Garden of Spirits: Machina and Eura, Talking to Yourself
Machina squinted a, staring at Eura's notebook, she slightly frowned. She expectes something different once she got into mana, she stood up, in a lax position with her back against the tree and her arms folded behind the back of her head she spoke aloud, seemingly to herself.
"Mimics huh? They're a curious concept, I ain't one for creating living organic things but I do like the idea of a trap that doesn't need maintenance from the builder. Like... A self thinking, self maintaining mechanism." She took out her pen and spun it slowly, taking out from her bag a notebook that read Diary on the cover in printed letters. As she stared at
"Hmm... Maybe I should try to do that with some magic, I wonder if I can give something a mind, beyond something like a golem. Like... Creating a friend instead of a mechanical guard, that'd be really nifty, we could spar together" she said and smiled widely as her imagination ran wild with ideas.

Shopping District, Academic City of Màna - Elysius Region, Kingdom of Allurand: 5th Day of Keystone, Year 8745, Feastday, the ninth hour
By instinct, Harry might have touched fingers to his forehead in a salute. But his arms loaded as they were, he only nodded. "A pleasure meeting you, Ms. Allard." And another to Kendrix and her pet. "Squire Cassan." And with that, he was off. Last they saw, Harry was trying to angle a nugget atop his bundle into his mouth with his chin.
Màna Inner Rim, just outside Mireena's Tower, the Garden of Spirits, the 13th Hour
In the Garden, Harry looked upon the duel with distaste. While ritualized and legal, dueling had a way of getting too messy when the participants got too heated. And also, it was an ugly reality of laws. So instead, he made a circuit around the garden. He nodded occasionally to people, before finding a shady spot away from the ruckus.
There was a stone bench amidst the lush greenery. It was here that Harry took a seat, brushing the seat of his pants automatically and sitting down to listen to the harp.
The Garden of Spirits
The beauty of the spring garden was not lost on Medaglia, together with the soft chime of the harp. The duel did not interest him much beyond having a look at the crowd most various gathered around the perimeter.
Someone was clearly trying to avoid attention. "Hail, blue one." Medaglia said as he approached Kiri. His visor made it impossible to tell where exactly he was looking, but the single eye placed upon the red mask was more than enough inquisitive. "Or perhaps "red one" suits you more, all things considering. Why shirk from your peers?"
Dora sat with her bags, exhausted. It had been far too long and she just wanted to start her classes already. Sitting nearby the Divination college, she watched the goings-on with vague disinterest.
Two students had decided to duel. She did think that fighting amongst each other was pointless, though she had to admit it would help hone one's skills in certain situations.
I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither.Garden of Spirits
Kiri's musing on his environs was interrupted by a strange creature, which after a moment he realized must have been one of the featherfolk. At his words Kiri tugged on his sleeves and tried to hide his neck on the collar of his robes, wondering if new scales had appeared where he had once thought it safe to expose. Once more his tone was on the defensive, red eyes shining up at Medaglia's orb as he felt his ring heat up with some agitation. "What's it to you, bird-man? What're you doing here, anyway?"

Concettina... was a bit surprised by such a violent sport. Was this how Elysium folk spent their time? Through beaning each other with their studies? Was this even allowed in the handbook? Was there a handbook? "U-uhm- is, is this allowed? This seems more than a little bit worrisome," she fruitlessly spoke out.
Suddenly, she found herself approached by some figure. Turning to face him, crossing her arms, she says, "Well, I honestly have no clue!"

garden of spirits
Erin was watching the events unfold from the branches of a tree and decided that it was best to stay up there. She lay in a corner and relaxed for a while. Her mind began to wander, about the future and if she would ever get to become an evocation student. She had always found gardens relaxing and napping in a tree was a favourite past time of hers. She was very tired and just a little nap surely wouldn't hurt much. She wrapped her wings around herself and allowed herself to drift off to sleep. I used to plug my deviantart here but turns out the link was too long.Garden of Spirits, With Kiri
"Am I not a fellow student?" Medaglia opened his arms slightly to present his robe of an apprentice Transmuter. "We may not be learning the same curriculum, but I see no reason to be uncivil.
"As for why I am here in particular, it is to inquire about your secrecy. Is there a reason you avoid attention? Surely it cannot be because of the red scales upon you. All should be welcome on these esteemed grounds. Such is the benevolence of the Ladies." He raised his opened arms slightly and looked up towards the sky. "If your intentions are not foul, your race should not matter."
Outer Ring, 9th Hour: Shopping Shenanigans
“It is,” he said to Dora, remembering his awe during the first few days of living in Mana. “You’ll get used to it after a while, though—”
Another person entered the conversation. Nyxus couldn’t tell who it was, though the newcomer sounded taller than him (and considering that he stood at around six feet, that was saying something), and was spouting an almost melodramic bit about the magnificent sight (not that’d he’d know about that) of seeing Mireena in flight, as well as unworthiness of the favor of the gods.
“It’s not that big a deal, though,” he said to the new arrival. “And the name’s Nyxus Aster. Divination College.”
Inner Ring, 13th Hour: Duels at the Garden of Spirits
Nyxus, like many of the students currently waiting for Orientation to begin, was observing the ongoing duel. He had been no stranger to fights – after all, he had been training in hopes of joining the Kallian Defense Force before his exile – and while he was not certain he’d be allowed to duel due to his… handicap, he also didn’t wish to let his skills become rusty
He’s being sloppy, the young Divination student thought to himself, leaning against a tree as he watched the match (Those nearby who had cast Detect Magic would quickly realize that he had as well, and was trying to maintain it). A direct spell such as that, especially one that needs such overt actions for casting, just gives an opponent time to dodge. He’s going to run out of shields if he doesn’t change up his attacks…
His mind ended up wandering to a potential issue that would come up if he were to duel later on. Aside from that one spell that caused psychic damage, Divination didn’t exactly lend itself easily to offensive spells like the ones in this current duel. Would they allow him to bring his bow to the duel? “I suppose I should find out later…” he said to himself quietly.
Aaaaand post done. Sorry it took so long.

