Time to start updating the character sheets. And, no, I don't mean changing Cassidy to "The Chump".

I'm starting to think Zoe is going to be out third main character. She's almost certainly going to join the team at some point.
The big block right now is that Zoe's a rookie and what Undine and HP are facing is far above the norm. Unless something gets Zoe involved whether anyone likes it or not, I can't see HP and Undine letting her join up.
Especially HP. Her whole I Work Alone mindset is based on only her paying the price if she screws up. She can team with Undine because she respects Undine as someone who's strong in her own way and can watch her back as much as HP watches hers.
Zoe's not there yet.

smh Bud you can't just blame others for Zoe running away considering that she was part of the reason Zoe felt anxious when Kokoro's posse showed up
She certainly isn't, but I still think events will conspire to get her into the team. Plus, we don't know what her powers are, maybe they can make up for it.
*Tessa sighing in the distance*
Oh... heh. Whoops. Fourth protagonist. Zoe might eventually become the fourth protagonist.
Although if we're on the subject, I'm not sure about what Tessa's status will be in the future. Something tells me that Goops plans on possessing or turning her at some point. Even if not that, I don't think Tessa's gonig to go back to being a heroic character. Couldn't tell you why I have that feeling, though. Haven't stopped to analyze that yet.
I can see her joining because she's inexperienced. Safety in numbers!
She's been surrounded by bullies and gossips pretty much every time we've seen her, but no one but her cousin even mentioned it... I guess it's kinda hard to deny someone's gender identity when it's just gotten divine endorsement.
My posts make considerably more sense read in the voice of John Ratzenberger.Mary ruminates on Steven King self-inserting himself into all of his works and realizes that she's in a similar situation.
I don't Stephen King, is Goops McGee gonna kill Mary to make an example to Undine
Nor when you receive a power exclusive to girls.
I haven't read enough of Steven King to know if he handles it very differently. He does a lot of write what you know with protagonists that are writers, often struggle with drugs, and or car accidents
Mary's just seems a self cameo slash call back to her diary comic
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI've seen that sort of thing referred to as a Hitchcockian Cameo on How Did This Get Made?, like how Stan Lee shows up in Marvel movies.
Oh, I thought it was the opposite. I thought she was born female, identified as male, and then the divine magical powers were like "Who gives a shit how you feel?"
I was wondering why everyone here was using female pronouns.
If it helps, here's Cube's exact words on the subject, seen here: http://www.sleeplessdomain.com/comic/chapter-9-page-17
While we're on the subject, since this has also been asked quite a bit: I don't plan to have NB magical girls in the comic, just because there's such a complexity to the ways that can present, and I don't want to give anyone the impression that I think "This Is How I Think It Would Work, For All NB people." That said, I also wouldn't say it's not possible within the rules of the world! There's lots of valid ways to imagine how a system where "anyone who's a girl can be a magical girl" works with NB, but that's not really my place to adjudicate, I think.
I hope that all makes sense!!
Mary also might not want to depict transphobia in her comic.
Considering how she helped treat Alex, I'm thinking Vedika has the power to calm people down or something like that.
Cube's doing art for Pride month
And here's Outrageous Lime looking more Outrageous than ever in the Pan Pride colors.
Truly truly truly outrageous

Huh. I totally missed that bit. Cool.
