sesain

True Name: Henry Gore

Primary Domain: Boons. He can grant a large variety of minor powers upon mortals. However, he cannot grant himself a boon. Boons include super strength, fire resistance, martial prowess, magical prowess, and various magical feats, such as ability to turn to stone, ability to breathe fire, ability to dash at lightning speeds for short distances, and similar.

Secondary Domain: Life. Unlike Kan Ver Khan, Ansular does not create life (well, he can, but usually doesn't). He maintains it and keeps it going, more like a caretaker or nurse than the sometimes absent father Khan is. He grants vitality, strength, and motivation to those living, and plants spring at his touch. Unlike Khan, Ansular likes the micro scale more than the micro, preferring smaller lifeforms over the towering creations of Khan.

Appearance of True Form: His true form is of a pale man, roughly 6 feet tall, who wears a long black cloak and grey clothing.

Appearance of Avatar: His avatar is the same as his true form, but slightly more pale and around a foot taller.

Personality: He's a serious man, one who takes little humor in things. He takes an interest on the smaller things when creating a universe, like culture and species, than larger things, like planets. He has a soft spot for the intelligent mortal races, especially humans.

Backstory: Once upon a time, Ansular as a man named Henry Gore, from the world Yhen. He was of the profession that many called Hunter-Preacher. He preached the word of the gods, until one day a divine smiting destroyed the city of Sesain, where his family stayed. In anger he forsook the gods, and, even with the relatively primitive technology of Yhen, armed himself and took to killing many of the believers of the god Zazz. After a few years, Zazz himself came down to smite Henry. The scuffle that followed is the stuff of legends. The end result is that Henry, now taking the name Ansular, became a god, and Zazz hasn't been seen since the fight and is presumed.... missing or otherwise.

Yay surprised Then I present my submission for the deity of Adventure, Revelry, and Creation:

Name of Deity: Horizon Runner

Titles: Hori (Horr Ree), Ruins Lord, Grand Boxer, Hero Maker

True Name: Kale Saxon

Primary Domain: Bravery and Adventure! As in mortal life, so in immortal life. Before becoming a god he was a renowned adventurer, both for his deeds and his mustache. He was a strong proponent of fighting with his fists against ever more powerful foes and seeking out new adventure. Riches were used to fund his adventures and make his prized gauntlets. He is the patron to adventurers, adrenaline junkies, and magic knights.

Secondary Domains: Revelry and Crafting. Adventurers celebrate as a tradition and Kale never failed this tradition. As for the art of crafting Kale first focused on creating his gauntlets. Initially it was to for a group of magical knights' membership requirement, then to punch things that resisted punching, and finally to serve as a handicap. Second was brewing as his training resulted in a heroic constitution that made revelry harder.

Appearance of True Form: A broad shouldered, muscled, goliath of emerald whose hair is made of obsidian and with a impressive mustache. He is always seen wearing either jewel studded bracers or gauntlets. The jewels often arc with power.

Appearance of Avatar: Usually takes the form of a broad shouldered, very fit, handsome male humanoid with an impressive mustache and mullet. He will often sport a feathered hat, shorts, various sashes, and a pair of bejeweled gauntlets. The gauntlet's act as his Divine version, adding magical punch to his power or weaken his attacks. Sometimes randomized to keep it interesting.

Personality: Extroverted, loud, and hammy. He does have a thing for helping the little guy but is done under the assumption they'll follow in his footsteps. He can't consider why someone wouldn't want to be an adventurer but does acknowledge those Not Particularly Epic people are a vital support to an adventurer's trade. He believes that challenges help people grow and become greater, so he gives them challenges.

Backstory: A full throttle adventure seeker, Kale never stopped sprinting to the horizon in search of adventures. A fact that left his world bereft of dangers. So he went to another world! Several times. Eventually he built up so much power that he ascended. Or was promoted to make him stop ruining ancient prophecies. Now The Horizon Runner entertains himself with his hammy attempts to guide mortals on the Path of Adventure! Yes, it always has an exclamation mark.

Additional Information: Very knowledgeable about monsters, magic artifacts, trap filled ruins, and adventurers. He is of the firm belief that worlds that need adventurers are more exciting for mortals then ones that don't. And has added monster filled dungeons wholesale to various worlds.

Let the good times roll.

Name: Terminus

Title: Dimensional Prisoner, God Of Fundamental Physics, The Lawmaker

True Name: As of yet unknown, likely because it was removed from existence entirely when he was sealed away. The only one who knows it is Terminus himself. It’s 5807B-Arkata. The name was purged from history, and actually describes the stars orbiting the orb rather than the full form of Terminus. The full form is simply Terminus- its name is open to the public.

Description: Terminus’s true form is not accessible via any means, ever, as a result of his sealing. He manifests as a strange, white, heart-shaped mask similar in appearance to Majora’s if it didn’t have spikes. When the mask is put on by any being, human or otherwise, six tentacles will appear from portals and follow the one wearing the mask. The appearance, personality, or anything else about the human he is using is irrelevant.

True Form: Terminus’s true form is a blue orb with six tentacles. Surrounding the orb are three sunlike stars.

Primary Domain: Gravity, Electromagnetism, Strong and Weak Forces, Thermodynamics. He manipulates these on a small scale; he can change the physics of any single object to fit his desires. Terminus’s true form, which he used when creating stars and the planets orbiting them, has long since been locked in another dimension. He no longer has the ability to begin nuclear fusion or create singularities. His current power can reduce any object to absolute zero at no consequence to the things around it, increase or decrease the gravity of objects, and convert atoms into other atoms. He is only able to alter an object’s physics by touching it; he couldn’t change the Sun’s... anything, but he could change a water glass to be a liquid if he was holding it.

Secondary Domain: Other Worlds. Terminus’s true form is sealed in another dimension, and can only affect ours when someone is wearing his manifestation. His mask immediately takes control of the person who wears it, allowing him to affect our world. He is also able to generate six tentacles around the mask in various positions. Despite not being able to open portals to his own dimension (aside from the tentacles, which are part of his true form and the only thing allowed to leave), he can open them to worlds besides our universe and his prison.

What Happens If He Gets Out: There are a few more stars. Three, to be exact. He also gains further control over physics and the ability to create stars and singularities.

Personality: Terminus is a responsible... man? Mask? He knows the extent of his power and limits himself from using it; he doesn’t manipulate anything major like one of the actual laws instead of just a single object. He’s also sort of a nerd; he will take any opportunity to tell people cool things about science. He’s always silently judging everyone and everything, but never acts on his judgement unless they’re genocidal or something like that. He helps in the background, subtly lessening gravity so you don’t die from falling or slightly lowering temperature to prevent serious burns. He really doesn’t mind his current state, and has no desire to escape his dimension outside of the form he takes now.

Backstory: Terminus was an indescribable being. He went around creating planets and stars and galaxies, until he had made a lot of them and was kind of bored of it. Other gods at that time took notice of his power. They held a council and decided the best course of action was to limit him to minor powers. So Terminus was locked away in another world. He tried to get out. He couldn’t. So he made a mask. He gave a fraction of his power to the mask, so he could control it and whatever wore it. The wearer would be immortal, but under his control. One day, a tyrannical governor found the mask. He put it on, thinking it would give him absolute power. It didn’t. Terminus took control of the mask and the man, manifested six of his tentacles as a tool, and went on to wander the Earth.

Additional Information: Trying to go through the portals his tentacles come out of will not work. You will be met with a one-way portal out, not in. The only exception to the one way portal is Terminus himself, who can move his tentacles in and out of the portal as he pleases.