Garden of Spirits, Kiri and Medaglia
"I don't like attention 'cause people are loud, alright?" Kiri replied with a tone that was somewhat harsh, though it softened after his first outburst. "...and the scales, too. I'm still getting used to them, and I know that people related to red dragons...don't get liked anywhere here. It's easy for you to say, but your ancestors didn't kill the king's parents."

Allurand and surrounding world loading, 28%...Garden of Spirits - Eura
One moment Eura was contentedly scribbling something in her diary (or first draft, as she liked to call it) and the next someone was talking. To her.
It took her another second to realize that the other girl was talking about mimics. Which means she would have read it. From her diary.
With an almighty shriek that would have woken up the dead (not to mention any sleeping students in trees!), Eura quickly clutched the battered notebook to her chest and scooted about a foot away from Dia.
"Y-you can't read this! It's private! I haven't even editted the first draft!"
Garden of Spirits - Duel
As Asher and Concettina continued to watch, the youth in red scowled and stomped his staff on the ground, releasing a wave of ruby energy. A sound like a clear chime rang out for a second, and then the half-elven girl was forcefully ejected from the ground literally a few inches behind the youth and was sent flying towards the magical fence and colliding with it with a loud crack of energy and a subsequent disappearance of one of her shields. The girl rose, almost pouting, to her feet.
"That's just the duel club." Someone in front of the crowd told Asher and Concettina. "They're practicing really hard for their big tournament. They have a match with other magic schools in two months. Kallian's...and I think a school from the Crowns, too? Anyway, don't worry. It's perfectly safe. Especially with Professor Yorrick mediating."
It seemed that was who the old dragonborn was.
Garden of Spirits - Next to Dora
"May I sit here?" A woman's voice called out to the Ichthyan, soft and gentle.
Dora would see that the speaker was a woman who looked human, maybe in her mid-thirties or so. She had loose, wavy hair that was a shade of blue so light that it was almost white. In addition, she had eyes that were the color of rubies, deep red. She was dressed in conservative robes of white-blue, and a black armband that denoted school faculty. Tucked under her arm was a silver harp.
It seemed that she was the source of the singing earlier.
The woman briefly turned towards Elodie passing by and called out "You're doing great, dear. Keep working hard!" before turning her attention back towards Dora.
"Er, sorry about that. I don't want to bother you students, but I wish to tale a break somewhere quiet. I'll have to get back to work soon."
Garden of Spirits
Alvurac groaned from within his tree at Eura's loud shriek, before rolling over just a little too far and losing any of his little balance he had atop his branch. With a thud and a burst of flowers on the earth below, he fell face-first onto the ground.
Not even bothering to get up and tell the girl off for disrupting his nap, he simply reached under himself and pulled out his notepad from where it was squashed under him, before placing it down next to him and flopping back onto his face, clearly trying to get to sleep again.

Dia's thoughts were halted by the nearby shriek, she rapidly blinked, shook her head and stared at Eura, her eyes half-closed.
"Wha? What's the big deal?" She squinted at her, and nodded her head from side to side. "Don't see why you're making a fuss out of it, it's just like, notes. No top secrets or anythin'"
"Plus nothin' that interestin' there anyway" Machina shrugged before a body fell right from the tree right near her.
"Woah what the..." She moved closer to Alvurac, inspecting him and poking him in a few places. "Hey are you okay? That was a pretty bad fall"
The boxer poked her own cheek, noticing him moving and trying to get back to sleep. Maxwell turned to Eura, her face showed confusion and worry.
"Y...You think he's gonna be fine?"
Before, With Dora and Nyxus
"'tis a pleasure. May the secrets of magic be revealed to us humble souls." Medaglia nodded. "And you might think so, yes. Not many gods would let their followers see them in the flesh like this. We have gotten used to this, but one should never do so, lest the magnificency loses its meaning."
"To divine in particular is to conduct with the higher powers. I wish you best of luck in your endeavours." He nodded again, the eye of the visor appraising Nyxus.
After, With Kiri
"Quite." He could not say his ancestors killed a king or anyone of importance. He was confident that he could not say that they did anything of importance themselves. They were insignificant; only important in the swarm of the faceless who fed the world from Copia. In that sense, Medaglia could appreciate them; otherwise they were lost on him.
"And yet it is sayeth: no child shall bear the burden of their fathers." An elongated, freakish hand placed itself on Kiri's shoulder surpisingly gently. "One's fate is never set in stone, even if your heritage was that of Great Evil. It is your choice to make whether you would commit to the legacy of your ancestors, or cast it aside as I have."
"My name is Medaglia the Falcon." The hand slowly moved back and the not-falcon bowed his head in a greeting. "May I have your name, red one?"
Garden of Spirits, with Medaglia
Kiri nearly lashed out at Medaglia's hand on his shoulder, but he remembered the words that were given to him what seemed like a year ago by the royal consort himself. Strike only if someone strikes at you.
"I'm...Kiri," he replied after a moment, letting out a sigh of small relief when Medaglia took his hand off of him. "That's it. Do all falcon featherfolk look like you?"

