I mean, Rue has a point. It someone got the knowledge or the resources to find out, it would be the government. If anything I am surprised she is not proposing the government is keeping the isolation on purpose.
Yeah, the way Rue phrases it the government Conspiracy sounds almost benevolent.

Well that is certainly ominous. If Goops can interfere with Dreams, then it looks like the theory about Tessa becoming a Dark Magical Girl is very likely.
I was just assuming the Girl in White couldn't contact Tessa because of how she lost her powers.
That or she has similar issues with all retired Magical Girls.
Remember, we don't actually know if Goops is involved in any of this yet.

One way or another, the Girl In White is still trying to contact Tessa in a dream, suggesting a possibility that Tessa could, in theory, regain her powers/become a Magical Girl a second time, and, more importantly, that she wants Tessa to become a Magical Girl again for some reason.
Of course, maybe she can do that to all former Magical Girls, but considering Tessa's plot relevance, I'm gunning for the theories.

Another possibility is that losing her powers hurt her in some way that the Girl in White wants to heal, whether or not it would give her powers back.

In other news, Mary Cagle draws a tit:

That's not ominous or anything.

The Alt Text really hammers in just how linked Undine was to her team
also uhhhh looks like Tessa's in for a ride
No kidding. Next time she might go from tits to boobies.

Did they really not have another photo of Undine where her dead teammates aren’t awkwardly cropped out?
Also that tit is amazing. I’m so glad

Not sure what Rue is referencing in this.
Maybe it has something to do with the fish thing? If the contents of their stomachs can get through the barrier unscathed, presumably anything placed inside of them could be used to scout the outside. Get a big enough fish and you could send people out of the barrier, then.
I'm more curious about the fact that Tessa's parents are starting to notice her behaviour, and she seems more emotionless by the comic. Mary does a good job of showing how Tessa's feeling, though, with all of the grey-shaded food.
Also, "School Play Day" poster on the back there. Think that'll be important?

I looked up tunnel theory. The first result was a psychology term, Tunnel Effect, but Wikipedia science articles get jargon heavy real fast for my taste so I don't trust myself to describe it correctly.
The second result was Quantum Tunneling, but given the above I'm not even touching an article on quantum physics.

Oof. This one is very effective at getting inner feelings across.
Yeah, gotta agree. A job well done. Cube is getting better and better at this kind of thing.
Took me a second to realize that the panels were breaking apart and it wasn't some kind of spider webbing strung all over the page
This slow breakdown is really effective in webcomic format
It starts at the very bottom of the previous page, if you go back and look.
Right after she sees Will and Rue together. The worst, center panel cracks also come when Rue says he's not that bad after all.
Oh no she’s going to turn into a mermaid over guy angst

Like ships in the night.
I want to say not that kind of ship, but I'm probably wrong.
Also I half wonder if Tessa is deliberately calling when she knows she'll miss Undine. Now I think this chapter will end on Undine coming to see her after school like Tessa did Undine in chapter 3 or 4.
Well, she seemed relieved when Undine couldn't come to the phone, so I guess she might be doing it on purpose.
It's a mystery.
