Okay, looked up what might happen on Google. It'll be bad in like several hundred miles around the place, but aside from it getting colder most places in the US will get like a fine dusting of ash, that and we'd be in trouble agriculturally until the ash goes away.

Trump delenda estIn the Ashfall trilogy, they remedy it somewhat by building greenhouses, which then have to be heated artificially with wood-burning furnaces, then with water heaters when they restore electrical power with a system of windmills and car batteries.
How many of you have read this novel, or series of novels? I've just read the first book. It's a book about a teenager from Iowa who is trying to travel eastward to find his parents in the ashen wasteland created in the wake of the Yellowstone supervolcanic eruption.