There was a shriek in the distance. It was far away, but Erin's sensitive hearing just picked it up. She awoke slowly and dazedly. She decided to wake herself up by flying around the garden. She took off and flew around.edited 6th May '18 12:23:39 PM by QuantumMelody29

"Nay. What you see is a unique creation of my own design." Medaglia shook his head. In hindsight, he didn't quite look like an ordinary bird, but perhaps he wasn't an ordinary avian either. "It is my goal to achieve what I have christened as Perfect Form - a temple of a body so grand, so magnificent and so resplendent, it will be able to take to the skies and meet Lady Irida."
"Such was the task her glorious incandescence bestowed upon me six years ago now, and I aim to see to it thoroughly."
On Perfect Form, With Kiri
"My previous identity is of little importance. Obviously, I cannot alter my race, and I do not think it possible without outside interference." Medaglia shook his head. "But if this creation of mine will withstand the splendor of the Sun, it will be good enough to meet her."
The garden of spirits and such
Finding the garden to be the most comforting place that he'd encountered during his stay within Mana, Cormac quickly went about turning a small, quiet corner of the garden into something of a sacred grove to Solera. As he wandered from tree to tree, Cormac used his runestone to mark each tree with various runes that held sacred meanings to his people before drawing a large circle on the ground, and within said circle, the sacred symbol of Solera
◊.
Pleased with his handiwork, Cormac took a moment to sit under one of the trees and simply meditate on how far he'd come and how much he was going to continue improving until he could return home.
Then magical explosions continued to break the silence and interrupted Cormac's meditation, and despite his best efforts, the druid was unable to regain his focus.
Rising to his feet to try and find the source of the commotion, Cormac quickly spotted the crowd huddled around the dueling grounds and deduced that the commotion was indeed, coming from this neck of the wooded area. Spotting a friendly face near the duel in Nala, Cormac joined her under the tree and asked "Dinnae suppose you have any idea about what exactly's goin' on here?"
"Vulture lover! Zero cover! Ate a raw plover! Die for another!!" Just as she had last time, Kendrix appeared from seemingly nowhere and slid into position next to Elodie, shredding out her own lines. Since she'd been last seen Kendrix had also changed into her Evoker's robes, and also swapped her blunted sword for the sharp one; it was a sort of "beat up the biggest guy in the prison yard" situation as she thought of it, if the Mages here were actually violent or arrogant enough to try to intimidate her. It was the same reason Kendrix tried to think up new lines. She'd heard bards drop lines like that before, and she was pretty sure she'd just mispronounced "plover," but it was the collaborative spirit that mattered there. She also wasn't about to just waste the 10 minutes she'd spent thinking the lines up.
"Seriously though, it's good to see you again Elodie." Kendrix rested a hand on her sword's hilt and took a relaxed stance. "How are you liking the garden so far?"
Garden
"Ahh!" And as a result of Kendrix appearing out of nowhere, Elodie got spooked. Yet, she held that Ahh throughout the whole time Kendrix spoke casually, she doesn't really wanna end this sudden bard batle with a weak startle. No, she gotta continue it.
"...aaaah shit, you would die for my chowder, then you realized you couldn't make another, come up to me for some more, on one condition that you don't make me snore."
Yeah, that should wrap it up nicely.
"Deadass, good to see you too," Elodie responded back. "And the garden? Well, I haven't walk around and looked too much into it yet but so far so good, especially with the artificial spring and Mireena herself, I presume, singing in the background. hey, speaking of which, have you heard of this new barding movement where they combine melodic singing like this in the backdrop while they bard to the beat? I'm kinda emulating that style."

Garden of Spirits-Duel
Nala leaned up against a tree, observing the duel and taking notes on the necromancer duelist. after the cafe she had let her information with all of the students she had met, leaving an Elvish symbol for friend surrounded by a small heart for Eura's note for her defense of Nala.
Looking up she noticed Asher flirting with some new girl. Well, there's no friends she has around that I need to distract, so I'll let him have his fun.
Nala returned to her notes, jotting down a theory for how the giant bone arm was created.
-dramatic music ensues-
