I know this'd probably sound crazy and/or silly, but

Maleficent should've been one of the 13 Seekers of Darkness

...Given how some of the princesses are by marriage, I sorta headcanon/imagine that Kairi might have been destined to marry Ienzo at some point.

I dunno why, honestly.

yeah, as said before, the keyblade war happens in the mobile/browser game, and was essentially "all the thousands of kids (IE, YOUR CHARACTERS) who were part of the keyblade Unions and were gathering lux to stave off the darkness eventually ended up being all present the day the 5 unions got into a fight over months/years of manipulated misunderstandings and manipulations and it essentially turned into a bloodbath where everyone but your specific protagonist and a few other important npcs like Luxu/Braig and Ventus died.

I dunno.

I dunno what we count.

...I wish Terra was 30, dangit.

I assume, like, 19 ish. He's definitely younger than Isa and Lea in BBS. So.

The keyblades are haunted by their ghosts, apparently.

Which. I don't think that makes them not dead.

It definitely makes the way Xehanort does the keyblade Tornado thing a lot creepier though.

...I wish Xehanort couldn't do that anymore, actually, come to think about it, after Ephemer.

Like, when Xehanort does it they don't seem to be. Active. Or awake. He's just moving the metal around. Or whatever the material is. Sora and Ephemer can actually use the heart.

Now you and few other survivors have PTSD and your Dream Eater pets are there to eat the bad traumatic nightmares. While you and the regular Dandelions have Laser-Guided Amnesia.

[up] Some are still alive, but he points out there aremany keyblades that are lifeless, because their owners heart died and they were born from said heart.

tbh that just makes it creepier that your characters names can show up in 3 when at the graveyard, because on some level you and all of the friends you had before the keyblade war are either dead, ghosts, or the fucking HEARTLESS

It will take Yoko Taro's form. That would be a good enough Drakengard/ Nier Cameo for me, and it wuld similar to Nier Automata's CEO Bonus Boss DLC. tongue

Crazy wild mass guess I just thought of.

What if the Book of Prophecy the master of masters has is actually a timeshifted Jiminy's Journal.

Yeah, I think the Princesses of Heart don't have to be royalty because Alice is one of them, and she's just an ordinary British girl who had a really trippy dream one day.

I tought if the Book of Prophecies are the Gummiphone after the end of the game(Sora need to lost it in someway on the beginning of the next game in order to start a new one),and like everything on this franchise, the social media need to have some importance for the plot maybe will be tied .

And I not know how to use spoiler tag .

Xehanort does refer to the keys he’s using as “broken” or “lifeless”.

And I don’t think he’s making the keys come to life so much as he’s just summoning a windstorm to physically throw them around.

@unoun Terra is 20, Aqua is 18 and Ventus is 16 according to Nomura.

Chronologically, Terra is 31-32, Aqua is 29-30, and Ventus is 27-28 but not biologically due to shenanigans.

So, I finished BH 6 (Actually pretty cool even if there are still a few things I'd change here and there) and completed the whole Anti-Aqua and Land of Departure stuff. It... actually felt pretty good? This should have been WAY earlier in the story and this is also something I'm SHOCKED they ever showed in the trailers at all, but it felt pretty good.

I question why Land of Departure is all... bright and shiny still though? Like, not a major thing but a big emotional moment was Xehenort destroying it after murdering Eraqus and that's also what it looked like when Aqua made it Castle Oblivion. Which... I KIND of wanted a Castle Oblivion level? Like, maybe not very long but we could have done a short level with some 'rooms' based on older worlds we haven't seen in ages? It'd give us time to have Aqua in our party too, right?

My only issue... I feel that Vanitas should have been a recent add to the Dark 13 like I suggested for Monsters Inc. EVERYONE has just forgotten about him thinking he died and he's been sulking the basements of Monsters Inc to feed and survive until he could find Ventus on his own. Maybe even keep him being 'yeeted' into other worlds by Scully, only to explain that the only reason Vanitas doesn't teleport back and repaint the laugh floor is because Xehenort shows up and offers him a position in the Dark 13. Vanitas refuses and claims to have been on his own for the last decade only for Xehenort to point out how little that has gotten him and how Vanitas again has nothing as his precious emotion factory is no longer his. Vanitas accepts.

Cut to the Castle Oblivion, we have our Castle Oblivion throw back level, Aqua unlocks the world and finds Ven... yada-yada-yada. Vanitas shows up. He's practically giddy with excitement at seeing Ventus again after all these years. He attacks and fights Aqua and Aqua is winning. Vanitas is injured and knows he should retreat but is just so damn bloodthirsty after a decade of waiting he charges back in. Well, Sora does his waking thing (Which shows up... just as the plot demands. Fuck development, right?) and Ventus joins the fray. Now Vanitas goes ALL out on a massive boss battle.

Hell, maybe this is even before Aqua unlocks the world and we could potentially move the boss fight from location to location via Castle Oblivion? But the point is, Vanitas goes ALL out and this is actually where he dies. He is taken out. Maybe Ventus even merges back with him in some 'Vanitas is apart of me as much as vice versa and he's the darkness I need to own up to' thing? But Vanitas is dead.

End Disk 1.

Because this game really has bad pacing and introducing Vanitas early on and then killing him off for tension and as a good mid-point boss would be GOOD. Like... Idk, I feel like some other game in the series also killed off a major antagonist at the mid point in a really tough boss fight in order to up the stakes in the plot. Its almost as thought its a good pacing idea.

What was Vanitas thinking, challenging Aqua? He couldn't beat her when he had the x-Blade, why did he think it would go better for him without it?

Combination of Bloodlust and knowing Aqua is weak from a decade of darkness?
