There was this tweet where the Russo’s implied the title’s initials were A:E.

Annihilation also implies something very specific that this movie isn’t actually doing. We’re a long time from seeing Annihilus in one of these.
In any case, this was a lot of mystique for a pretty bland name. It doesn’t even really spoil anything from Infinity War like they said, because while the word is used in an important scene at the end of the film, it’s used in a very specific context and you’d have to already know that context to understand the reference anyway.

From the bit with Scott, I don't think much time has passed since Infinity War. No more than a few weeks. Why? A couple reasons: first off, I sincerely doubt Scott could've gotten himself all the way to Wakanda, even if he somehow knew that's where all the Avengers were (and I'm not sure he'd have any way to know that). That means Steve and co. had to be in the US. But they didn't know he was alive. Since he was under house arrest, it should've been very easy for them to confirm or refute his death, because they would've known exactly where to start looking. So they've had time to regroup and go back to the US, but not enough time to definitively confirm who's alive and who's not. Although now that I think of it, it's possible they did go looking, but he was still in the Quantum realm, and they thought he'd been Dusted. And it would only take a few weeks of drifting in a damaged space ship for Tony to run out of supplies and be on the verge of death.
Given the state of the world, they probably assumed he got dusted when he didn't immediately try to contact them after the fact. Plus without knowing precisely where he was, they simply might not of had the resources to do a thorough investigation.
The main reason I'm thinking 6 months to a couple years is more because of Hawkeye. Even if his whole family got dusted, he probably wouldn't of gone all in on the Rhonin persona day 1. I think that would of taken a little bit of time.
Altgough we should also consider that there might be a few timeskips early in the movie. So the movie starts in the immediate aftermath of the Snap, then jumps forward a bit. Potentially it does it again.
Especially if Shuri herself got snapped in the process, creating a succession crisis with the lack of direct heirs.
It's a shame as I would be down for the hypothetical scenario of Queen Shuri struggling to pull her country back together despite her Spare to the Throne lack of experience, but that's what fanfiction's for.
Apropos of nothing, thanks to tumblr I just noticed that Steve is wearing the stealth suit.
Also, thinking about Tony. If they kill him in this movie, no way it's going to be something as anticlimactic as suffocating in space; obviously somebody has to rescue him. I seem to recall being told on this very forum that Captain Marvel was going to make her first appearance in Avengers 4, and then have her own film. So my theory: Carol has been off-planet doing whatever, and gets The Page from Fury. (I can't imagine she was anywhere on Earth without knowing something huge was happening and showing up on his doorstep before he had the chance to summon her. And it would explain why that pager was so tricked-out looking; it was a device meant to send a message across space) So on her way back to Earth, Carol finds a dead ship with a faint life sign (or two, if Nebula is there and just in a different part of the ship) and brings them aboard her own ship. Tony (and Nebula) gets rescued, Carol gets some idea of what's happening, and that's how all the OG Avengers get back together on the same planet.

Well he's talking to a blonde Natasha, and while he's clean-shaven, his hair looks to be as long as it was in Infinity War, so I don't think that particular moment was time travel. It's during the "this is going to work, Steve" "I know it is, because I have no idea what I'm going to do if it doesn't" exchange.
Nebula's scene probably takes place at a different point in the movie than Tony's. That seems like the obvious answer to me.
Tony is absolutely on the Benatar.
Not only is that the Benatar's windshield in the background, the same one we've seen the Guardians looking through many times, but look at what's around him. Those are four of the cockpit seats that the Guardians sit in when they're traveling around the galaxy.
This ship being the Benatar is indisputable.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.I think most of the ships have names that are fairly easy to miss or outright just Word of God. Their first ship was the Milano, the one they took from the Ravagers was a Quadrant from the Eclector and the one they have in Infinity War is the Benatar.

For some reason, I thought it would be called either Avengers: Annihilation or Avengers: Retaliation.
Continuously reading, studying, and (hopefully) growing.
