Either that or he wanted to be a supervillain in life but was too small potatoes to actually make it big and got himself killed the moment he upset an actual supervillain.
His punishment in Hell is an ironic and self-inflicted one — Hell seemingly grants his wish by making him into a supervillain like he always wanted. But even then he's still more or less a petty armsdealer who gets on the wrong side of the actual big players. And because only Exterminators can perma-kill demons and because he's too delusional and stubborn to quit, he'll never be able to get out of this rut.
Hell is repetition.

Disgusted, but not surprisedPretty sure Nifty is nuts. There is a blink and you'll miss it thing during her intro where that is blood stains on her dress. Given her seeming disappointment at the lack of men, I'm guessing they were her preferred targets.
Regardless of your opinion of the last American election, we can all agree on one thing- The Chinese Communist Party can choke on scrotes!... am I wrong for hoping Niffty will not turn out to be deranged/a yandere?
Don't get me wrong, I love Alastor as much as the next person but it would be nice to have a character apart from Charlie (and Vaggie, around Charlie at least) who isn't a jerkass, Faux Affably Evil or both.

Only time will tell and I actually found a good thing to see some people in Hell other than Charlie and Vaggie aren't assholes. Don't get me wrong, I'm apathetic towards mean spirited humor in general but yeah, that would be a breath of a fresh air haha...Though I don't mind if Nifty turned out to be a yandere cuz why naut

"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."I bet the Exterminators will play a part of a Wham Episode. Either it is revealed that one of the main cast is affiliated or IS one (Vaggie seems likely), or they would attack the Hotel itself and start killing off clients because they think it would get in their agendas, whatever they are.
Or maybe they would be a bunch of bureaucrats who stop Charlie and the gang...because the Hotel violates (Hell equivalents of) health and safety codes.
Something I just realized when I tried to look up the lyrics: the first song in the pilot is an actual real life vaudeville song.
Now I can only see the two goat minions' names as shoutouts to Chicago ("Give 'em the old razzle dazzle...")
Speaking of musicals, I think the rabid busty blonde dog-woman seen during Inside of Every Demon is a Rainbow is a Legally Blonde reference.
"It's just like... a series of overlapping curses..." - Flower Knight DakiniNiftty was going on about women.
...she won't be a female misogynist, right? Right???
Of all background demons, my favorite is that Egyptian demon lady in the crowd at the news studio
Wonder what's her story, she has to be from ancient times
If there's anything Pentious cherishes and can be used against him, it may be his love for his son based on the comical throwaway line. Maybe a nice dose of Cerebus Retcon...
Oh and to @M84, I think I like your theory better than mine

Apparently some people online are bitching about how the LGBTQ Characters in the pilot have actual flaws.
Not sure if its true, but if it is, its probably the younger fans who don't understand that Perfect LGBTQ characters would not work in a setting like this.
Watch SymphogearWell, how is Vaggie portrayed? I don't want to speak for everyone or make assumptions. She's nice, protective of her gf and has common sense. She doesn't want trouble from my understanding and it could be God is a supreme homophobe
Angel Dust is a riot and I'm sure he's freely expressing himself because he most likely couldn't when he was in life during 40s. And deep down he ain't all that bad
Alastor being Asexual is well...okay? He still would slap Vaggie's ass if it means pissing her off more than usual.
Again, I don't like how Vaggie's been disrespected so much
On meme-y notes, I love all the memes on r/hazbinhotel. There's low-effort ones but some amusing ones

Vaggie's only "flaw" so far is that she's the dour killjoy straight man to the rest of the cast. She's vainly trying to call people out on their bullshit and she's constantly being mocked and/or ignored for her efforts.
She's also the only one who seems to realize what a spectacularly bad idea letting Alastor anywhere near them is.
Disgusted, but not surprisedMaybe Charlie is her Emotional Crutch without her, I feel Vaggie would go... insane or she would slowly lose whatever sense, morals and empathy she had and turn into an amoral, callous psychopath. Like everyone else.
She does not have it easy and I do feel sorry for her.
Also as much as I appreciate all these HH x Doom jokes and crossovers, I'd like if HH itself didn't acknowledge it, it'd feel stupid and tacked on
Edit: okay I have a pressing concern, what if alt-biscuits and other trollfucks decided to unironically praise HH for the LGBT because they're all in Hell and say like "how it's appropriate, they all deserve it"?
I feel like they'd praise it for having LGBT characters in Hell.

Vaggie lets her temper get out of hand too much & that makes people yake her less seriously since everyone assumes its jusr Vaggie being a kill joy again.
She makes it way too easy for Alastor to take over & he's aware of it by how much he mocks her during his musical number.
He's pretty much having a hoot messing with her there.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I imagine Vaggie's life in Hell without Charlie would be much like her life on Earth. Which probably wasn't a very happy one.
That seems to be the trend in Hell. The damned quickly fall right back into the ruts they were stuck in while they were alive and are further enabled by the easy access to vices, the fact that their mistakes won't end in them dying since only Exterminators can perma-kill them, and the fact that everyone around them is also awful. It also doesn't help that the damned seem to gain powers and are transformed into forms that reflect who they were in life. It's hard to move on from your sins when your very body is a constant reminder of said sins.
Alastor at least seems to believe that the dead can't change. Only the living can change.
Hell is repetition.

Disgusted, but not surprised The reason why Angel Dust volunteered to be the first to try the hotel? Because if it works he can put a really permanent barrier between himself and his brother (who killed him on their dad's orders) and father (who gave the order due to being a homophobe).
That is assuming they didn't get exterminated in one of the purges (perhaps thanks to machinations by Angel Dust leaving them exposed? Perhaps not?) and also assuming he gives a fuck about them anymore of course
My guess is that Angel Dust is starting to feel like his existence in Hell is hollow. Sure, the first few decades of indulging in every single repressed urge he had in life were a blast, but anything gets old if you do it long enough, even (no — especially) rampant hedonism.
Sure he relapses, but on some level he probably wants to leave Hell and find something more meaningful in the next life. Maybe even an actual loving romantic relationship with a decent guy.
But like I said before, it's hard to change in Hell. Everything and everyone works to ensure that stay at the bottom of the crab bucket and keep on doing what got you into Hell in the first place for the rest of eternity (or until an Exterminator purges you).
Hell is repetition.

Disgusted, but not surprisedI feel like he'd also try to convince Cherri to change her ways and come along, since Cherri is his best friend.
Speaking of Cherri... any theories how she ended up and what she has done?
At this point, Charlie better come up with something.
This is gonna be a test ultimately, and see if she has what it takes to change, even just a little under 50% or if she'd crack and... grow up to like her parents or even Alastor.
Queen Charlie the tyrant. She could end up like that. She could give up after repeated failures, humiliations and mental breakdowns and embrace Hell's wicked ways and... yeah
Edited by Dhiruxide on Nov 4th 2019 at 6:09:49 PM
The first guess would be she was a Mad Bomber or a pyromaniac who killed a bunch of people with her explosives.
Disgusted, but not surprised

Nifty is the cute girl that works with Alastor right? I'm not going to be surprised if she hid a rather deranged personality inside of her a la Yuno Gasai
