Yeah, Handshakers is a good contender for worst anime in the last decade. I never got past the second episode, but God am I glad I dropped it when I did.
Ee-yikes Hand Shakers looks bad as hell.
Yeah I laughed hard at the "Boku No Pico" joke.
Lindsay's "thanks I hate it" is gaining momentum, though I thought it came from someone else and she just picked that up for a review.

Hand Shakers has the distinct honour of being the only anime I've ever seen that's physically painful to watch. Which sounds like an exaggeration, but I'm being quite literal- flashing colours, rapidly changing images, and insane spinning cameras lead to nausea and headaches.
And, like, there is a fair amount of effort put into it, but that only makes the fact that it fails on just about every level all the more remarkable. It's a unique cocktail of ambition, resources, effort and utter incompetence. and so it manages to a level of infamy that the low-effort shows forgettable shows that compose the worst anime in most seasons can't hope to match.
I will say that it managed to land in So Bad, It's Good territory for me at times, though- like the blatant sequel hook ending, which had me cackling at the sheer misplaced confidence on display. And the fact that a sequel was eventually made only makes that funnier.

I've physically had worse reactions to watching some anime. But Gankutsuou is more of a "bold artistic decision that an unfortunate minority of people have bad physical reactions to" than the hot mess that was Hand Shakers
I echo Gliphon here, since I wasn't comfortable watching Handshakers because of its weird animation and modeling.
Handshakers being physically painful to watching is a fairly well known issue. I thought W'z was an improvement on that issue, at least
That show where the camera jerks around the girl as she has her hand on the sleeping boy's head actually gave me a very slight vertigo
And I've never had vertigo from watching something before. And it's a scene of two people sitting down.

Y'know turning largely lighthearted material Darker and Edgier to this degree is usually only something I see people make jokes about, it's strange to see it actually happen.
Because it's the tone that's actually appropriate to the story in this case. I really can't imagine Hyakkimaru blabbering about after seeing the anime. >.>
Geoff discusses how the spirit of Avatar: The Last Airbender lives on in The Dragon Prince. Note that Geoff talks about spoilers for the latter show.
Huh, y' know I didn't really think of primal and dark magic in that way.
In my opinion, Dark Magic is not necessarily wholly evil. Yeah I've seen its True Power-esque effects, but just because something is in the natural order, does not make it right and good.
Humans make use of the meat, organs and skin of animals in order to grow stronger and clothe ourselves, this is not unusual.

I think the problem is when you start using the parts and energy of sapient beings like elves and dragons, which is what Claudia intended to do and i'm sure this is what some human mages also did before shortly before their banishment.
MB saw the latest One Punch Man Season 2 trailer and ..... he wasn't impressed.
... I ... didn't ... see any worse... animation from the new OPM Season 2 trailer. It was widely panned?? By who? Then again, I didn't SEE the trailer, I just saw what MB included in this episode and what he showed was only 10 seconds! You cannot judge one whole season's animation by 10 seconds! Which makes this entire video .... kinda needless to me.
It was actually over a minute with some action shots of Genoa.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."just watch the trailer and you'll see that it isn't very impressive compared to the first season's trailer
Bumbleby is best ship. busy spending time on r/RWBY and r/anime. Unapologetic SocialistThe trailer starts out with 8 seconds of a black screen, constantly flickering of black as if to cover up shitty animation, a single fight for a show known for its awesome fight scene that is inferior in quality with most of the trailer having scenes with little to no animation necessary and all seem to be taken from the first two episodes, so nothing to actually inspire confidence here.
Reddit, Myanimelist and You Tube all think it's shit.
I'm just more perplexed that I did not know any of this until today when MB uploaded this video acting like I should. He doesn't get to tell me what to think!
How did he do that?
Maybe actually check out the trailer before watching a video about the trailer?
Its a damn shame to see that the One-Punch Man anime might really be a one-hit wonder.
Not to say the new season will be completely bad but damn if it won't be as highly regarded as the first.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."OPM's season 2 looking like shit has been the major talking point all over every anime-related social media. He can hardly be blamed for expecting people who follow an anime-based channel to have heard about it. It's been all the anime community's been talking about all week.

well, there's a new thing to talk about now:
Re:Zero is finally back
Bumbleby is best ship. busy spending time on r/RWBY and r/anime. Unapologetic Socialist
That's some high-grade low-hanging fruit… but I had never seen a detailed analysis of this show, now that I think of it. And I thought the visuals were the only thing outrageous in this…
Still, I can't help but feel like this show had some kind of effort put into it. In all the wrong places, but still. The characters designs, for example, don't actually look that bad if you ignore the atrocious lighting and coloring. Can you really call it worse that Master of Ragnarok…?
PS: Also, bonus points for the "Thanks, I hate it."
