He’s like Deadpool. Brands are nothing to the power of the Fishburne.

He really did ditch DC, hard. Or at least, there was a whole thing where he was vocally dissatisfied with the way DC handled their movies.
To the point where after the news broke about him not being in Dawn of Justice, and his response when people thought he would be upset was basically him saying he didn't give a crap because he felt DC needed to focus on getting their act together with or without him.

But why would I lie like that?
<Ducks a brick>
Ok, fine. DC has Wonder Woman. That's on par with all ten years of Marvel movies I'd say.
One Strip! One Strip!Ultimately he's in both universes becuse he was cast in a role in both universes and there wasn't any conflicts in the shooting schedule.
The whole Marvel vs. DC thing is really something only the fans care about. While the companies are in competition with each other, it's a very friendly rivalry and noncompete contracts are basically unheard of in Hollywood.
There's practicality issues with an actor having a major role in both the MCU and the DCEU when it comes to shooting schedules, but the kind of role Fishburne has? Not even the slightest problem.

I remember Melissa Benoist joined the cast of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. for a dubsmash war. All the actors in both companies (except for like, two people in the Netflix shows) are just having fun and are friendly with absolutely everyone else in the comic book adaptation business. Even though I dislike the DC movies, the actors are clearly having a blast.

In Hollywood non-compete clauses basically don't exist. People are contracted to work on a movie or set of movies, and any other work that doesn't physically prevent them from doing so is fair game.
The only way being in the DCEU might of prevented Fishburne from being in the MCU is if they wanted him back for a movie that shot at the same time as Ant-Man and the Wasp. And even then only if shooting schedules couldn't be reconciled.
Okay heads up everyone: Leaks are going around that have reasonable evidence behind them. I foresee it going around fast so be cautious.

This song needs more love.Well, as soon as those leaks start making it here, I'm taking a break from this thread.
One Strip! One Strip!![]()
I'll make a spoiler thread. I'm curious to see others' take on it.

This song needs more love.Damn. Like an idiot, I clicked on the Spoiler thread only to realize oh shit, I don't want spoilers yet.
I only saw a bit, but it may have been too much.
And thus, Handsome Rob is stupid. learn from me folks. Learn from me.
One Strip! One Strip! So i just saw the movie and it was a great and funny just like the last Ant-Man movie.
And we have another sympathetic MCU villain since we learn why Ghost is after our heroes.
My favorite funny part in the movie was when Janet temporally takes over Scott's body to help her husband and daughter fix the machine that can help rescue her. Seeing Paul Rudd imitating Michelle Pfeiffer was hilarious.
And we learn where Ant-Man was during Infinity War.
For this movie, I'm waiting until I read some reviews from a feminist perspective. I wasn't pleased with Ant-Man in that regard.
If Wasp is a fully-realized, well-developed character with her own story arc that's not about a man, and isn't shoehorned into a romance with Scott, I might go see it. If she's a glorified sidekick with some cool scenes and cliche "girl power" lines by/about her, I'll skip it.
They do say there's a romance between Scott and Hope, which I found extremely unnecessary and tacked-on at the end of the previous film. There's no reason for it to exist except to allow an unexceptional male protagonist to "get the girl" - the same as was done with Quill and Gamora. I'm sick of it.

Saw the movie, great flick.
Hilarious with good action set pieces & nice heart.
Didn't like Ghost though. As mentioned she's another Tragic Villain & I'm kinda feeling a bit tired of that.
Like I'm not that familiar with Comics-Ghost but I feel like the movie incarnation isn't as cool as the bone-thin socially maladjusted corporate saboteur freak with hygine problems who could also fly like an actual ghost.
I mean was Ghost a government trained assassin in the comics?
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."You do know that comics Ghost has little to no back story, right?
MCU Ghost is a step up. Also, there haven't been tragic villains like Ghost in the MCU before. She wasn't even all that villainous, Her goal was not to die.
Even Killmonger was still villainous. So if you're comparing her to villains like him, you're off the mark.
Anyway, before his redesign in Thunderbolts, comic!Ghost was also an expert with firearms and explosives. So being a trained assassin wouldn't be a stretch
Also, I'm happy she survived. And maybe the tease of her being in a Thunderbolts film that was mentioned in a few interviews might happen.
