I imagine it would be a very dark and mysterious place, so what kind of supernatural creatures would you have inhabiting it?

[up] Define what you mean for "The Void Between Worlds" first. Because that can mean some sort of inter-dimensional space or it can just be a poetic way of saying actual space, the stuff between planets and stars.

The way I've got my multiverse set up the void between worlds is a kind of Conceptual Space where thoughts and information can propagate but not matter. Beings that live there are more of a complex line of thought or platonic ideal rather than something plausible. They're rarely malevolent and can be quite helpful if you work in line to their nature.

As long as they stay in Conceptual Space, that is.

The problem is that Material World are imperfect. Between basic entropy and human nature nothing real can ever match the idea we have for it. Conceptual Beings don't handle the transition well. Passion becomes Rage, Love becomes Lust, Abstract mathematical concept start animating stonework as they get applied in ways they aren't supposed to. Larger, more complex beings can resist this effect but they also are adverse to materializing in our world.

Sounds pretty similar to the Warp. So I guess if it's full of conceptual data entities, then the monsters/daemons would be made of the sort of data that is either inherently unpleasant or is twisted/taken to its logical extreme. Something that embodies the concept of ending, of finality, could become an Omnicidal Maniac. A concept as nice-sounding as unity could inadvertently try to trigger Instrumentality and turn everyone and everything into Tang. Of course, there could also exist more positive data entities as well.

In this thoughtspace they probably don't need sustenance per se to survive, but maybe subsist off of merging/consuming other data, or maybe they feed off of thoughts and brain waves from sophonts living in material reality.

Also if gods exist in this setting, it could be thougt beings who adapted to the live in the setting, a god of thunder woul dbe just that, the concept of thunder but united by how mortal see it.

Eldritch Abomination bacteria. I get the idea that if whatever first god emerged from the Cosmic Egg, other more primitive life could also emerge. Simplistic creatures that float around and eat mindlessly, however because they exist beyond our dimension its a Normal Fish in a Tiny Pond and they do weird things to space-time when present. And they probably wouldn't survive in normal space-time, like beached jellyfish

Another possibility would be that while it was originally uninhabited, over time beings came to be in the various universes that became so powerful to exit their own universe and survive inside the void.

Those beings could be anything from your typical Eldritch Abomination to humanlike creatures that somehow ascended to Physical God status. Naturally there will be a few dramatically less powerful individuals who either got there by accident or were purposefully put there by the beings mentioned above.

Alignment could of course vary widely, some of them might have taken a liking of a specific universe (their origin or not) and act as (or are) gods there. Others might visit many different worlds as a multiversal sightseer. Though it is unlikely that omnicidal ones still exist since they would either have already killed the others (and all universes) or were stopped by those who like having everything around.

There is only one: Donald Trump is watching you from where he waits, eternally in the void between worlds.

I feel that there would be some complete beings in this void, but they are vastly outnumbered by the fragments of concepts scattered around them. Fragments have a tendency to gather in an attempt to make a complete being/idea, but a lot of them turn out to be incompatible and scatter.

There is always a possibility, no matter how improbable it may seem. Just start thinking about it, and it will haunt you forever.
